So was I
It was an outdoor performance and the attendance was quite low...in fact no one turned up, so I wasn't too concerned about footwear..but I will consider your opinion for future performances.
Thank you - but I was being facetious ...
This is very disrespectful - Cage's notes say nothing about bare feet ...
Hi there..thankyou
Hi there

Its such a shame hes gone. I used to talk to don and evon when i saw them. Now i barely see any of them. The pipes sound so beautiful
Theres no way you actually cut off you’re leg
Hahaha
It would be interesting to see you make a video all about you and about you’re life story
That's kind of you
The Mateers came to Ireland to NZ too (from Armagh to Denniston). Good song.
As a schoolchild in the late 60s and early 70's growing up in Auckland Mervs voice was just a very sparkly happy sound coming out of the radio as I got ready for school each day. RIP Merv you made life growing up back then very happy and entertaining. Great upload xo
the question that we can reflect upon is the sands on earth are still being produced. at around 57x 10 to the power of 3 , that calculation is the production of poo from fish. if I were to also estimate that stars are being produced then it could be interesting to attempt to try to say that every x a star is being made. so x equals time and y equals production of stars.
Thanks for uploading this. I'm from the UK and have vivid memories of the Certain Sounds coming to my town in the early 70s. Two of the fellows signed my autograph book, which I still have.
Nice!
Nice Cover!
awesome
Have you got more of this? The 1989 stuff is gold! Full versions?
Nicely noted!

What a great band! And hard to believe 29 years later the rythym section (Graeme Flaws on bass and the drummer ???) are no longer with us, RIP lads, we will miss your great talent!
Drummer - Wally Tairakena. A very special person in my life. Wally and Donna Tairakena.

Bet you wish you were half the man President Trump is. It sounds like you are in the deranged group with Hanks and De Niro
Those fuzzy wuzzies we fought them we gave it to them they don't like up them no sir, that cold steel, they don't like it up them.
Fantastic man with a perfect NZ 'reserved pronunciation' voice. Very funny but also very serious. Was doing ad's broadcast over the nation right up to his death. Worked tirelessly as a volunteer narrator of talking books for the blind for 48 years. He would have made the joke that it was lucky they didn't see him. On air for 57 years. He was undervalued by his early employers. An early TV personality a hobby actor and a very kind man. His death is a big loss for NZ.
R.I.P.merv and McHAIRY=you were both truly loved.so very sad
When and I love it
well said
terrific songs.....could be all compiled into a great musical!
When dealing with the subject of religions value it is important to try and step back. To avoid the emotional appeals since religion is such an emotional topic for so many people. To step back and ask, are there good things done by religions? Yes. Are there bad things done by religions? Yes. The next questions to ask are: can religion make otherwise good people do bad things? And I would say most definitely yes. This is likely what inspired most of the New Atheists after the suicide bombings and hijacking of planes by Muslims on religious grounds. But also looking back at the histories of every major religion which was spread due to violence. So, then we ask, if there is so much bad, what counteracts that? And before we get into metrics of weighing goodness and badness I propose a better question: Is there anything that religion does that ONLY religion can do? And so far as I can tell the answer is no. There is benefit, value, or goodness that religion can accomplish that cannot be done independent of religion. And thus religion becomes an archaic institution in my mind. Seeming to exist for no other reason than to provide stability since people are unaware of the non-religious options (but not because those options don't exist). That's not to say I seek to eradicate religion, since I don't actually seek to eliminate that which is good, benign or even mildly bad. But that's because I believe in personal liberty and freedom of expression. Rather, I point out that religion isn't necessary, since it isn't. And I hope some day it will simply fade away on its own. Perhaps akin to having a favourite colour or celebrity.
