Hello everyone and welcome to my channel. Here I will be uploading videos of everyday average tows.
F&E Towing is a small family owned business located in San Jose Ca and we focus more on towing bigger commercial vehicles. we're not too big on recoveries but slowly we are easing in to it as we get more experience. Follow me as we get through every day tow scenarios and I hope you guys learn from my videos as I hope to learn from you guys. Please if you guys have tips or advise I would love to hear from you guys. I Hope you guys enjoy my videos and watch us as we grow. Hopefully one day I will be uploading rotator videos for you guys and uploading pretty intense content. Some videos will be in Spanish for my Spanish speaking viewers.

Haven’t seen you post anything lately hope everything is ok be safe out there ❤
How did you know that hook was behind the seat
Your not going to reinstall the driveshaft? Y’all make it hell on us mechanics. We have to install for free before we can even move it. Not cool.
💪💪💪 haven’t seen a video in a while. Hope all is well
Noice
Why 2 air lines?
What is that wrench you used on that npr
Grasias por compartir buen trabajo. Cuidate
Great job as always. However personally I don’t think you should have your legs stretched out under your lift. A hydraulic cylinder failure would be catastrophic for you.Stay safe out there!!🙏🏽
Awesome video. I saw you on 101 north yesterday. Keep the videos coming.
Thank you
The CZcams Algorithm sent me to you, good vid. The under reach looks a bit different from some of the others I've seen on here. Yours looks like it can articulate to tuck back inside/under the tow body in tight spaces?
I towed a Hino today, it had 1/2" driveshaft bolts. And I had to cage the brakes.
Those Hino air lines can be a pain in the butt to remove
Hi ❤
Eddie, question have you towed a front wheel drive sprinter van? Or a Mercedes benz sprinter van? I find it kinda tricky, no where to stick the forks
I haven’t forked those. Usually when I don’t see a way to fork a truck I use my wheel grids. I also hate those Mercedes motorhomes they come with torx head bolts on the driveline.
@fetowing9231 yes exactly E14 socket. My wheel lift grids are extremely heavy and wide. It's easier to fork it, and forget it
Safety chain to the sway bar? There is No way that sway bar would stay attached to the Motorhome if the motorhome came off your undereach. That sway bar is only held on by small bolts. Should have gone to the frame with the safety chains. Also you don't have a (Tag) Axle. You have a (Pusher Axle). If the lift Axle is in front of the Drive Axle then it's called a Pusher Axle. If the lift Axle is Behind the Drive Axle then it's called a Tag Axle. The reason they call it a Tag Axle is because it Tags along behind the Drive Axle and they call it a Pusher Axle because when it's down it actually pushes against the steer axle making it hard to turn. I'm assuming your Pusher axle is like mine on my Mixer and it turns with the steer axle otherwise you would have to lift it up every time you make a turn. When you gonna get a 50 Ton? Start doing some heavy haul and recoveries. Be safe out there.
I didn’t know that thanks for the info. I’m working on upgrading but with work being so slow at the moment I get 2nd thoughts on purchasing one.
@@rob8308 Ok clown. I operated a 50 Ton wrecker for many years I know what I'm talking about.
@@dandunning4409 ok asshole, you know everything about everything cause you operated a tow truck... wooopty do
Seems like a problem with the shift linkage on that bad larry.
Ah!, good stuff. 👍👍✌️
Why not just back up boom out and lift it over a little instead of dragging it?
Yea that works too. It would’ve been a little cooler to lift it too.
Well for one it's completely unecessary, Nothing wrong with sliding it over a little bit it isn't going to hurt anything, you'd have to be dragging it 100s of feet for it to be a problem. Next it's just more rigging and you can only go so far with it by lifting and booming it, with the weight he could probably suspend it and pull forward instead but that's not usually fun traveling with a suspended load.
@@towtruckaj Omfg. Dude hush, I got plenty of experience operating a heavy wrecker and it's not good on the air bags to drag it like that. So don't tell me!
@@dandunning4409 It is absolutely not at all hard on the air bags to pull a truck sideways... What is infact hard on the air bags is suspending the rear of the truck without anything holding the axles up hyper extending the airbags... hense the axle chain on the floating axle when in tow...
@@towtruckaj Whatever clown! I see you think you're an expert!
I agree you need some new rim slings and a clean truck! LOL Boy that's a lot of mud!!! Good hook, very efficient! Good job Eddie. Only question I have Eddie is why don't you wear any high viz clothing? Is it not required where you guys are? I would live in that stuff if I was doing hooks all the time. Just wondering. Still a great job!
Only time I was asked to wear hi viz is when I was hooking up on the highway but that was just 1 time. Other than that I haven’t been asked to wear hi viz. I’m not too sure if it’s not required or if it just isn’t really enforced. I carry a hi viz vest in my truck just incase.
They really need to do proper studies on the effects of high vis against drunk drivers before pushing it down peoples throats.. The problem isn't typically being seen, the problem is drunk and distracted drivers, and nothing is going to get a distracted drivers attention more than the lights on our trucks, our high vis will do nothing, and drunk drivers I suspect would be attracted to high vis like a moth to a flame. Now I agree high vis Is very useful for say construction workers who are out and about on foot all around the roads, but for tow operators we often are working right in our lit up scenes where our truck sits, our lights flash, and we have plenty of white scene lighting, High vis does not much there.
Eddie, question do you tow for Transit Pros? Or Copart?
No I try to stay away from motor clubs that lowball.
S_ _t happens
I tell the lot guys if it runs you can park it isn’t there job
If they ask nicely I don’t mind but if they’re being A-holes I’ll even hide the key and take off.
You would know if it's loaded, as soon as you picked it. Eddie I love your truck. Even dirty, it's still awesome
Thank you
Good morning!
Good morning 🌞
Gotta ask you my friend. Why don't you have more light on what you're working on like the drive line or the airlines or something of that nature.? It just helps us to see what you're doing better even though it may be second nature for you to do it without lights on! Just a thought! I do like watching your video tho!😁😁😁
I like the personal view rather than the chest mount view but that's just me!!😀😀😀
Excellent job
Do you have fb page?
Dope
thanks for sharing bro
Hello there, I have analyzed your CZcams Channel and found out some problems, do you want to talk about it for a while?
Dope video bro 😎 keep them going
Thanks bro. I got more coming soon 💯
nice work
I use some bungees I found on Amazon with carabiners on the ends, makes it so you can put them on without taking out those u bolt brackets and it makes it so you can’t loose a lightbar as you have secured closed connections, and if you need to hook to something like a bumper they can still hook to things just like a regular s hook can.
Nice I need some asap. I will definitely look in to those thanks. 🙏
@@fetowing9231 the carabiners for the ones I got left some to be desired, the spring for the gate broke on one already but you could always get some wire gated ones.
Nice channel....some really good content here......i subbed.....keep up the good work. Greetings from Illinois.
Pretty cool your vid popped up on my recommended and here I am commenting 👍🏼. Good to see content I like being recommended. I got u on the sub 👊🏼
I see you got those Rhinos rachet straps. I found U-line way cheaper and seem strong. Only took like 3 days in the mail.
Yea they’re great I haven’t really put these to the test but they’re way better than the old ones I use to buy at Walmart.
I like the personal view better
What happened to your right diesel fuel tank??????🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨
Some lady merged on to my truck on the highway claiming she didn’t see me.
@@fetowing9231 oh. wow. ok.
Hey bro..Instead of using the binder, use the boom to tighten the chain by changing the angle using the tilt. That way chains will never come loose.
I like using the binder for these type of box trucks because it hugs the frame to the forks so that it doesn’t slide back and forth. I can’t picture it with out a binder. Email me some pictures I’m always open to learning new ways.
Any video footage of it?
Those ratchets you used on the steering wheel are great. No messing with extra material being in the way. The chest mount view looks great, I personally prefer the cap mount cause I can see everything you’re doing clearly. I do understand the part about banging the camera cause it happens to me all the time and it’s annoying 😂
Yea for towing I think the pov is better and for winch outs the chest mount
@@fetowing9231 yeah as long as you’re getting great view with the chest mount. I’ve seen guys that wear a chest mount and wind up recording the bed of the truck the whole time 😂. I like the POV so I can learn what the operator is doing especially with heavy duty work.
Hopefully that guy works there, iwould not give keys to a random guy, especially when he is asking if it runs, lol ,thanks BigAl California.
Yea I’ve seen him there every time I go
Hey F &E Towing!, smart idea with the ratchet, steering wheel to the pull-up handle. 👍👍✌️
Thanks 👍
❤
Eddie, did you put those bumper hooks in, or were they already there
The owner put them on before I got there
@fetowing9231 that's cool I was just wondering. Sometimes they're a pain to get in
Bro that winch line looked pretty dry? Might have been just the way the video was BUT ha, you put the hook on the wreckers D Ring pointing down. OUCH. Should always point the hook up that way if it breaks it should go to the ground instead of going up in the air. Anyway nice job. You got anymore recovery videos?? That 25 ton makes a lot of money.
Yea it’s covered with mud we’ve been super busy with winch outs. I don’t have any recovery videos at the moment but more tow videos are coming up this week.
Hey F&E Towing!, you just said Freightliner, I think you meant to say Freight-shaker!!👍 😎😎
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Nice job getting both out. 💪💪
