I never had the privilege of seeing Journey in their first prime, with Steve Perry. I am 20 years old and saw my first Journey concert yesterday in Toronto. Arnel was just incredible all the way through. I’ve found that YT videos don’t really show just how incredible the singing really is. I can’t imagine what it would’ve been like to hear Steve Perry in the early 80s in person. But no matter what we say, while Steve Perry was responsible for Journey’s first prime and their absolute peak, Arnel catapulted Journey into their second prime.

Hace unos días viaje a mis Tulum, visité Xcaret y asistí al espectáculo por segunda vez después de varios años sin viajar a Cancún. Muuy buen show, y diría que es el mejor de México. La experiencia fue muy bonita especialmente significativa y conmovedora, sentirte parte dé por ser mexicano. Disfruté mucho el final con la música y la aparición del caballo y las guacamayas volando. Me gustó tanto que he vuelto a ver el espectáculo en CZcams.

Steve Perry and his residuals🤣😂 Since Arnel Joined the band in 2007 He has only written about 4 songs compared to Steve writing many of the hits from back in the day with band mates Cain and Schon every song they have had since Trial by fire album from 1996 hasn't had the success like the ones with Steve Perry Steve will always be ''The Voice"'

IN MY OPINION. Arnel is better than Mr. Perry Steve made Journey and Arnel saved Journey.

I was a fan beeing a kid then later on followed them in a distance bought som 80:s albums sporadically as well as 70s albums before that, went to some concerts as well but dropped them because of crappy albums and because of the brand making stuff and not beeing genuinely appreciative in the fan perspective all the lies theyve been pumping out to the fans of whos playing on the albums the shallowness of the band and that money grabbing stuff but i gotta hand it to them! A smart move! Image wise it just shows how much an image can make a band! And the longevity of it! 75-77 was their best period they got lucky meeting manager Bill Aucoin and Bogart as well as Sean Delaney they helped them get to the big time
