From what ive seen alot of people like to disregard toms playing abilities because in their opinions hes a mediocore guitar player and they often come to those conclusions after comparing his writing and playing to other players that are far more technical due to the music theyre playing and what i find silly about that is alot of em probably dont even play any instruments at all lol the thing is not every player needs to be a EVH or tosin abasi level player to get their message across to the fans, as long as the player is playing from the soul and the fans can relate and are moved by whats being played thats all that matters ......IMO of course.... ive been a guitar banger for over 20yrs strong now and have a broad range of playing capabilities and i personally tend to find the more simple riffs and chord progressions to carry more depth and be more impactful at times as a listener...

Tom’s voice doesn’t sound so deep here either and this was 2012 why with AVA is voice that much deeper than it ever was with blink-182 whether the 1990s-2003 or 2009-2015 with blink-182 Tom doesn’t use his deep voice too much but with AVA he does it’s so weird

I love reckless abandon even acoustic but I swear half the time Mark starts to and half the time Tom does like their earlier performances of this song Tom starts it but their later performances Mark does and yet Tom sings the rest of it haha
