The lesson here is : Never gamble in Spain.
You didn't fool them but it was one of the best routine I've ever seen on Fool Us history, it was amazing
Many thanks for the kind words!
Wow, this was a seriously magical performance from my perspective. Especially the fact that you didn't even say Tellers card and it just jumps out of the box. That was awesome :)
Thanks so much!
Penn meant that "it's same trick on different background"
Nooooooo where's Allison
The three of clubs on the bottom was a fun easter egg! A regular deck on the ladder would have fallen over. So there was a hidden mechanism, or at least magnets. I loved the routine!
Thanks for watching!
I think I have two of the three figured out and part of the other one, but the missing part is really baffling me. All of it was well done.
Many thanks!
OH MY GOD…. I have exactly the same ladder in my house right now.
Ha ha me too!
Outstanding! I was starting to lose hope for P&T fool us - this was great.
Many thanks!
Wow, the last time i saw you were rushing out to get married. LoL Now you have your young child. Well, time really does fly.
Thank you for the watch and time does seem to fly!
Hey Jimmy, it’s Dane. My wonder and love of your magic tricks that started on the volleyball bus in high school continues to today. Always an amazing performance, you got ‘em next time!
So good to hear from you and thank you for the continued support! Hope you're doing well and drop me a line if you're ever passing through Orlando!
This was really clean, almost no opportunity for funny business, but I have a few guesses... For one, at 2:15 you can spot the mechanism that's doing the lifting on the side of the deck, though he quickly covered it. It seems that it probably doesn't extend up more than half the height of a card, so you can still freely shuffle as long as it's at the 'bottom'. I imagine he can easily cut the deck at the location of that mechanism, so when Penn puts his card back, it's in the position where it can be lifted The second was at least partially a free choice - not many choices, but not just one, anyway. But if we assume the first mechanism is a thing that can be triggered wirelessly, he could certainly stack 10 different ones in a box and trigger one of them remotely depending on what he writes, and had lots of opportunity to swap the first deck on the way to the ladder. This would explain why Teller had to pick from such a small set of cards. Choosing which one to trigger might be done by someone offstage, because it'd be a bit hard to discretely choose a trigger The third, it wouldn't be hard to record 52 different endings and select one. If there was no camera cut, it'd be much more believable
2:30 Did you intentionally put 3 of clubs at the bottom of the deck? 🤣
Ha ha I wish I was that clever
You are a true Fooler in my book! And I enjoyed the Worlds Highest Rising Card routine. Brilliant !
Many thanks for the kind words! I'm a fan of your magic and hope to run into you again in the future!
As do I Jimmy
What the!?! This is crazy!
Many many thanks! I've greatly enjoyed your magic on TV and hope we can cross paths in the future!
For the first one, i'd guess it's the traditional method for that trick. For the third, I think that's some CG magic. The second one stumps me, but there must be some tech hidden in the ladder, though I am not sure how it would work.
I’m glad your balloon didn’t get shot down down
Me too! Thanks for the watch!
I've watched all three appearances of Jimmy. This guy has the best tricks I've seen in this show, and yet still fails to fool them. I am pissed for him. And Penn's face and look at 3:31 shows how he is astonished and asking Teller for help here :)
Many thanks for the kind words!
I also do the rising card trick... except the card is in my pants.
Brooke was still talking at the end and Jimmy was like “okay gotta go.” 😂😂😂
Ha ha very true...I had didn't remember it like that so funny to watch it play out on video. If I get another chance, I'll try harder to stick around and listen.
What a friendly guy, the smile is infectious
The balloon one is easy to fake lol
Your warmth is infectious and your humility inspires🤍💙 Loved this presentation style and the whole routine. Much affectionate wishes and prayers for all your family and you Jimmy🙇🏻♂️ san. . Wish I ever travelled to NorthAm or you travelled to India, as it would be a big deal and bring us lots of joy to see you perform in-person.
Thank you so much for the kind words! I'd love to travel to India someday!
Wizard 🪄
Thanks!
I think Brook should have more than one outfit. It’s a killer look, but mix it up… a little.
Shout out you for answering every comment while finding every possible variant of thank you😂
Ha ha yes, I'm trying! Thank you!
Love your energy, man! Great trick!
Thank you!
Fantastic, bravo!
Thank you!
A classic X-file, classified under, "It was a just weather balloon!" I loved it!
Much appreciated!
That was a fun performance. But i have no idea what the hell Penn is saying with his code. hahaha Maybe it's better that way, too. 🙂
Thank you!
Bring back Alyson!
It is so mind blowing that it hurts trying to think about it. I wish i could say, it was beautifully done, but i havr no idea what you did. As Penn said, you did one thing 3X.
Thank you!
It’s tough for the magicians on fool us that do something so “impossible” that in the end there is only one way it could have been done. Like Tellers choice here. In some other tricks there are 100 unlikely/implausible ways a trick could be done and P&T have to choose one. But here it’s so clean that there is really only one way (no matter that it was really difficult/implausible and they might struggle to recreate it - they knew it had to be that as there were no other possible options). Maybe if the magician had given Teller a card in a way that might have suggested a force maybe he’d have walked away with a trophy. But that’s kind of playing the fool us game rather than focusing on the quality of the trick - as it would make it less impressive to the audience. Anyway great job going for the impossible!
Thanks for watching!
I like the way this guy moves his hands when he talks.
ha ha thanks!
Beautiful, Jimmy!
Many thanks for the watch and the kind words! I'm a fan of your work!
Wow, this performance of the Highest Rising Card trick is absolutely mesmerizing! Your energy and enthusiasm throughout the entire routine were truly contagious, and the way you engage the audience is a testament to your incredible talent. Might not have fooled them, but you had me baffled
Thanks so much for the kind words!
and thank you for the excellent performance!@@JimmyIchihana
I can't imagine how they figured that out. That was amazing. And like the final card, Penn's hints sailed well over my head.
Thanks!
Very entertaining, well done!
Thank you!
This was the first magic trick I did for my family. They were gobsmacked. Rising card is truly the most magical and unique trick for newbies. I am so sorry that the other variants didn't fool them but you had guts to play this on Penn & Teller and it was wonderful to see. Thank you for trying to fool them with the most simple of tricks in magic, you are king.
Thanks!
i just love Jimmy's energy. He is just so happy to perform magic, and just so happy in life. I don't know anything about him other than his performances on FU, but I feel that the world would be a better place if we all had his attitude.
Thank you for the kind words!
💯 ❤
Zaada drama ho gaya
The rising card has always been my favourite effect in magic and I'm so happy to see your creation on this effect are just incredible, please don't stop creating more amazing effect on card magic!
Thanks so much!
Why am i more impressed with the first 2 than the final one?
Because the final one could be done trivially with 52 different pre-recorded video clips (the camera cut _after_ the card is named is pretty indicative).
Thanks for watching!
Really cool😆
Thank you!
I thought Snoop Dogg would have had the highest card trick record.
Card Force (Brooke) ❌️ Fake case ❌️ Greenscreen ❌️ Trick ladder ❌️ Try again ...
ha ha thanks for watching! I hope to try again!
Personally the ladder one was more perplexing than the weather balloon one for me. Great performance all around though!
Thank you!
Jimmy: Bravo.....AGAIN!
Many thanks!
I think they don't want to be fooled to give out a trophy that's well deserved.....
I hope to try again!
Can’t even comprehend how the ladder part would work. Awesome job!
Thank you so much!
its the deck. clearly
