Steam Boat Mathilda leaves Travemunde
The little steam launch Mathilda sailing from Travemunde on 24 May 2017. She was running an excursion to Lubeck, but sadly I didn't have time to join her, as I was due back on P&O's Aurora (in the background). She is normally based in Hamburg, and has a lovely little steam engine which runs like a sewing machine.

We encountered this pod of dolphins while sailing off the west coast of Skye between Loch Bracadale and Mallaig. They entertained us with a spectacular display of bow riding for 15 to 20 minutes.

G H describing the joys of sailing in the West of Scotland as we pass the Small Isles. He is a little geographically confused, but that is a common problem on Fairy Nuff

A clip from a Grampian TV show from the early 90s showing an interview with Captain John Norman MacDonald of the MV Suilven, the Calmac Stornoway to Ullapool ferry between 1974 and 1995.
Sad news to hear of Suilven's demise this morning out in Fiji...I sailed on her last sailing back in the 90s before she was sent out to New Zealand.
Hello. I’m sending this message 8 years later
I sailed on this ship so many times going home to Tabost Nis. I nearly always vomited! Not the Sullvven's fault. I am a rubbish sailor! Eventually I earned enough to be able to fly from London to Glasgow and then fly on to Sternobhagh!
Wonderful! We were lucky enough to see dolphins on the way to St Kilda in 2003.
i would love to see the bridge
She's a strong ship and still fighting stormy weather out in the far east.
She met her demise in Fiji last year... Sorry to bring bad news. Great ship, i probably wont feel the same..
