Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver-Museum of Appalachia's Tennessee Fall Homecoming 2004

Here's one more great set by Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver from the main stage of the 2004 Tennessee Fall Homecoming at the Museum of Appalachia in Norris, TN. Out of all the different performances I have that they've done at the homecoming, this is probably the most hard-driving out of all of them. So I guess you can say I've saved the best for last! Enjoy! Video courtesy of Rob-Mar Productions i...

Here's a set performed by one of the best traditional bands in bluegrass music on the main stage of the 2003 Tennessee Fall Homecoming at the Museum of Appalachia in Norris, TN. Fun fact: I along with my dad and grandparents were in the audience for this very show! I was 8 years old at the time. These guys kicked butt from start to finish! If you haven't figured out by now, my favorite band of all time is Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver which is why I'm uploading yet another set of their music from the main stage of the 2001 Tennessee Fall Homecoming at the Museum of Appalachia in Norris, TN. If you're a real hardcore bluegrass fan like me, you might recognize the fiddler who later went on to join one of the hottest bands in bluegrass...

Here's a great, but brief performance from legendary old time fiddler, Bob Douglas on the main stage of the 1997 Tennessee Fall Homecoming at the Museum of Appalachia in Norris, TN. At the time of this performance he was around 97 years old. He would later make his Grand Ole Opry debut at the age of 101! I'm not sure what the first tune is, but the second one is Monday Morning Blues. I'm specif...

Here's another incredibly strong set by DL&Q on the main stage at the 1996 Tennessee Fall Homecoming at the Museum of Appalachia in Norris, TN. This particular configuration of Doyle's band never made any studio recordings, which in my opinion is highly unfortunate, but thank god we have this live video recording of them. Another fine set performed on the main stage of the 1998 Tennessee Fall Homecoming at the Museum of Appalachia in Norris, TN. Not sure if any of the family are still involved in bluegrass, but I do know that Tina and Shaunna broke away from the family band in the early '2000s and had their own country duo. They did a great collaboration with Dolly Parton on one of their albums. Not sure if that...

@@bluegrasshack3810 I sing and play in a local gospel group in my area. I do what I can for the Lord. Our group is the New Harvest Brothers, from Clintwood, Va. I do know quality when I hear it. I always go back to the Tennessee Fall homecoming video. It's a favorite.

@@michaelmullins1290 That’s great about the group. Keep going! Donny and Steve were friends when they were young kids. They began to take their sound more seriously as they got older. Over time, the Tennessee Gentlemen formed consisting of local Memphians. There were a number of members through 40 or so years, with the men who cut these albums being the longest-lasting. They had fun and traveled over 100,000 miles annually throughout the South and Southwest. (NOTE: Right here is what I thought I lost earlier! Whew!)
