    It was 50k in 1990 lot of money! Not a bad looking or riding car!

    Of course, I don't know what they edited out, but I do like the honesty allowed in the answers for these interviews.

    How exactly can a video be "rare"?

    • @ENDTIMEsVideoLibrary
      @ENDTIMEsVideoLibrary Před 2 lety

      Some videos are out of circulation so their very hard to find out in the public any more.. Especially when they were not Mass Produced for public sale.

      pretty much any sales video or any other video intended for training, manufacturing purposes are rare because they were not intended for public release.

      The moment it's on CZcams it isn't rare anymore, but before that..

    One of the Worst cars ever

    • @luisinhoens90
      @luisinhoens90 Před 2 lety

      it was not a bad car but poor value for the money. The car was assembled halfway in Italy shipped by air and the rest assembled in the US. Talk about an expensive and absolutely inefficient manufacturing. Cadillac would repeat this mistake with the XLR roadster, the only difference being it was entirely built in the US, yet the price was so expensive it didn't bring enough buyers in

      It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. Definitely not a high point for Cadillac.

    Are you still operating this service, could you do an Aiwa hs-p07 head auto reverse so 4 heads I believe.

    As a Mercedes-Benz sales consultant and an Allante owner I really appreciate what this has to offer. Many of the points presented here hold true in 2021. Make your customers feel special and important. Listen to their needs and make them smile :)

    No disrespect to the previous poster... But after manufacturing thousands of heads over 4 decades for every type of analogue machine imaginable.... In many cases on an OEM basis...... Rubbish....! A relap in most instances will make an old head work better than new.... Ask me how.... ;)

    The more you have to lap, the wider the gap becomes on most heads. Good bye good HF. If you are serious then pop a new head in.

    • @scottdorsey3755
      @scottdorsey3755 Před 6 lety

      The pole pieces are flat and parallel on either side of the gap. As the head wears (and as you lap it), the thinner the _depth_ of the gap is, but the gap does not open up. As that metal is removed, the inductance changes, so by measuring that the tech can get a good idea of how much time is left on the head. Now, when the head gets to the end of its life and there is no metal left behind the face, THEN the gap will open up. This is more dramatic a problem on multitrack heads where (because as hard as you try the tape tension is never even across the face of the head), the top and bottom tracks tend to wear faster and you can wind up with a situation where 1 and 24 are marginal and the middle tracks are fine. THIS is when you replace the head. This video doesn't do a good job of showing the actual head geometry so that you can see what is being removed where, but you can look at a cross-section drawing of the head to see what is going on.

      New heads are increasingly unavailable these days or if available often expensive. Tape heads have been relapped from the beginning of tape recording.

    Would you be able to relap the play head for my Akai 4000DS reel to reel? It really needs to be done. I so how much would it cost?

    • @theotherchannel2279
      @theotherchannel2279 Před 4 lety

      Akai heads are some of the best in the industry, they hardly wear. I have not seen an Akai with bad heads...

    • @davidhaney1394
      @davidhaney1394 Před 3 lety

      @@theotherchannel2279 You have no clue what you are talking about . The GX heads are ferrite , so they hardly wear , but thats not what he`s asking , he`s asking about the 4000DS heads which are NOT ferrite and DO wear badly . I have hundreds of them that are worn to the point of extinction . So to say Akai heads don`t wear is just totally wrong . Akai GX heads very rarely wear , but , they do crack .
