Emmen airport : Antonov AN-124 take-off as seen from roundabout
Standing in the straight continuation of the runway, and looking directly into the sun, the approaching AN-124 starts with a rather eerie appearance. Once overhead, it gets back to a customary look. The bar visible at the onset is part of the airfield lighting system. The date: 5 December 2017

This was by far the finest herd of zebus we encountered on our 26 day tour to the country. The animals were well fed, had a great variety of colors, and I very much like the many shapes of their horns. The High Line is the undisputed highlight on the Durango - Silverton narrow gauge railroad. Here, engine 482, a K-36 Mikado, slowly pulls a long string of cars towards Silverton. Heavy blades for a small craft. It was an interesting concept but certainly there are more agile and lightweight and safer alternatives now.
What engines are in the plane? The original engines supposedly needed to be replaced after 20 hours. .

That train looks similar to Kansas City Southern (KCS) and the crossing is the American crossing but the sign is not English. That’s all just pointing out some stuff.
What happens when one engine fails?
Both engines turn both rotors at all times. Least this is standard with other dual rotor helicopters like the Chinook or Osprey.
