Good job man. What was that noise?
That was my Air compressor kicking on.
Uuummmm what noise?
👍🏽
Thanks man this information is very valuable
I had this problem after I replaced mine with an APDTY purge valve, it immediately started ticking really loud after the car warmed up. I replaced it when I changed the vapor canister, vacuum lines, egr valve and new gas cap. Everything else was acdelco but the purge valve. I put the old original back on and no problems. I had no codes by the way, just normal maintenance because of the age of the vehicle.
Soo what was it I'm having that problem right now
This is my issue I’m having with a 2017 Cadillac XT5. You can feel the ticking on the valve and hose going to the gas tank. I did buy an elcheapo today. Will try it tomorrow to see if it fixes my problem. By the way no help from the dealership. They said it’s normal. I call BS.
Did the elcheapo fix the problem? I bought a cheap one and it ticks just like the old Dorman one did. Time to break down and buy an AC Delco one.
@@Donnie_Prestwood the elcheapo did quiet it down but didn’t take it completely away. I have noticed it coming back again. I think it’s time to dig deeper in my pocket for the OEM one.
This is happening to mine after just doing a timing chain replacement, might try this.
did this work? exact same situation here
@@FRANKIEG911Mine was a timing chain, teeth on the sprocket were almost gone. Mercedes C250 apparently a common issue for those engines and not a cheap fix unfortunately! Hopefully not the same for you
Wat was the issue with yo car did it stop the rough idle
Excellent video. This was my issue on a 2013 GMC Acadia. Huge help!
I have same problem. Sounds like a knocking noise that is consistent with idle speed rpm. You hear it because the rigid purge hose routes down past the steering column and makes contact with hoses and harnesses along the way. I wrapped my purge line with copper pipe foam insulation and it dramatically reduced the sound. I'm unsure why the valve is getting an oscillated signal. I thought it was normally closed and would only open for a set time period, depending on parameters.
Did your engine light come on prior to replacement?
Same problem with me. I have a 2011 gmc terrain v6, u can hear it thru the cabin, very annoying tiking sound, goes on for like 20 seconds and stops, and then y does it again. I replaced it with an original ac delco and it does the same thing
Do you know they run a check for about the first 20 seconds of self checkp
@@dereksuperstrong1210 no clue but it does it all the time, even when the car is on idle
Did you ever fix it
