So i did a test, got back into skating after a decade at 31, and i cpuldnt decide ehat i wanted because i dont have enough experience, so i went with two builds 8.5 inch andy anderson flight with thubder hollow lights bronson g3 bearings and spitfire 80 hd chargers. The 2nd is plan b 8" with independent stage 11s red bearings and ricta clouds 86a. All i can say is i dont really notice a difference in anything except the TRUCKS, and even then both are great in different ways, ehat i reccomend is just finding a deck on sale, trucks on sale that are either thunder, independent, venture or even mini logo and get reds because they come with spacers, and get ricta clouds 78a for soft wheel.

Soft wheels are mainly for beginners (like me) so they can get used to skateboarding and then switch to hard wheel. Once you get the hang of it and start preforming tricks on a skateboard
