I actually liked this more once I figured out how it was done. *SO* clean and smooth. Not "hard" or flashy sleight of hand, but nevertheless a masterful card trick. One of the purest magic tricks I've seen. I was 100% fooled in the same way Penn and Teller were the first time I saw it. Anybody who has done magic has used this method for something and yet two of the greatest magicians of all time still didn't pick it up a couple of feet from their eyeballs.
Thank you so much
Thank you so much
Wow thats clever. Here is the "coded" solution: Some of those names were upside down. Here is the uncoded explanation: He flipped the deck over at 4:10 the deck has some cards facing the wrong way on the bottom side. The bottom card has his name on it. It is irrelevant what words they choose.
Mister, that was smooth!
Thank you
So smart. My first guess was the same as theirs. It's not fair that we can guess a second time. But I hope I'm wrong again because he was very good and deserves to keep his secret.
Thank you
Wonderful, but the real icing on the cake is still seeing Alyson in 2024 - no magician can beat that!
Superb......I liked it
Thank you
I love how the simpler things fool Penn & Teller, by just adding an extra element, and they over guess, and get stuck on one piece. Like the Asi Wind card trick, which had him tear up a paper carousel, and the actual trick was 3 other decks in a wooden box that was taken of stage. At least according to irehman7. Or the Ring (with additional prop;) by Garrett Thomas.
You had me convinced a giant penny was rubbery and then made it dissappear by I think just putting it on top of your head 😂 like 30 years ago in your basement. As a kid I knew you were an awesome magician, this is incredible and not surprising to me in the least. I am late but congrats to you good sir.
Wow. Thank you so much
"This is not a card trick." It was... Only after I rewatched frame by frame. This was brilliantly disguised and I knew what I was looking for and still struggled to pick it.
Thank you
Nothing delights me more than seeing P&T fooled when I am not. Nice work.
Thank you
I dont believe half of these ppl ATLEAST.... They lie straight thru their teeth when theyre caught and didnt fool them.... They just dont wanna leave empty handed.... So oathetic, they lie and you know most of them do
The producers know the trick, if the magicians lie it wouldn’t work.
Teller wiggling his foot realizing he missed the sleight of hand on the cards cracks me up. such a great and simple trick with excellent stage presence, loved the entire routine!
Thank you.
Pavlov was cruel. Nobody wants to admit it, but wait until you find out the exact experiment they conducted.
Very clever (and creative and powerful) to do the trick in such a way that they didn’t know what to look for. It’s more difficult to try to recreate after the fact. A lot of times magicians make known what they’re doing, but here it was “ What’s going to happen?”
Thank you
OMG that is so clever! Congratulations on a well-deserved trophy. Brilliant move! 🙂
I know leaving a comment helps you in the algorithm, but that's all you're getting from me. I paused on the first second to deny you a view & gave you a nice thumbs down, just for spoiling the results in your title/thumbnail, and now I'm going to block your channel so I don't need to worry about it again.
NOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!! CHRISTMAS IS RUINED
@@davidcorsaro 🤣
omg it's so funny when you see it
This trick was absolute genius to perform on Fool Us.
Thank you
This is mind blowing. A simple flip of the deck. He took a big shot chance thinking they wouldn’t notice. And they did not. I am kind of disappointed in Penn and Teller
Penn : We were burning you and yet you managed to flip the script on us. Congratulations.
What an absolutely stunningly simple trick that was only apparent because it was caught on film.
Thank you
The funniest part of it is I think Allison saw the move that Penn and Teller missed as they were looking for a push or number game. lol
When? And what move? People say it’s at 4:09 but I don’t see anything?
@@gundam116It was when he is scooping up the cards. You can see him flip the deck when he sets it on the table. Genius move and too many moving pieces with all the mental math going on. Excellent showmanship.
Allison was going to break the bell from excitement ❤
Wow I'm amazed, that's really the proof that you don't need to have insane techniques to pull off a stunning magic trick, literally a child could do it but it leaves you speechless anyway thanks to your great delivery! Great job there
Thank you
Wow, just wow... how did the boys miss this one?? Even tho the televised image changed to another camera at an inopportune time( for the viewers), i'm still shocked this wasn't obvious to anyone who could see it the whole way thru
Because the misdirection was designed to fool the people at the table, not the camera. And it worked
This performance is definitely on my top 10! Simply amazing! 👏👏👏👏
Thank you so much
Wonderful but the easiest trick ever!
Lol dont know how they got fooled, this was the easiest card trick I've seen
Because this was designed to misdirect the people live. Not those watching on TV. And it worked
Briliant. And the fact that you literally explained the trick before they went down the wrong path. Superb.
@@austinalbertdsouza thank you
Every time the dog drooled, Pavlov would ring the bell.
I still cant see it
t1d hereee!!!
The great thing about this trick is that it makes you think it's about word length. Your timing was perfect! When Penn started talking about the number of letters etc., you had that "Aweee you got me" look, Lol!. Great Job!
Thank you very much
Nicely done
Allison speaking in codes??😂😂😂
Man I'm a T1D. I feel for you man and I'm glad your son is doing well. I always get choked up when I see someone working to spread awareness and support the cause.
Thank you and take care of yourself
so smooth and simple it's genius. Had to rewatch it about 5 times to notice the catch. Great trick!
Thank you very much
the sheer confidence of this man
Good thing or bad thing?
Same. I’m no sharp but even I caught that in real time. I was waiting for the actual trick and then everyone walked away. How did that get missed?
Because the misdirection is intended to be live. I was not trying to fool the camera but the 3 people with me
@@davidcorsaro I know. It was great!
Think the foolers ever lie?
You can’t. The producers know how your trick is done to make sure you do not lie
@@davidcorsaro are you sure? I’m sure the foolers are willing to have their tricks somewhat exposed by pen and teller, but you can tell that pen and teller try to keep as much of what they caught a secret.
@@Fa1her_n_2on_gamers of course I am sure. This video is me. I met with the producers many times about the method
@@davidcorsaro oh no way, well that’s cool. Nice to meet you. Sorry to imply that you might have been lying. The look on your face at the end had me skeptical.
Obviously I wasn’t paying attention to the name of who I was talking too lol
You sure fooled me… I didn’t even know what he was doing… But I guess it was magic and it made me feel good. How did it go?
There’s no way the secret is just he quickly flipped over the deck with the misdirection of all the names of the people on the cards. That is so sneaky and therefore the number of letters in the peoples names throws them off cleverly. Teller was sitting right there too. Lol well done congrats man! 😂 🏆
Thank you
Buldozered through 'em.
There is something amazing about methods that most magicians would skip over. A lot of times both magicians and laypeople forget that you don’t need to create a new sleight of “move planets” to fool people. Props to Corsaro for creating an effect that uses good presentation over prestidigitation to fool people. That’s the sign of a good marketer!
Thank you so much
Not being a magician myself but am very analytical, I was thinking the exact same thing that Penn said. We were both wrong, lol.
This is so simple it's almost ridiculous. Really shows your marketing chops to be able to sell something this basic so well as to (*ding*) fool them. And you even explain it right there and then. This is some wonderfully meta stuff, well done.
Sometimes the best steak is simple and just cooked right. thanks
This is probably the simplest trick that’s ever fooled Penn & Teller. Very “natural” and “justified” way to deck flip. I wonder if there’s more than 3 cards face up on the bottom. Either way, time misdirection and justified & natural motions combined are “powerful.” This magician wasn’t “fooled,” but was “impressed” and “inspired.” I hope to be on that stage someday…
Thank you
@@davidcorsaro I’m just being honest my friend! Having them burning your hands and not seeing that was genius, and a masterclass in misdirection and performing the dirty work openly like that. I’m not a Shin Lim style magician myself anyways where I spend 5 days creating black art, magnet cards, one way force decks with a servant at our end of the table, a plastic case made to look like a deck but has an e-cig, etc, etc. He’s GREAT, just not my style. I’m a closeup magician who loves the classics, but has spent 20 years consulting for bigger names and performing private shows here in Austin. I rarely use gimmicks (except a duplicate on rare occasions to open with something quick & powerful like my version of French Kiss + blank facers). Point being - I’m more motivated than ever to get on that stage and get a trophy 🏆 like you and my good friend Marcus Eddie. We went to high school together! How cool would it be if two magicians from the same HS fooled P&T?! Thx again for the inspiration!
Awesome! May the magic STAY with you!
might've fooled them but this trick is rather weak to be honest
Wow. 2 comments. Thank you
very simple trick by misdirection.
Great work! I hope you had as much fun as I had, doing the show! :-)
