50.7% WR in RTA and going down. Limited usage in siege, and no usage in PVE. I probably wouldn't care as much about the nerf if he wasn't fusion, and the atb limiting nerf seemed fair. Combining it with the S1 nerf is harsh. It sucks when a monster accessible to everyone is performing "a tiny bit above average" and then gets nerfed. Also - we have this same literally exact issue on every single patch. The main draft formats in RTA are as follows (note I'll include cleaves, snipes, and etc. as "CC" here for simplicity) * CC vs. Counter/CC (including cleaves and snipes her for simplicity) * CC vs. Bruiser/Anti-CC * Bruiser vs. Bruiser CC is generally more prevalent, and CC units are played at higher rates, with CC vs. Counter CC being by far the most common draft in most of conqueror and punisher ranks. Even so, at least 1/3rd of drafts will be some form of bruiser. Bruiser drafts need supports, by their nature. Sometimes those supports are the bruisers themselves (Abellio in current meta; feng, vigor, etc., to name mons from prior metas); sometimes they are self-sustain units (mei hou wang, etc.); and sometimes they are direct supports (fran; riley; woosa; racuni). What do the 4 mons at the end of that last paragraph have in common? At various points over the prior few metas, each was the most commonly drafted support. None has ever cracked a 50% WR in RTA as far as I know, but outraged calls for their nerf occurred with every BP at the time those unit(s) were being picked most frequently. Supports have higher play rates, because there's fewer strong support than there are strong CC mons, or even damage dealers or bruisers. At any given time there's likely fewer than 10 supports with any viability, especially if you exclude LDs, so whichever support works best in the current meta will rise to the top. But just because a unit is picked frequently doesn't automatically mean it needs to be nerfed. Context is necessary. If it's picked frequently because it's ALSO broken (Oliver), then yeah it needs a nerf. But if it's picked frequently as the best of a suite of poor or moderate options, then the actual need is to buff more units into equal viability to create diversity within drafts. As examples of the latter: Masha is 50.11% WR but drafted in 20% of drafts, because she serves a role that almost no other mon (only MHW, sorta) can serve in many drafts. If more mons could serve in the type of counter/damage/self-protect role of Masha, she would be drafted less. She doesn't need a nerf herself when she's at exactly a 50% WR. Another example: Vanessa has a 49.03% win rate despite being the 4th most-played mon (32.11% of logged drafts). She's spammed because Oliver (49.85% WR) is a stronger unit, and they are the only 2 non-LD speed leads. Here you can create more diversity if both are changed to 24 leads, while leaving 33 leads to LD5s (I have none btw). If that becomes imbalanced, just eliminate all 33 leads, or add more of them (adding more would be more popular, but I'd argue would be harmful to overall balance). If both were nerfed to 24 leads, then I'd give Oliver a small damage buff or better awaken, something minor so that he retains his 50% WR, and give Vanessa a larger but not too-large buff (element king? so she can def break water consistently and be a bit easier to rune), to balance out the change to their lead skills. TLDR: just because 1 support is deemed the best in the current meta, doesn't mean it needs to be nuked. Gapsoo's attack bar limiting nerf was fair considering his 50.7% WR, but a double nerf on a f2p support unit is overkill.

So, you aren’t in a tourney guild I’m guessing? We see him up here in siege defense. That’s how you know things are broken. I won’t tip the team since it’s getting wins on defense. And 50.7% is going down because people are picking it to prevent playing against it. It’s just like Haegang, people pick it so they don’t have to fight it and they don’t know how to use it so the win rate drops. Gapsoo 100% needed a nerf and while this helps it may not be enough. Pure damage is insane

Smicer may be annoying to face, but she has multiple direct counters and a 48.59% WR in RTA. She's actually almost in buff territory tbh. One of those mons that gets played out of desperation quite frequently, but she's destroyed by Vero, Juno, Tetra, and by just not taking turns against cc teams. I disagreed with some things in this patch (the tesa nerf is F'ING STUPID!!!!) and I'm highly disappointed by the lack of siege defense units being added. Also in retrospect, the Windy nerf is not going to be that impactful, I was just overly optimistic in the heat of the moment. Even so, I've definitely seen worse patches. I'm not "happy" with this patch, but realistically, RTA was already in a fairly balanced spot, and them making major changes risked that, so I don't blame them for the direction they went here. I just wish they'd stop buffing siege offense units and nerfing siege defense units, they're killing (if they haven't already killed) siege with each patch.

Still pissing me off... and will for weeks I suspect. They may as well just code siege out of the game instead of killing it inch by inch.

@@XennialGamer On a separate note, I'd like to see the garuda and hellhounds 2nd awakened. It's been a while since they've released one and it feels overdue.

Yeah didn't have time to do a full edited video. So I just did it mostly 1-take, only a couple of small edits.

Honestly don't think much changes for him. He can strip Kinki or Akroma now I guess :p Maybe a bit stronger into Eleanor? But that's all pretty niche. The 10% recovery is interesting, but his base speed limits him too much in most places.

Cadiz can be used in a lot of PVE content, but will not always be the best unit. And I would not use him in Punishers. Lucifer - same statement. The two together is probably pretty powerful, but would not use either in Punishers. I don't know of a team offhand that specifically uses both for any PVE content, and Cadiz may not be the best in giants either. But I'm sure that if speed of team isn't an issue, you could probably get most PVE content done with 10-15 mons by using those two.

Ouuuuch I wrote a long reply and then misclicked cancel. Stupid YT. So the basic settings apply to all slots. I don't have expanded filters for slots 1/3/5 - that's really what the basic settings are for. It's not legends only, but it's close: hero with innate and 6 spd, or 3x offensive stats in select sets pretty much. Those are my end-game settings, and if your acct is less advanced, I'd strongly advise using lower thresholds, starting with removing the innate requirement and dropping speed to 4 or 5. The extra settings for slots 2/4/6 are because those slots are rarer and harder to get, so it lowers their requirements basically :)

So u bassicly look for a max 6 and 2 other max stats (8 Atk+6 crit rate for example?)

Wound up with 50 (even) nat5 pulls. 30 new, and 3 kept dupes. Plus his first ever LD5, and about a dozen new LD4s, including his 3 most wanted.

Which 30k? If this was recorded before they reset scores, I actually did a stream where I took rank 1 on all rift beasts, that was using a mixture of cooldown resets so I had a constant S3 up on core nukers basically.

I close the one that asks if I want to use a reapp - I don't close the one that asks me to confirm the reapp :p It's intentional actually. If I accidentally click on the wrong side and notice, it gives me a split second to like yank the mouse away or whatever before muscle memory clicks away the popup warning lol.

Interestingly - because this video was so long, I had to a cut a lot of stuff. One of the things I "cut" was a bit of discussion on what macro is, how much more work it is, and that the actual duration for towers should be determined by macros in general. I'm curious what you mean by "work" for special towers. There's been a couple of comments about that, and I feel like perhaps I just expressed a concept poorly, as I am not following why it would be more work. The idea is that there would be a whole bunch of special tower options to choose from. No limit to how many times you can use 1 or more. So when placing special towers, you choose 1 from the list and place defenses. It would allow you to place defenses into multiple variations of special towers and etc. so the same difference provides different looks and etc. But other than clicking 1 button to choose from the list of special towers, it doesn't seem like it adds any work?

@@XennialGamer by work i mean time to put into theorycrafting, not setting it up during siege. i just feel that such a system would make the gap between top10 or maybe top20 guilds and the rest of g3 even larger then it already is. and at least in europe theres quite a gap between those. having special towers like leader skill applied gives you so much opportunity to craft unique defs for just that tower - which is awesome for the top10/20 guilds, and i'd personally love that feature too, don't get me wrong. but i'm not sure which effect it would have on siege below that rank. on a second thought, we'd probably just take a couple months to develop a meta which everybody uses and everything we achieved is a couple more usable units and a more complicated game mode. can't we achieve the same by nerfing some of the free-win offense units? remove no-defbreak passives, nerf cami, give molly/manon self glance/block back and i think winrates would be in a healthy state again.

I'm always trying to be an optimist... I do find it hard to dispute this unfortunately. I really hope we get a rework on siege sometime soon. In the meantime, it would be nice if we could get people to tryhard more in ISGW. It's a really fun content and offers a different kind of challenge, but just not enough guilds want to engage :/
