I can't afford the gym or equipment. I've been doing calisthenics for a couple of months now. I live in a very small town, so I'm alone. I haven't found anyone to join me. I keep going. I cried through a couple of routines, but I keep going. I'm fighting an autoimmune disorder and mental disorder. I want to overcome them. Your videos are very helpful when I'm feeling down.

Sucking the stomach in is so real bro💀 used to do it throughout highschool. It got to the point of sucking the stomach in every day which is bad. 👺 Anyway as long as we have a balance of natural carbohydrates, enough protein and healthy fats the energy level will sustain you for the next day even when you have a bad sleeping schedule 👨‍🦽

Yep we can watch improvement or motivation video but cant rely on it. All it gives us is temporary dopamine high and we will just go back to our old self a few days later. Changes start from within. We should not rush for the result, its about learning the process to get the result. Like working out, some people change physically but its not consistent and they will go back to their previous habits and gain weight. Instead we should change mentally first. No matter how slow or how many times we fail, it gets built up as wisdom if we truly learn it. No matter how insignificant the progress is, consistency always grow it to be bigger. Instead of relying to dopamine like a drug its better to create a sustainable lifestyle. Like would you rather have Compound V or Temp V? 🦸‍♂️

  • @JapaneseFriedRice

How old were you when making this videos bro? True tho. We need some actual quiet time to think about our life. Whenever we feel like we failed or our "mindset" comes crashing down again. We need to find a wooden chair, close our eyes and imagine every dark times we have been through. Every version of our past selves sitting alone, feeling sad, at a dark time, feeling regret or made mistakes yada yada. The point is we should reach out our hand to pat them or comfort them so we can remind ourselves that it's all going to be alright, 'just another dark time' and should be genuinely proud of ourselves no matter if the outcome was good or bad at least we tried our best. Like how we would look up to our future self and wonder if we did good. I am sure they would reach their hand out to the current us and say "keep going even if you fail, it's going to be alright". We are our own hope.

  • @JapaneseFriedRice

This is my full week 2 progress: 30 mins cardio walk, warm ups/stretch, calorie deficit of 1k-1.3k, basic calisthenics exercise, lymphatic drainage, sufficient protein intake and rest every alternate day consistently. My body weight dropped from 95kg to 90kg. I start to feel and look leaner without loosing my muscle growth. Which is crazy I always had been skinny fat appearance since primary years. My strength and endurance definitely increased, especially my pull and grip strength. On week 1 I could barely hang myself on the door frame and do alternate pull up exercises without chair assist however on week 2 I didn't need to rely on the chair and my form improved. My arms, chest and back muscle sensitivity also increased I can feel them a little better to improve my form more. I am starting to like this lifestyle because I understand it except for the sleeping part.. Maybe I should be batman 🦇👱? Consistently waking up at 6pm instead of am lmao.

Glad I am over this stage.. I am pretty sure most of us that reach the age of 18 will start to grow tired of video games and gradually spend less time on it. Sure, there may be a new game that we might binge but just a temporary short period without hindering our lifestyle.

I try to see it as perfection competition with myself and it is a playground, sandbox where I want to build all day long better and bigger sand castles which can withstand the heaviest storms. Right now broken hand root from riding fixed gear to my calisthenics go to place and slipping in a corner. But as you, I try not to get too upset about it, I build it once, I can do it a second time better with all the experience

I also decided to just workout 1 day and rest the next day, repeating this consistently. Each day I will still be doing 30mins cardio. Yes. That change of spirit and identity is the hardest one. especially considering, working against self applied sunken-cost-fallacy. so many people can imagine traveling back in time, how changing one single thing in the timeline, can have significant changes, but lacking that same confidence/vision when looking forward. currently i am (still) working to unlock the handstand. started my journey like 3 years ago. still can't do it, but my goals and trainingmethos shifted and changed overtime. gaining strength is not my problem, but i lack so much mobility still... But 95% down to front splits each side, and like 80% on the way down to side split. also did include some ricebucket workouts into my warmup before doing push/pullups :-) it feels just awesome. i did turn 40 two weeks ago, but the presence and flexibillity and strength in my body... like wtf, i never felt that young and healthy! comment, like and sub!

100% agree. Unless you have super hero muscles tendons regeneration (which no one has) workout the same muscle groups every day is a dangerous business. When swimmers (athletes) are young, they can get away with swimming several hours a day every day. Which is why most top swimmers peak in their early 20s. But time catches them, and they won't be able to train as much without injuries in their late 20s.
