Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Prince featured the “Upper Room with Joe Kelley and Gi Dussault” on his official website www.npgmusicclub.com. This is the first radio show to have ever received that honor. “Joe Kelley Radio” has been on the radio since 1982. Joe Kelley and Gi Dussault co-host the show and are well-respected in the music business as creative air personalities and supporters of independent musicians .
The show features creative music in funk, R&B, jazz, blues, rock, hip-hop, latin, and gospel. In addition, Joe Kelley has interviewed renowned musicians such as Victor Wooten, Sheila E. , Foley, Mavis Staples, Jef Lee Johnson, Jellybean Johnson, Monte Moir, Rhonda Smith, Bernie Worrell, Cyndi Lauper, Michael Bland, Larry Graham, Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth, Steve Smith, St. Paul Peterson, JD Blair, Tori Ruffin, Kat Dyson, Eric Person, actor Jeff Daniels, Junior Giscombe, John Scofield, EC Scott, John Blackwell, Mystic Bowie, and many others.

LARRY KIRWAN of Black 47 and Celtic Crush
Larry Kirwan (born 1948 in Wexford, Ireland) is an expatriate Irish writer and musician, most noted as the lead singer for the New York based Irish rock band, Black 47.
Prior to Black 47, Kirwan and fellow Wexfordian Pierce Turner led the new wave band Major Thinkers, based in New York City.
Kirwan has also written and produced several plays which have been performed in the United States and Europe, most of which deal with Irish history and politics, particularly Northern Ireland. He has made statements in support of the Irish Republican Army.
Since April 2005, he has hosted "Celtic Crush," a radio show on Sirius Satellite Radio that features Celtic artists from a wide variety of genres.

Anything Prince did musically, I adored. But the album titled Prince was on repeat at my house 24/7. ‘It’s Gonna Be Lonely’ was it for me and my 2 year old in 79. Those vocals were everything.

Did you see you guys already told him yourself you’re trying to sample a genius that’s what makes you guys look like you’re losers. Don’t ever try to sample something that a genius does. He’s already worked out the way to never be sampled. He was who he was for a reason, we loved him for the reason that we loved him because our ears hurt more than what we knew Was Prince was more than just a genius. He was a genius he was in the Z‘s because he was past the gees and genius so you would call him a Zenius.

Bernie Worrell was awesome, such an innovator, and he used to play with the Talking Heads as well as many other artists. His solo stuff is great too. So much more influential than most people know.
William, you speak the truth. Bernie was a true genius and friend. He appeared on my show five or six times. The first time he came up from New Jersey to our studios with all his keyboards for an interview/concert. I arranged to have Chris Frantz, Tina Weymouth and Mystic Bowie (Tom Tom Club, Talking Heads) to come to the studio and surprise Bernie. I have the show somewhere in my archives and will digitize it for here.

I think we grew up hearing our parents records and so many great records on the radio. Lots of those artists were 20 or 30 years younger than us but we still knew who they were. Not as common today.
@@musiciansreveal Dame Dash is same age as me, not all however alot of these rappers etc.. are musically ignorant on our past, young jeezy back in 07 didn't know who earth wind and fire were. Black greats from the past aren't taught. I kid you not. I was a young boy in the late 70s and I knew who Duke Ellington was.50 years prior to me. We use to go back. Not knowing eddie kendricks is embarrassing and Damon dash talks too much trash

@musiciansreveal it adds to the complexity of the individual for me. Alot of big celebrities seem less eager for success and more scared of failure. Which is something the whole reason they push themselves so hard.
Dr could do more than the others. Still, there are dozens of video and a audio recordings of Prince giving extensive instructions during rehearsals.
