I Was Sold Till The Backup Carmera Issue
What backup camera issue? Sorry to he unclear. The factory installed Chrysler camera doesnt work. It's a known Mopar issue. I've had the same thing on my Durango, and occasionally on my 1500, Chrysler uses crappy cameras that have to be replaced. I have a streaming review mirror, my review is an "always on review feed" instead of a mirror. It has its own camera system, so when it came time to install the Tesla screen, I simply didn't plug the stock camera feed into it, because I didn't need it, and I have a preferable alternative to fixing Chryslers crappy cameras. The issue has no relation to the screen, I could plug my mirror into the screen, and it would display on the screen, but then I'd loose the feed to my mirror, where I'd rather have it, more natural to my preferences.
Got one in my 300 SRT , definitely a huge upgrade 👌

Yes, there is literally a setting called Loud. You'll have to toggle that on. Also while your at it there's two separate control areas for sound, in both the system manager, as well as the app, I would definitely tweak all of your settings in both those locations to restore proper sound stage to before. Out of the box, the sound settings are pretty 🗑 I also have a shirt breakdown of it in my install video as well.

@@mistaj27 Yes it's because there products are honestly a coin flip just like any product but moreso theirs because Quality Control is non-existent over there. Include the fact that it is close to a thousand dollar purchase and you've got a bad day if it breaks which it sadly did.

What app did you use to edit the background out?
Procreate on the iPad. Any photo drawing/photo editing app should do. Even a newer updated phone, press and hold on the object and it will separate it from the background.

Nice one bro... hey question, i know the older one you had to cut out the lower section behind the climate controls... and this newer one you dont have to... but i saw the install vid from Phoenix and they mention still having to cut off 4 tabs that stick out.. 2 in the upper section (behind oem screen) and 2 in lower (behind the climate controls)... did you have to do that?... im bout to install on a 2018.. but i know urs is a 13 or sum right??
Yes I have a 2013, and I believe that that little nuance was for 2015 and up models that had to cut the tabs. I did not have to cut, direct fit.

When the 300 was redesigned for the 2005 model year, I fell in Love... It had a sporty look with a touch of class as well... I'm currently on my 3rd 300. About 13 years ago I had a Silver 07" Touring 3.5L V6, it was a decent car, and I had a "300" so it was cool... I had that car for a couple years, then I upgraded to a Dark Titanium Metallic 09' 300 Limited, it also had the 3.5L V6, however, it had more bells and whistles, well... life happened, and unfortunately a couple years later I had to get rid of that car too. Over the years since, I had missed that 09' so much that I recently took a chance and started looking around to see if there were any good deals available on an 09' with low miles. I stumbled across another Dark Titanium Metallic 09', (I really like that color) this one however, was a 1 owner, 300C Heritage Edition 5.7L MDS VCT Hemi, only 52,995 on the odometer, the engine code is EZH which gives it 375hp, and being the H E it came with 20" wheels and the Charger R/T suspension. I flew from Detroit to Chicago at the end of May, bought it, and drove it home. What a beautiful car it is. There is just something about the 09' that really draws me in. I retired in December of 23', so this is a gift to myself, and I won't be getting rid of this one. There were only 1164 H E's built in 09' so it's definitely a keeper for sure. The Heritage Edition 300's pay Homage to the 1957 300C which was the 1st 300 to wear the "300C" badge, the previous 2 years were a "Chrysler New Yorker 300"... So far, because I didn't care for the wheels the previous owner had on her, I bought some Voxx 20"x9" Hellcat replica wheels, gloss black, dressed them in Pirelli P7 A/S Plus3 70K mile tires, what a smooth ride they give, I've added an oil catch can, I installed a Jet Powr-Flo throttle body spacer, I'm waiting for the MOPAR CAI to arrive today, I ordered 2 Magnaflow 11236 mufflers (coming Wednesday) to replace the "suitcase" and I'm keeping the rear resonators. I'm just looking to give her a little rumble, it's stock and pretty quiet right now. It's so nice to be back with the 300 Family/Gang whichever you prefer... Ride on...
Sounds like a beautiful car! I had an 06 before this 2013, would love to pick up that body style again, love it, just hits different, always said I loved my 06 different then I do my 13. Been keeping my eyes peeled for a SRT8 in the 05-10 yrs. If I find one at a good price I might not be able to resist, own both body styles is a low key dream/goal.
@@mistaj27 That's Awesome!!! On a side note, I found this out after I bought my current 09' doing research on them. The 09' has the least amount of reported service calls of all the 300's produced between 05'-10'. If that might help sway your thinking. Good luck with your search Sir. I have a 15 S (5.7). It has buttons for lane departure, collision avoidance, and parking sensors. Are these options still in the menu? I only turned off lane departure btw
It retains all factory functions. The six buttons are able to be configured to whatever you want. When you order they will ask you what you want assigned to the buttons.

I believe Gmail is preinstalled, but you will have to be connected to the internet in some fashion to receive email. Mirroring will not work, that just shows you what's on your phone. You will also need to get a file manager app.

Which one did you go with? Did you get the 4GB RAM model? Or higher 6G, 12G? RAM is the most direct influence to how responsive your unit will run. If you have the 4GB option, sorry to say, there's likely not a whole lot to be done about it. Lagging after you close your backgrounds sounds backwards tho, if anything, that should help, I have the 6GRAM, but I still don't run anything in the background for that exact purpose. I have no issues with lag. Check for a system update, Android definitely bogs down when it's running older versions of the OS, as well, if you notice it's certain apps that you have open when it lags, check those apps in the play store, see if they have updates pending, that will slow down those apps as well.
I have the same unit but the reverse camera quality has went down severely any fix that you know?
I have a digital streaming mirror, I use that. My reverse cam on the car went bad a while back and I never bothered to fix it. It needs a new camera. My guess, would be that it's a camera issue, what do you mean by bad quality? Like, is the image blurry? The lines not moving? Stuttering? If it's stuttering or the guidelines aren't working properly, that sounds like it could be the screen, I don't know a fix other then to pull it back out and make sure wiring is still in check. I did have a harness come loose after install, and I had to reconnect it. If it's blurry image, blinking, static, or black, that sounds like a camera issue and the camera will need to be replaced.

How do you get the usb to work for so you can use your phone internet..?
Internet does not run via usb. Either Ethernet, or Thunderbolt. Either connect your phone to the screen via Bluetooth, so the screen is running off your phone, or turn on WiFi sharing from your phone and connect in your wifi settings on the screen. I use WiFi sharing.

That is all of XBox, no restrictions on one, x, 360. Everything. For Playstation I suppose you can use remote play, last I tried, the service was hardly useable.

I've got the stock 245s on the fronts, no changes, rears are 275s, all Nittos. No muffs, straight piped 5.7.
