Civil Nirman provides structure design trainings to all fresher civil engineering students who are interested to opt in structure design /Construction field. Before starting anything one should have some experience in that chosen field. Passing Engineering and being an Engineer is different and hence in spite of basics, being taught application of the same has to be learned by being trainee with an experienced person. So Civil Nirman is here to upgrade your skills and fundamental knowledge in Structure design field by Industrial professionals. Our online training sessions are developed by industrial experts who are the gems in their respective field. So here you will get technical content with design fundamentals and codal provisions and not just software commands to operate, learn technical aspects to practice in design fields. Learn “Conceptual Design” with the “Art of Detailing”.
Temperature Load in Staad -Manual vs. STAAD VerificationlHow to Calculate Temperature load in Staad
📏 **Temperature Load Analysis on a Fixed-Fixed Beam: Manual Calculation vs. STAAD Verification!** 🌡️
Welcome back to our channel! In this video, we're tackling a classic engineering challenge: understanding how temperature changes can cause significant reactions and moments in a fixed-fixed beam. 🔍
We'll start by manually calculating the horizontal reactions and moment reactions caused by thermal expansion in two different cases:
1. **Case 1:** A uniform temperature of **45°F** across the entire beam.
2. **Case 2:** A temperature gradient with **0°F** below the beam and **48°F** above the beam.

@@binayaksamanta863 Just For Your Information As per Section 3.8 Table 3, the slenderness ratio (KL/r) of compression members shall not exceed 180, and the slenderness ratio (L/r) of tension members shall not exceed 400. Why it did come out a positive and negative moments at the ends of beam 121 and only negative at the midpoint? What causes this negative and positive moment values at its ends? Thanks in advance for the reply.
dear its an envelop so that's why it is showing worst values at all location based on envelop, whether its top bottom or mid.
@@CIVILNIRMAN Thanks again for the reply. Therefore, I could say that envelope in STAAD is choosing the critical combination of loads that will give severe effects?
@@gnidnoeled786 It is nothing but a super imposition of the force diagrams of each load combination, which simplifies your understanding of the maximum values. Basically you get the entire forces of each combination in a single place.

Good video & explanation. Is there video which shows modelling & application of loads in any analysis software.
Please make videos on AISC Code
For which details you want?
@@CIVILNIRMAN Please make videos on shortcut methods of design, like the thumb rules to check the design for simplifying equations. Sometimes, we dont have enough time to design manually the whole structures and because we have a lot of structures to be design in a consulting firm in a short span of time so we mostly trust software results because if we come to check every single beam and column then it will take a lot of time. So, I think there have been some shortcut formulas and tricks whom we check the design. Like the stress formula Strength = My/I to check stresses in foundation. Or there might be some quick methods to design short structures manualy rather than on software. using Aisc code
NICE VIDEO SIR ,CAN I LEARN WHOLE PROJECT IN DETAIL
When you jump into the field, each project has different challenges and lesson learnings, But yes we prepare you for the best of best till date whatever we have learnt Connect with Us for your further queries on : +918320501602
Actually learn almost all software and in the end you will realise all of them will have their limitations.....from what I have observed staad is just fucked up beyond imagination and we have to learn that because many projects will ask for design notes and at that time staad software works good....but modeling is worst many things needs to be assumed n given lengths and coordinates will vary by its own....we can't design perfect slab...no annotations of label n much more.... ETABS is perfectly good but we can't get perfect analysis for beams and shells with inclinations more than 45....steel structure n sections needs improvement.... according to insertion points in column beams must have automatic end length offsets..... Robot structure is good enough for structures in USA or people who have profound knowledge about Indian codes and how to manipulate other codes to get results according to is code because IS codes aren't updated in that.....in the end no software is good or actually worth buying.....clear basics of FEM structure design n other aspects of mathematics n you will realise what to use and when to use...... People will talk about external things about a software but to know correctly try modeling analysis and designing many structures in many softwares n you will know when to use what......
Thanks for your feedback and experience on other software 🤗, you can Share your learning experience with other software so it will help lot of other engineers too
Can you make a video series on design of equipment foundation?
Super soon already working on that 💫✨
@@CIVILNIRMAN Sounds Great!
Correct me if I am wrong, The reason for using batterned columns instead of laced columns might be for utility and maintenace purpose since laced columns will provide less working space between columns
Thanks for your observation,We will wait for a few more days to receive other observations than I'll post the other observations...till then keep figuring out 😁
