My dad worked here up until the closure. Just got back from a visit to the National Coal Mining Museum in Yorkshire. Recommended.

Excellent film, was this an NCB film unit production? Where did you get it? I worked at Parkside for a few months in 1992 as a contractor just befor it closed. Completely changed carreer & I am in the planning stages of making a doco on ex miners in the Wigan & Noth West region
