Unfortunately this is an old video and the Studio line has been discontinued. Do wish I had gotten a bunch before that happened. Especially want Copper Beech.

I have unfortunately ran into a batch of pastelmat that has multiple lines running through it an inch wide and only were found once the picture had begun. Extremely frustrating for a beginner when a picture is coming along so good then cannot be fixed.
Been doing portraits for 40 years and I never ever use black in a skin tone
You are a VERY hardworking person. I think you have made a lot of that “luck” yourself. So glad there is you!
Apart from the huge expense, I find the PastelMat too rough. It ate my pencils and detail was difficult, so it is back to the drawingboard, literally, with me trying out different paper until I find something I can work with.

Beautiful. I have a question. I just bought prisoner pencils and erasers and blenders to try and start pencil drawings. I tried to erase something and the erasers I bought won’t erase the color pencil marks. What am I doing wrong? Seems like a silly question.
It could be down to how much pressure you have used with your pencils. I like to work in lots of light layers and the surface you're drawing on can affect it as well 🥰

Absolutely beautiful. I am new to sewing with pencil. Is there certain paper that is easier to draw on? How do you know what paper to choose? Also how do you get the white pencil to show up over the dark pencil?
