Family Guy Pilot: Larry and Steve

Can you spot the similarities between this and the actual show? Larry and Steve belong to Cartoon Network.

Cartoon Network took my other profile down.
.... And they wonder why we all have attention deficiencies.
Steve looks like Gromit. That may be why his look was changed when he became Brian.
This looks more like a kids cartoon than the other version
That’s probably why it changed but oh well
what quag doin
This is one of the worst cartoons I've ever watched. I don't like it. I dislike Seth McFarlane's stuff as much as I dislike South Park.
5:22 this is probably my favourite joke
.
I wonder what he said 😂 3:49
Love this scene 2:50
Taken From Harriet The Spy 1996 VHS
Wtf did he draw courage the cowardly dog too? Those old people were very similar
This is a prequel set before The life of Larry?
Prototype of Brian and Peter
Amazing, and I haven't forgotten. So "Family Guy" is indirectly Hanna-Barbera. No wonder it feels more polished than "The Simpsons." XD
Episode becomes a tad darker once u realised the plane part was a real thing, it was about the aeroflot flight 593 where a stupid ass father let his kids take plane control for a second and they all die after.
Making Star Wars references since day one.
Forget Family Guy! This is what should've spawned it's own series!

Funny how some of these jokes went right over our heads as kids. For example: When the pilot tells the kid to take over the plane so he can "take a wee nib of the creature" lol. He is talking about getting drunk. As a child it didnt register to me what he was talking about
Wow. I just assumed that he was checking up on the passengers. Nice to know the idiom.
@@diddyphukkingkong393 yea I thought he needed to number one. Do you know what's a great show that does this a lot? Rockos modern life. That show seems designed with that in mind. A lot of the show doesn't make sense until you are older.
@@arielperez797 Yeah. I know. Nothing new. I'm completely aware that Rocko's Modern Life had innuendos for over 10 years. The original Animaniacs is actually way better though, way more subtle. "Finger prince." The show also created a generation of furries. CollegeHumor informed me that Rocko had dirty jokes back in 2013/2014. I read about how Nick banned _Leap Frogs_ which was very sexual and later deleted scenes from _The Good, the Bad, and the Wallaby_ and _Road Rash._ Yeah, I know all that shit. On my USB drive, I currently own an uncut episode of _The Good, the Bad, and the Wallaby_ in pristine HD quality. I still cannot get over the Heffer milk scene. Nickelodeon later removed it in the 2000s. In 2022, I downloaded the uncut episode from my Nick+ Prime Video subscription. In Canada, TV channels including Prime Video still showed the uncut version, but since Paramount+ bought streaming rights in Canada in 2023, the censored version of the episode has been used. Nickelodeon is allegedly full of pedophiles, so I wouldn't be surprised if they approved of so many dirty jokes. I'm not surprised if my parents forbade me from watching TV.
Steve is augie doggy all grown up
This ain't family guy this is Garfield at home
I can't believe this is what family guy is based off
Larry made an appearance in the season 21 episode Happy Holo-ween..The clip is on CZcams
1997.
Reminds me of "Sam & Max Hit the Road"
6:00 this scenario actually happened on an Aeroflot aircraft, Aeroflot Flight 593
I remember watching this in the early 2000s over and over on the Cartoon Network(because there wasn't much else to watch). I never liked Family Guy though, the "humor" there goes over my head.
I like how the humour is mature compared to the kids shows of today.
0:35 is that shaggy i see 👀
I remember watching this as a 8 year old kid and wanting more of it.
If Family Guy was a kids show
Peter and Brian's voices are iconic. For a pilot, I really like how well animated it is, good jokes, good random moments and good characters. The truth is that Peter was nothing like Larry, but his charisma is the same. and Brian and Steve are somewhat similar, they just changed it to white and a little plumper, let's say. but brian (or steve) is still my favorite character with stewie
Did anyone else notice Shaggy in the background of the pound scene?
I enjoy this but there's no way this was going to get picked up for kids
Quagmire voice lol
The pilot sounding like Quagmire.... I'm surprised we didn't have a proto joe somewhere
Larry is an idiot
loved this series when it showed un on What A Cartoon on CN years ago which was a platform for experimental shows. Too bad this show (and Mina and the count) ended up just pilots/oneshots.
Its a good thing this didnt air right before/around 9/11, cause it definitely wouldve been taken off the air because of the airplane crash scene. Lol
Crazy. I remember watching this back in the 90’s
1:17 "what"
also from chuck e.'s adventure awaits show (june 1997), best of cec tv (july 1997) & best of scott wilson show (april 1998) intermissions.
1:04 This was probably Seth laughing like Peter 😂
This probably wouldn't have gone very far, but it is still very charming.
0:45
Was he a.... family guy?
This really makes you wonder what could have been.
6:15 Early version of Quagmire???
It seems before that all you see,
Logic brought me here
