Whole family of Spanish checkers is my favorite one. It is not limited by Spanish, but includes also Czech, Argentinian, Tanzanian, Thai and these are very funny variants. Unlike backwards jumping variants (Brazilian, Pool, Russian), Spanish checkers have more complicated king endgames. For example, under backwards jumping rules "4 kings vs. 2 kings" endgame is rarity (I remember me playing it only three times in real club tournaments, and it is less than 0.5% of my played games!), however, in Spanish checkers and derived variants (Czech and Tanzanian) it is very common endgame, and according to my assumptions, you can reach it at least in 3% of played games. Besides, there are some particular techniques for handling king and simple checker endgames in Spanish checkers: for example, if you know how to transfer simple checker c1 to crowning line in Brazilian, Pool and Russian variants while holding 2 kings and control over long diagonal and fighting against enemy king and simple checker a3, you will need to apply more complicated approach in Spanish, Tanzanian and Czech variants.
