hi! i had to make the exact same decision between usc and unc, and decided to go to unc as well. after looking at both of their business programs, i realized that i would be getting a similar quality education with both schools, but for much cheaper at unc because i got a full ride scholarship. also after visiting both schools, i enjoyed the campus at unc more. its kind of sad that in california where im from people sleep on unc because a lot of people i know go to uc berkeley, ucla, stanford, usc, and other schools with more recognizable names, but i’m very happy with my choice because i feel that the school is right for me. good luck at unc!

Congrats on UNC! Out of curiosity why did you apply to ivies/uchicago but not other elite privates like Duke, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, etc.? I know ask because I see a lot of international students applying to a ton of the elite privates.
I did apply to Northwestern! Not other elite schools simply because they didn’t offer my major or weren’t as “good”!

BU’s Communications program is one of the best in the nation so it’s not surprising that you didn’t get in. What’s truly surprising was that you chose UNC over USC! Good for you to not choose a college merely based on rankings.
unc is ranked higher than usc tho lol
