The fitting you need to replace is a brass 1/8" ID hose barb x 1/8" male NPT fitting. My local hardware store had one for $1.50 UPDATE: this same fitting has failed exactly 3 years later! Thinking stainless might be the better option.

Would have loved to see your speedometer when you recorded this. Maybe you were going slower on purpose so the deputy could pass you, just to have something negative to say about cops.

So nobody told you that the pre-85 mercedes 5 cyl would run on SVO or WVO with zero conversion needed, huh? I have an 84, does perfect. Only had to add a booster fuel pump to deal with the slightly thicker oil.

It's your decision, but if you're currently able to run 10 miles, I don't know why you'd be considering an amputation!! Yes, the Ertl is great, but there are other aspects to being an amputee that aren't so great.... such as doing "the flamingo" in a slippery shower.

On longer runs, I do have to stop periodically to drain the sweat from my liner. The liner sort of slips down and gets bunched up, which gets uncomfortable. However, unlike most non-Ertl BKs, adding 1-ply socks is a thing of the past. In fact, I don't use any spacer socks at all... even during a 5K. There is no concept of keeping your stump up off the bottom of the socket.

My first running blade was a used Nitro that was one weight category too high, so it was a bit stiff. The Catapult I'm using now is the correct weight category, and it made a big difference. I do not feel unbalanced at all when I run, and when I look at my shadow (or reflection if I run past some windows) my hips and shoulders are definitely level. The running leg is sized a bit longer than your "good" leg, so that you remain level when it compresses.

Do you feel uneven when running at all or is it pretty balanced? How does the socket feel after running and sweating? I am interest in the ERTL procedure to eliminate chronic pain in my ankle. Wondering if this is a good alternative. I love to run, currently up to 10 miles, but being 260 and on a prosthetic, I wonder how it will feel. Can you give me any insight to what it feels like? I would really appreciate it.

The previous owner installed that amp -- since I took that video, I've ripped all of that stuff out. And yes, I know the diesel tank sits directly behind that wall... fortunately, so did the guy who mounted that amp!

Sounds like it need the following valve adjustments, rack damper bolt replacement, diesel purge (lots of them), and italian tune up...
