IISER Pune Alumni Association with Science Media Centre, IISER Pune presents Alumni Stories - a new series through which we catch up with IISER Pune Alumni to find out their career trajectories since graduating from IISER Pune.
For the first episode of Alumni Stories, we feature Dr. Surojit Sural. Dr. Surojit was a BS-MS student in the 2nd batch (2012) of IISER Pune BS-MS programme. After finishing his PhD from University of Michigan, he is currently doing his post doctoral research at Columbia University, New York City with a funding from HHMI. His findings on ageing and stress using C.elegans as a model organism received wide attention in the field and have been later tried and tested in other animal models.
