DISSEMINATED INTRAVASCULAR COAGULATION LAB TESTS
Disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) is a condition in which blood clots form throughout the body, blocking small blood vessels. Symptoms may include chest pain, shortness of breath, leg pain, problems speaking, or problems moving parts of the body. As clotting factors and platelets are used up, bleeding may occur. This may include blood in the urine, blood in the stool, or bleeding into the skin. Complications may include organ failure

Ps tell the stability of this in house prepared qc and what are the tests that can be performed, how about glucose stability?
Take out one each day and discard after use. Most of the common tests can be performed. Very good stability for glucose if frozen for more than 6 months.
Good stability, in fact this was the only method of running internal QC in early days.

If glass slide is used in place of counting chamber; what will be the method of counting cell?
Counting chamber has a measurement of the volume of sample used for counting cells. CSF samples normally have very few cells and needs to be concentrated before making a stained smear, no methods available to count cells from direct smear.
May I know the normal range of wbc per field for such fluid please
Below 5 cells per cu.mm is normal, you may not see WBC in all fields. Thanks for watching.
@@techquest3259mine is 20 cells c.mm and 95% lymphocytes and 5% neutrophils. Is that okay..as i am getting unusual headaches from 5 months.
Sir if water is contaminated all results must fail, why only glucose and amylase have failed.?
That example only Glucose and Cholesterol were calibrated before running the QC others were not calibrated. Thanks for watching.

The difference between the run should be with in total allowable error.
What's the acceptable r square value for correlation with reference to international standards
The r should be closer to 1 and within total allowable error.

Excellent explanation. Other points are testing qc material out too long to deteriorate. Uric acid is a dynamic type of analyte. Or the calibrator was made up without leaving big pipette tip in deionized H2O for few seconds and aspiration and dispensing angles. Slow pipetting and steady is key 🔑

What happen if only buffer add and not specimen ( blood or serums)?
It will be like a Negative result with valid control result.

The control line is after the Test line, so the sample reaches the test before control. If the sample does not reach the control, we will not get the control result which makes the test invalid.
