Getting ready for some fall crops to go in soon. Planted some more potatoes after I harvested the first batch. Waiting a few more weeks to redo the Spinach, Kale, and some other things. Thinned out the peppers and staked the tomatoes.

Bugs is my guess. Also I suggest checking your local extension office if you are close enough. They are a great resource. Good luck
@jerryrigsit5400 I have yet to discover if my city even has one of those offices. But the comment by the other person mentioned the name of the insect, and it is problematic and will need to be cut down. It sucks, cuz it really does look kind of pretty until it gets those pods show out and the vines destroy the fence lol

@fadibahoura7012 I looked that up. You are 100 percent correct! Sadly, this vine comes back every year, and it's not on my property to annihilate it at the root. Dang, looks like I will need to put on a hat and chop away at this thing, and hope I don't make the bugs jump to the garden :(

Not sure what that bug was but dont think bad if alone..Japanese Beatles are always mating..lol..and be eating holes in leaves as they do it Those long peppers look like purple jalapeños..the start green..go yellow..then purple
@@mikeschaoticgardening The labels on the packets said nothing about jalapenos lol. But as I had learned with the kale package having tomatoes in it, you never can tell 😂😆 And I could have done without the Japanese beetle mating details. Geeze, can't they wait til the end and THEN go tell her to make him a sandwich? Hahahah

Some of the seeds I planted didn't come up I have no sweet pepper and when I thought I dropped more seeds It is tomato lol. Looking good! Happy Gardening! 💚🌱
I have a battery that doesn't keep it's charge and if I knew that I wouldn't have gotten it. Makes no sense to waster energy powering a battery that's not going to keep the charge and not be ready to go when I need it 🤦🏾♀. I do need to pull my solar panels out and hook them up to see how the work 👀🤣, Yes practice with your preps! Stay Ready!
@Bouje-Prepper Right? I fully charged this little guy and left it out where I can see it to check how fast it loses its charge over time. I have yet to hook up the solar panels to it, in order to see how long it takes to fully charge vs what the panels and unit say lol. I want the TRUTH truth 😄

@Bouje-Prepper yup, I have that tub thing as well, but it's a one time thing that you can't really dry out well to pack back up and to store away for next time. I will keep that for when an immediate confirmed threat is at hand (or to store water sourced from outside the system should it go down, as a storage for "raw water" to be filtered for use).

Hey Bouje, Things are OK. I hope the same for you ❤. The critters apparently have been busy with other things, even though I still find acorn shells in the troughs. LOL I don't think the wildlife appreciates the high heat and humidity any more than we do 😅. I am surprised that the tomato plant that broke off, and has ripe cherry tomatoes on it, hasn't been consumed by the birds or squirrels. Most of the damage this year has been weather related. Though, I just pulled my first harvest of potatoes, garlic, red lettuce, and some more cherry tomatoes 😊

Great video! So cool that you’ve got a pepper growing. It seems like pepper plants grow slowly and then suddenly explode. As far as the grow bags, maybe try the ones that might have more ventilation. They have ones that are more of a cloth material that apparently prune the roots, and are porous. I’ve had success with potatoes in grow bags. The lettuce has a great color! You’ve got lots growing! @@holisticheritagehomestead Hi Colin! I am not on here much, so sorry if I have missed a lot. The grow bags I bought years ago and never used so I figured I would give them a shot. They are more of a plastic type, and have the peek-a-boo panels that are meant for potatoes. I wasn't sure how they would do. I also don't normally buy starts either. So the combination was new territory, in which I have failed lol. Thanks for the encouragement though 😎

When and if water is not accessible, you will be glad you did what looked to be silly, as it will be priceless to you and your family. There are water filters, and treatment drops ect if you want to do some research on your own. This is just a quick video, with a practical thing that you can do in just a few minutes to make a difference if you need it.

@@OCDishChick The seed packet from Dollar general said Russian Kale. They grew up to be tomatoes. (Secret agents I suspect lol)
@@OCDishChick I have never had my kale and lettuces grow so excruciatingly slow. I would have had multiple harvest by now, but ai haven't had a single one yet. In addition, my Romain lettuce didn't even come up, and my spinach after two plantings had a dismal turn out, and what did got dug up by critters. My garden has been a war zone lol

She was cautious but brave. Once she did an initial investigation, she quickly became fearless. A little too fearless lol. The shelter has her name as Lily. She hasn't responded to that name yet, so not sure if it will stay Lily or not. I will have proper videos done when I have a few moments, but she is a handful right now. 😂❤

She is unfortunately a jumper, so everything we put up high to keep her safe, is now in the danger zone and has to get moved lol. Other than that, she is doing very well ❤

Always a challenge, but the more I neglect everything, the less it bothers me hahahaha. I've had a different focus this year, and the garden is an after thought to be honest. If anything actually produces anything I will be shocked 😎
