I can't recall if there was a Direct X update but it ran 'straight out the box" and I didn't have to change any settings, apart from maybe graphics down a notch. The game must be optimised in places as I didn't really notice any major issues

Anything downloaded will appear in your Downloaded area of the menu and ypu can then create a faction using the new items/units which will then be available to use in sandbox mode. You'll need to name your faction and assign it a symbol then you can save it when prompted

I'm not sure how different the Switch version is to PlayStation but I bought the full game and found it looked good and played OK, though the controls took a bit of getting used to. The main shame was the fact that I got the cloud version so if you have weak wifi that could be a problem. I was thinking about playing Village too but the escapes and boss fights in RE games stress me out!

the boss fights in re8 are really amazing and in re8 you can hunt animals for food ingredients to cook to make yourself stronger.

@megamanzeroxfan2010 That sounds pretty decent. Do you get trapped in a loft with a chainsaw wielding maniac too? lol. If there are any new RE instalments due out then i guess they'll be waiting for the Switch 2 which may handle the processing demands, otherwise they'll be cloud versions too - seems to be the way for high power Switch games atm.

@T_82 nope, no chainsaws, only lycans werewolves, and a 9 foot tall vampire mom, but it resembles the original resident evil 4 with combination of 1st and 3rd person option dlc winters expansion.

@megamanzeroxfan2010 I enjoyed a lot of the elements of RE5 as it was a bit more arcadey and I thought the upgrade feature was a good addition. I wonder what's next without revisiting old territory...

HL1 now there are some memories! Actually I think 2003 was likely that very point for me, starting on LAN. Yes I realised my error too far in, but on reflection I doubt I'd have been any better in a teams match. I need to reconfigure myself after the time away!

It has good days and bad days lol. For me it was a great way to play PC games without a PC!

Certainly not the worst and after playing a bit more it reminds me of the game Starship Troopers should have been lol. It doesn't seem to struggle where Palworld does either so fingers crossed it stays crash-free!

Yes I had to try it what with the prospect of more power hungry games coming - I'd guess. Shame the destructible environment caused a lot of slowdown but I'd not changed any of the settings so I may try that again in the future!

@@T82official I added a new update yesterday which removes debris even quicker as default in chaos physics levels, this should have a slight performance improvement but will likely still be slow. It actually performs surprisingly well on the steamdeck from your video though. I wouldn't expect to see chaos physics or niagara fluids being widely used in their current form in games anytime soon though as they're still not really game ready at least as real time simulations (as pre baked simulations (animations) they're being used already). However all these systems are not default in UE5 and Fluid Ninja is a third party paid plugin; most UE5 games will not use these plugins as they're very resource intensive and most games don't need such advanced physics simulations, so most UE5 games should run much faster.

Thanks for the information and I figured parts. I didn't realise UR5 had been in use for so long already but as you suggest a lot of the glitz and glam isn't mainstay yet and I suspect would always fair better on performance PCs rather than handheld devices, although those are becoming more powerful now. Have you tried reinstalling the game as that can sometimes reset things? You may also want to look at reinstalling the mods to ensure everythings synced in the workshop?

I think some moves are triggered automatically by the unit itself so the controls in possession mode may vary from unit to unit. The beserkers leap on their own but in possession mode you can only use their axes

I think Sonic origins has some modernisation updates but only a set few sonic games. The Sega classics game I think are more just the original versions but with save features, but it also has loads of other non sonic games, like streets of rage, golden axe, etc. so is good value for money. If you want to play the old sonic games with a newer look then you may want Sonic Origins, but if you wanted a collection of famous Mega drive games then I'd go for Sega Classics

On the Switch it's the shoulder buttons that cycle through to the unit creation screen, but when fighting you use the left shoulder button to select your units

It was hard to tell where their hit points were, but once you get their pattern they're like a sonic the hedgehog boss, so not overly lengthy

That's my problem I can't tell if I'm doing any damage. Like the boss on the Strite stage I was firing at him for 5 minutes and nothing happened! Oh you shoot it in the ball thing in its stomach! Just worked it out haha

Is it saying the game isn't properly updated or the menu that you're loading?

@@T82official when I try to add the faction to the wheel thing it says it isn’t properly updated and could crash and doesn’t allow me to add it

I presume it's not a modded game, just the original? Also are you using someone elses units that you downloaded in the faction you're trying to add? I wondered if it could be what's Inside the faction that's causing the issue

I'm still trying to figure out the skills needed to unlock the use of probes/drones etc as I tend to buy things, then realise I'm not able to use them lol

@melinaclark6857 The screen thing was a habit I got into and still do it now, but I've not played minecraft for quite some time actually as there were too many other games out there!

There'll be a weapon, clothing, unit stat, etc. that's incompatible and causing the error so you'll have to work out what you've done and edit it until it works

Is there a tick in the 'unit cost' area of that screen too?

@T_82 We filled in unit amount and icon/ photo, so those were good. I figured out what to do for the Switch. You have to hold down the left toggle and X at the same time to name the unit. Once we did that, the save button displayed green and we were able to save the units/ characters! I still cannot figure it out for the PS5, though. I also cannot figure out how to get his saved characters to be playable in game. I heard you can only play them in Sandbox, but when we go to select units they don't appear. =/

You need to add them into a Faction first and then go to Sandbox mode, find the Faction in the unit wheel, and the units should be found in there

It's runs fine on default settings but it struggled on Epic levels of quality. It shouldn't need to be dumbed all the way down though, but I've noticed when the Steamdeck overheats it starts chopping

How.many account could the steam deck handle??

@damianpidgeon990 If you mean user accounts I think you can have several, including sharing your library to others, but I don't do that so I don't have any user experience

@damianpidgeon990 From what i gather you can't play with two characters on the same Eve account simultaneously if that's what you mean

Did a reinstall not work for you as it seemed to sort it for me? I don't know much about the various OS running options for the Steamdeck but there's the stable and developmental options I'd played about with previously to get access to something but I forgot to switch it back. Since then I've not mucked about with its general settings until I know what I'm doing, but 99% of the tbc games I've played have worked. Palworld crashes all the time though

I know the feeling! I'm undecided as to whether a PC would solve some problems I have with the Steamdeck, but that would be a costly manoeuvre. The Steamdeck does keep things simple though and there's so many games out there to try. Good luck 👍

@@T82official fallout shelter is verrified on steam deck yet crwls to a stop with low (01) fps after a few minutes

@Cowboy_Hippy A brave move but in general it runs 'straight out the box', though you may want to turn the graphics settings down a notch if needed. As you may be playing online there's always the risk of disconnecting from a server but that's the same with any game. Just remember which online server you play so you don't lose your progress!

You can access sandbox mode from the main menu, after you've made your creations. I don't recall a quick access button to get to sandbox mode when you're in another menu, but I could be wrong...

Thanks for watching. Generally I've found it ok considering the server can be full of crossplay, so there is potential for lag. I find the bigger issue is finding other players or food. In this video 90% was looking for something and when you do it's a 50-50 chance of getting killed lol. Much like The Isle really

Hmm that might be tricky. Would need a camera first unless my phone would work but I'm running out of USB ports! I use the default keyboard/mouse control template when using the steamdeck and I don't remap any buttons so from memory I think Q activated the senses and numbers 1-4 triggered the roar/calls but I'd need to verify that!
