I WANT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was 16 when Space 1999 came on in 1975. To me the show stood the test of time.
Fantastic! Can't wait to watch the full documentary.
Cant Wait (:
fantastic thank you !!!
I am eager to see how this will come out. Good luck and success wishes to all involved! 👍💪✌
😍
If you pitch the show, will you pitch it as a reboot or continuance? Personally, if we could pretend season 2 didn't occur as it originally did, that would be great.
Not sure if this question has been asked but I'm going to put it out there: is SpaceX considering implementing the framework of Space 1999's infrastructure, space craft, and technology detailed in the Moonbase Alpha Technical Operations Manual? Seems to me the groundwork has already been completed by the Space 1999 employees.
The Eagles had nuclear propulsion derived from the NERVA project, which was discontinued by Nixon in 1973 despite successful ground tests, and never resumed. So, unfortunately, the answer is no.

@@car103d They lost their nerva.
I like it, mixing fiction and non-fiction. Interestingly, NASA and DARPA are collaborating on a nuclear rocket with BWXT who design SMRs. Notwithstanding the missing fission engine, my question about SpaceX hasn't been answered yet. They should progress something like Moon base Alpha and the Eagle Transporter. They could likely get the pieces to space on the Falcons and Starship.
@@mbabcock111 Propulsion is everything, without nuclear rockets (fission or even fusion or antimatter) we cannot have enough specific impulse for lift off and landing on the moon of the numerous heavy machinery, excavators, to build something as large and partly underground as Moonbase Alpha, or the moon base in Kubrick's 2001. We are limited to inflated balloons and other ultra-light structures... Maybe it is barely possible to build the moon base in the U.F.O. series. (if Commander Straker gets the funds from General Anderson!)
If...IF...you can get a remake of the show, you've got to keep the spirit of the theme music to S1. It is an amazing blend of classical drama and disco funk.
Fantastic is it all, so well put together - and very Interesting panel discussion. Can't wait for the full thing to premiere!!!
Awe man I love this. I used to draw the Eagle all the time when I was a kid. I was totally obsessed. I think that the charm was that it really was a realistic scenario. Cannot wait for this.
I can't believe you got to meet Nick Tate! One of my favorite SF moments of all time is Alan Carter's choice to return to Alpha rather than head back to Earth during 'Break-Away.' I'm very excited to watch this documentary! I'm a 55-year-old American who remembers watching Space: 1999 on public television in Western Massachusetts on PBS in the early '70s.
Lol and if the moon ever did tear away at least we know they have Eagles
NASA - project Artimis - here's your Moon base Transport...... Under budget ,proven and able to do more than Gateway ever could ..... Question is ......NASA do you have the balls to make it..........
Tried to pre order this. I love in Manchester . I've tried my address, a family members address, a friend who lives in the next towns address and for all of them I get the message unable to ship to this address??
@seano4977 Thanks for your interest. We have International Orders enabled. Please try again and let us know.
UK resident here too. I get the same message. 😢
Just tried it again and sadly I'm still getting the same message. Tried changing addresses but it just won't have it. Just says "Shipping not available for selected address."
@@seano4977 We will keep working on it. We did set Shopify to sell to the UK. VERY SORRY ABOUT THIS! I will contact them tomorrow directly. Will keep you posted.
Any luck in buying one yet @Doco72?
Have you considered making a TV show revival?
GREAT !!
Around the world talking about the Eagle from Space:1999. An amazing value in life! 👍👍👍
This documentary looks fantastic -- even the promo was fascinating! Can't wait to see the whole thing!
Are there any recent updates on this movie?
This is GREAT filmmaking. Great shooting, aerials and more!
Director here: thank you so much!!
@@jeffreymorris7242 yes sir - absolutely. I watched Space 1999 as a kid back in the early 70s. Built the model of the Eagle as a teenager. I'm an old dude now - I make films and videos and fly dji drones for my aerials. I see how much care you've taken with each step of production. So I tilt my hat to you, sir. it's a great production and folk on CZcams are starting to notice! keep up the great work!
If they ever do a new series, that 25 foot Eagle needs to be in it!
WOW.
Gerry Anderson (and his team Brian Johnson …) was a genius Thunderbirds , Space 1999 I was fascinated by the Eagles , the alpha moon base (the tube, remote controller with Tv, …) all that stuff that Make his productions exceptional
Thank you Jeffrey, for a simply Monumental effort. You're bringing the dream of thousands of Space 1999 fans to life once again - 50 years later. We salute you.
You are VERY welcome!
I'm guessing the project is dead?
Rather incredible!
Simply awesome! Another superior sci-fi production by Jeffrey Morris who is the consummate Future Dude! Bravo, sir!
Quand un film avec des effets spéciaux modernes, mais tout en respectant le design des Aigles ? Perso, j'achète ! 👍👌
The best sci-fi spaceship is EAGLE! And Eagle will fly again! I am sure about this.
It will if I have anything to do with it.
Really looking forward to this. Great teaser.
Build it - and we will all come to see it!! Greatness Survives!!!
Space: 1999 Eagle - such an iconic ship! Sub'd!
Fantastic voyage, fantastic achievement... This is going to be so great!!!
Can't wait to see it!
Epic, love how the youth of today will become the geniuses of tomorrow. Such a great way to involve them and make them ask more questions and look for answers. Science over many other things in life, it's the future 🙂 👍💪✌
Will there be an act 2?
I still have the diecast Dinky Eagles from 1975, the best ships ever designed.
I still watch the series
🔥 *PromoSM*
I've often wondered why NASA or SpaceX haven't adopted the Eagle design for an actual moon lander/transport spacecraft. It's design and function and versatility make so much sense. Perhaps in the future we'll have an actual variation of one. Someone ought to put a bug in Elon's ear about the Eagle. He'd be the most likely to undertake a project like that.
The Eagles had atomic NERVA rockets, successful project closed by Nixon in the Early 70s, and then NASA opted for the Space Shuttle for orbital missions abandoning manned space exploration. That’s why we haven’t had the Eagles or 2001 ASO shuttles, no more updated manned Lunar or Martian missions and we won’t see anything like S1999/2001 until the atomic rockets will be continued with new technologies. I even doubt that someone can be so suicidal to go again on chemical giant rockets to the Moon with projects on private contracts instead of the 8% of the US GDP of the 60-70s NASA budget. We will see… Like the protagonists in this promo we didn’t imagine in the 70s that space exploration could be abandoned in that way and atomic rocket research, propulsion is almost everything in space, anyway we can still watch the documentaries searching NERVA Project and imagine what we have lost if only it wasn’t discontinued…
Fantastic! I can't wait to see the feature-length documentary!
Loved your video. Subscribed. 👍
I loved Space:1999 when I was little.
Loved the show. Like for many, the Eagle was a lead character in the show for me. Very much looking forward to this.
In the 70s, I watched U.F.O. Star Trek and Space1999 every weekend. Plus, Are You Bing Servied .
