After 4 min he has said nothing. If he was flying the max he would be talking to Saint Peter if the AOA vane stuck. What happened is there was a anti stall system in the plane that trimmed the 737 fully down, while the pilots were type rated to fly this 737 max plane they did not know this system(MCAS) even existed. This system depended on one mechanical vane sensor. What is needed is a button that turns off MCAS, still lets column trim switches work and switches off auto pilot. Having more redundancies might not work. Cos common cause may cause both vanes to stick. If the pilots had that button, and had been told about MCAS this cashes wouldn't happen. No body sat back and asked "what does this mean for safety " is bs. They Boeing new they were told by the programmers and engineers, the decision was made by their Boeing bosses Mums the word we don't want the aircraft to need a new type rating or the air lines to have to pay to retrain pilots. That is why these crashes happened. A bent/ incompetent FAA and a bullying management culture in Boeing. MCAS is needed to prevent pitch up and stall because of new location of more powerful engines causing the engines to behave like set to pitch up canards in higher AOA situation. With out a quick way out for the pilots like this suggested button, MAX will still be dangerous. As per landing short due to wind shear with out MCAS, is just as deadly. Like flying through a tropical down pour just in front of the runway. Pilot boots plane, it can pitch and stall and come down, crunch.
