Thank you for all ur great lessons .just want to no what's most common strumming pattern for irish folk rebel music fast and slow songs
@@christyjordan4735 I'll have to look that one up. I've had a few requests for unusual patterns so I might do a vid
If you mention the cords your using too would be helpful or put them up on screen . If I’m trying to do and sound like the video I need to know the cords. Thanks😊
@@anniearrrowsmith9965 hi, chords most of the time are G, D Cadd9. Look that last one up, it's quite easy to play. Otherwise just C. At another point in vid I play C, F over and over. Feedback noted for future vids, will put chords up on screen
Actually I'll do a vid on simple chord progressions to practice strums with, coming soon ..

truly, it doesnt
Is there a chance you can explain how the chord building works on guitar? You have showed how to build a chord from the root note with going up 2 tones in the scale twice. On keyboard it made sense how you showed it.. but on guitar i dont get why on some chords you leave out strings or which string to play which note on.. if you get what i mean. And also i have seen that chords are variable? For example on Ultimate Guitar where you can look up TABs for songs, some of the chords are played sligthly different sometimes, like the G chord where sometimes you play the B string without fretting and sometimes you play it on 3rd fret.. how come so?
Hi there. I'll get to it for a video. But in the meantime all you need to think is - If the notes in a C chord are C,E,G. Then you can play as many of those as you like in whatever order you like. So, on guitar an open C chord has C,E,G,C,E ...all good as it is only uses the notes (C,E,G). So if instead you played C,E,G,E,G - still a C chord as only using those notes. Will get a vid going for you
@@RizHallowes Ah yes, now I see.. Thanks a lot for your help !

Best lesson on strumming. Thanks
Many thanks
Thanks for a lot of great info!!! For me, I find it easier to just feel and hear my way through rhythm and strumming instead of thinking Up/Downs. At the moment I’m at the Intermediate Level and the way I’m learning is so much easier than focusing on when I’m supposed to be going Up or Down while strumming. I know everyone learns in different ways so whatever works best for each person. Also, I might add that I played the Drums for many years before learning Guitar so that helps with Rhythm too.
Hey, thanks for the feedback. I was actually the same as you in that it came to me. When I began teaching years ago i put together this lesson in response to the questions and problems students always seemed to be having.

Though I’m a bit further ahead in my music knowledge I’m glad your making these videos as you explain stuff at a very basic core level which a lot of people skip over to speed up the process. Despite it making the videos much longer I don’t mind as your personality doesn’t make it demeaning and you are quite entertaining
