I was sitting on these huge pink granite rocks that line the southern tip of Isla Blanca Park situated on South Padre Island, TX. On the horizon is a view of Boca Chica Island and Space X Launch site for the Starship that took off later that morning. Here you can see some of my 'neighbors' on the granite rocks. It was a fairly quite crowd until the lift off!

Here's another view from where I sat on the granite rocks in South Padre Island's Isla Blanca Park. Everyone was patiently waiting for the launch. Many of the spectators were here on April 17th(?) 2023 when the first launch date was aborted. Sitting on the Granite Rocks of South Padre Island TX in Isla Blanca Park. Waiting, waiting, waiting! The launch pad is across the water on Boca Chica Island. You can' hardly see the launch pad and rocket because it was a very hazy beach weather kind of morning.

I was walking down to the southern tip of South Padre Island in Isla Blanca park to watch the April 20, 2023 launch of the Space X Starship test flight. The sun was just rising and I looked to my left and saw cargo ships on the horizon.

Launch starts about 1:13 minute mark. This video is uploaded so you can hear the sound. It was a hazy day and so you can't see much as the rocket sat on the launch pad. On a normal sunny day you would have a much more clear view. During take off, in person, you could clearly see the starship take off into the sky ... beautiful silvery metal with a pale orange flame!
