Was not at the game however judging from last year’s and this year’s CZcams videos CAU digressed in my opinion for sure. They were much more crisp last year than this year go back and look. FVSU is gonna be a force in their weight class as the season progresses and The Marching 101 better be careful and be on upset alert when The BMMB comes a knocking in Orangeburg South Cacalaky next month!!

Fort Valley's band sounded really good considering their size. The drill was solid, but the drum majors need improvement - they didn't give off collegiate drum major vibe. However, the dancers were great! Their uniforms, though, were distracting. French-cut leotards may not be suitable for individuals who are not super petite. It might be a good idea for them to consider more suitable uniforms. The band dance didn’t add to the show; in fact, it seemed to kill the energy. Fort Valley should consider removing the band dance altogether, as the students appeared to enjoy playing the music more than performing the dance. Perhaps they could replace it with a ballad and a sideline blowdown. Overall, it was a solid performance: the drill was good, the sound was solid, and the dancers added a lot of energy to the show. Still, consider dropping the band dance, and someone please help the drum majors. ❤️🇺🇸

I thought the band sounded pretty good, considering its size. However, I think they should get rid of the opening fanfare and go back to the old halftime fanfare, which sounds better. Also, there are too many woodwinds; I think some of those woodwind players should switch to brass instruments; it would definitely improve their sound. I'm not sure why the band needs three drum majors; they should put two of them back on their instruments. On a positive note, the girls looked great and their performance was really well done. The band dance was also very good. Overall, it was a solid first show. ❤️🇺🇸 On another note, I found it disrespectful for Fort Valley to have football players on the field at the same time as the band's performance. I think someone should file a complaint about this.
