Hmmm i think if i shuffle the jobs like in the video i might have a bigger chance. I am roughly level 70 (some are above some closely below more 68 - 69) i had a problem with being catched off guard by the spell break galdera uses which wrecked my party almost instantly. Is there a way to negate this or is it just quickly kill before worse happens?

I am back again finally arrived at galdera and want to ask how you got so much revitalizing jam? Is there a way to buy it or farm it?

I had to watch the video at half speed to take notes: Phase 1 Primary Attacker: Tressa - H'aanit (Apothecary) uses Dohter's Charity on Ophilia (Dancer) - Ophilia uses Revitalizing Jam - Cyrus (Runelord) uses Alephan's Enlightenment on Tressa - Tressa (Sorcerer) uses Lux Congrere or Ventus Saltare - Cyrus (Runelord) uses Balogar's Blade - H'aanit uses Tomahawk Axe to break or Leghold Trap - Ophilia uses Alefric's Auspices on Tressa Phase 2 Primary Attacker: Olric Alfyn (Hunter) gives Pomegranate to Olric (Warlord) Primrose (Starseer) uses Divination on Olric Therion (Warrior) - Armor Corrosive on Galdera Olric uses Winnehild's Battle Cry Alfyn - Leghold Trap or Rain of Arrows Therion - Thousand Spears Primrose - Shooting Stars If this is too complicated, just keep giving Tressa and Olric pomegranates. Use Hunters and Warriors like Therion, Alfyn and H'aanit to break. Primrose and Ophilia for buffing skills like Alephan's Enlightenment and Divination. I beat Galdera using these strats in one attempt.

So if you're just looking to kill Caldera and don't care if you do it quickly - this makes an excellent starting point. The second phase is the tough one. If you have a powerful sorceror, as long as you've got party members able to support them you'll be fine. The second phase is the tough one - the first few attempts my party nearly got wiped out about the time I finished setting up and I wasn't able to recover. So I stopped trying to use Fortitude. Instead I put Saving Grace on Olberic. Ophilia was my best healer, so I brought her in with dancer as her subjob. I had everyone aside from Olberic equipped with Saving Grace, Patience, Encore and Hang Tough. I didn't use the Runeblade as additional damage in the first phase. Instead I had Cyrus focus solely on buffing and healing Therion, who was my Sorceror. I started off the second phase feeding BP to Olberic, over healing with Ophilia, and building up to use Dohter's Charity with Alfyn and boosted Transfer Rune + Sidestep with Tressa. I also brought the Luckless Sellsword into the fight for Full Enfeeblement. Once I had Reflective Veil and Sidestep on everyone, the battle was as good as over. I even got a bit too excited the first time I broke Caldera and used the Warrior's divine skill instead of the Warmaster's divine skill and I still won after breaking him a second time. You don't have to be completely geared out or at a really high level to pull this off - just make sure you've got a good supply of Revitalizing Jams and make your second party as hard to kill as possible. Full Enfeeblement was a HUGE help toward the end of the second part, too. The fight looks a lot more intimidating than it is - it's mostly down to knowing the mechanics, knowing what to expect and keeping your party alive long enough to do whatever set up you need to do. (Which, unfortunately, can be down to RNG - I really wish there was a save point after the boss rematches.)

Very nice strategy. Thanks for sharing it. I was finally able to defeat it. One of the most important moves in phase 2 is Alfyn's Leghold Trap after his parts are destroyed. For some reason, in my first attempt using your strategy I forgot to do it and my party got wiped.

I beat this fight using Supplement on Sloan mainly and elemental resistance to block out all of Emmas damage as Gloria tanks for everyone, Sloan just heals Gloria to full health and as long as the supplement cycle doesn't break it's only a matter of time until the battle is won. I wasn't aware that even these bosses were susceptible to sleep and poison. It bothers me that it seems you have to cheese basically all of these fights like this, I tried doing it normally and with all the unavoidable counters and ludicrous damage it seems basically impossible. I'm generally not a fan of having that one full tank that basically takes no damage and very OP spells like Godspeed to carry your every fight, not to mention that you can barely do without a full Support either unlike in Bravely Default 1 and Second. Kind of a big downside especially at the very end of the game Beat the final boss yesterday literally using Ultima sword with hp/mp converter twice and around the board supplementation. Idk it feels so unrewarding but again doing it legitimately is obnoxiously problematic and luck based because of all the counters and such. Maybe it's just the hard difficulty, yet this doesn't make it difficult. It's just cheesing. That's the big one negative that I've found with this version of the series.

Long-jumping slows you down, so use something else

I would switch out Elemental Edge for Augmented Elements. Edge is just an elemental buff, which you can get elsewhere. There's an old woman in Whispermill who, if summoned, will constantly buff your entire party's elemental stats each turn (dancer Ophilia can also do it with peacock strut). AE however multiplies your final damage by 1.2, on top of everything else. Was doing 63K each hit, maybe 380K total with repeated cast (was a few levels higher though).

Im lvl 70 above and idk what goes wrong i guess i just need to follow your fighting sequence and what to do step by step like i coppied everything got close to deffeating him and then he hits me with 9000 dmg
