@@diegox.longpips Ok as promised I tried the Sauer-Troeger Monkey (well just for a couple of hours in the gym). I mounted the rubber on a defense frame, as I prefer maximum slowdown at the table. I can say that it resulted in a remarkable control/disturbance combination. I was able to place the ball anywhere on the opponent's table with extreme ease. But precisely, as I was saying, the ball arrived dirty and bad. The chop block is devastating, making the looper that was shooting me go into the net most of the time. But the surprise was the ease with which I could shoot balls on offense. The result was tight, straight balls that were difficult for my opponent to control. So for now my rating is high, very high. Now I would like to put it on an attack blade. to see the differences and if you want I'll update you.

Both are great rubbers. Hellfire X is really good and from both is my favourite one because has more control. Monkey is super fast rubber, ideal for players that like send ball fart in to the table. Just have in consideration that due the fastness it is ideal to use monkey with slower blades. If not, the control become an issue

Los picos largos en niveles intermedios es verdad que pueden ser un factor diferencial, porque menos jugadores saben cómo jugar en contra de ellos, pero, conforme avances, el tener picos no es suficiente. Quiere eso decir que los picos no son útiles? Para nada, lo picos como cualquier otra goma, implican entrenamiento para mejorar con ellos y pueden ser usados a cualquier nivel, sino mira jugadores como Manika Batra, Akula Sreeja o Yashaswini Ghorpade disputando el top ranking mundial con picos. Mi recomendación es: si te sientes cómodo con ellos sigue entrenándolos, prueba cosas nuevas y depura tu técnica. Es la manera de llegar lejos con picos largos. Bienvenido a esta familia de Pimplers

About your question: if they have vertical alignment is easy to attack with them in horizontal position, and the other way around, if you have horizontal distribution is is easy to attack with them with the racket in vertical position. But we use the racket most of the time in horizontal position, this is why vertical alignment is easier for it. Dr. Neubauer has Allround that are also vertical, Stiga has Vertical 20 that are also vertical. Yasaka has some new version of Elfrark that are also vertical. Victas has the P2 but they come with sponge and not posible in OX. In general in the market there are more options in horizontal that vertical. The cheapest and for me better ones are DZ with out doubts.

Hi Roberto, thanks for your kind comment. Honestly monkey at the end was so fast for me and very difficult to handle. Maybe it was the fact that I ask for it combined with banana blade that is a heavy and hard blade that makes money even faster. Also, I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed when I saw Sebastian Sauer using it with unicorn, that seems a better combination for this rubber in stead of the one they sell like the best for it (banana). Hellfire X have something that I like and is the surface between the pips, it is really interesting and make special spin dificulta to get with other rubbers. Definitely Hellfire X is in my top pips rubbers

Yes I got some similar comments for other people. I totally agree that pips are not enough for higher level but also I think he is preparing himself for don’t depending just on pips and his technique goes in this direction, then I will give to him the benefit of doubt 😁

Los alineamientos horizontales de los picos (que son la mayoría en el mercado) favorecen la reversión o incremento del efecto con el que viene la bola. Suelen ser usados por los defensas por esta razón. Por el contrario, el alineamiento horizontal genera bolas más muertas, sin embargo, el ataque con ellos es más fácil de ejecutar debido a que al momento de golpear la bola estás impactando con filas de picos. Hay un vídeo específico en este canal llamado Cómo elegir picos largos con un juego, en él entro un poco más en detalle sobre las diferencias. Es un tema largo porque, también influye en la reacción de la bola cuán separados estén los picos, la textura y elasticidad de los mismos.
