The movie might have been "Alice in den Städten", a b/w movie from 1974, directed by Wim Wenders. It is an road movie, and the story starts in the US / NY. Kolin? Do you mean Köln? If you are there, its easier, if you use a train, going directly to Wuppertal, a little bit faster. I was born in Wuppertal, and lived there, for the first 30 Years. Every time, if I am back, visiting my mother, I have to take a short trip with the Schwebebahn. I really love it. Greetings from Berlin to Philadelphia.

@@Tuetensuppenkasper I hope when we are able to visit Germany, after covid, that we can ride it. We love visiting the Christmas markets. Maybe a train from Kolin to Dusseldorf, then find the monorail.

@@richardschickling6962 Hi Richard, I am a little bit confused. Do you really mean Kolin? This is a small Town in the Czech Republik, near Prague? Well I think they have pretty Christmas markets there. The train ride to Düsseldorf is about 10 hours, bur your destination for the Schwebebahn is Wuppertal, wich is around 30 Kilometers from Düsseldorf. I thought you meant Cologne, instead of Kolin. Cologne is only 50 Kilometers away from Wuppertal, Kolin around 800. If you are in Cologne, its much easier, to take a train, going directly to Wuppertal, instead of going via Düsseldorf. The ICE train from Cologne needs around 30 Minutes to Wuppertal. If you go to Düsseldorf first, its also 30 minutes, then you have to change the train, an you'll need 20 more minutes, to reach Wuppertal.Some 25 Years ago, I had a lovely train ride with Amtrac, from NY to Philadelphia, and was feeding the squirrels in the independence park.

@@Tuetensuppenkasper Yes I meant Cologne, I thought European people called the city Kolin. I live about 25 miles from Independence park. city is getting taller with new high rise office, and residential towers. I live 5 miles outside of the city limits. I can't wait for the virus to go away and travel to Europe and the Christmas markets. With no virus we can go back to Hawaii, we visited more than 20 times. I won't lay on the beach with a mask, wait till it's over.

@@richardschickling6962 Hard to write down, how to spent. There is a "Umlaut" Ö in Köln, wich is quite difficult to pronounce for english speaking people. But the Czech Kolin is named after the german Köln. I am living in Berlin, in the district "Neukölln" (Newcologne), wich has got its name also from the original Cologne. Cologne is one of the oldest cities in Germany, situated more than 2000 years ago by the old Romans. So some other towns used the name, when people from Cologne settled there. The ICE is the fastest, and most comfortable train, with 29 Minutes. This train is going to Berlin Gesundbrunnen, and often (not now, in cover times) crowded. Wuppertal is the first stop on the route. The train system is a little different to the US - if you want to be absolut shure, to have a seat, you have to book this extra. Especially the trains to Berlin are very often full of people. This train is going every hour. But there are a lot of other regional trains, riding from Cologne to Wuppertal, they are a little bit slower, and have much more stops. They need about 40-50 minutes for the route. Let's hope, this cover disaster will end, and we can live again, as we used to.

Agreed! And the reality is that no one can do this kind of quality detailed work outside of Asia. What you find when this is attempted in Germany, for example, is not quite perfect painting, or soldering.
