    RL Probably takes place in the netherlands, hence the mill and the bed where the woman in the mill is traditionally dutch, although the netherlands didn't participate in WW1 which is weird since leonard goes, my theory is tyat he volunteered as part of a foreign legion or smt

    Something I noticed about Mr. Owl ascension is that, even without the elixir, the logic of one dying one living still applies, because his mother sacrificed herself, although not by her own accords lol, which is what possibilited His very enlightenment.

      @zefiewings Před 12 dny

      We do see that in Underground Blossom, however since we have to assume that game is at least somewhat symbolic, its mor e4important we look at the actual memories in Bob's head. We get to see the moment he gets the card in the real world, and its the day he found our Laura died, so that cant be a literal representation in Underground Blossom. I do wonder what the symbolism is trying to say in that moment, perhaps that meeting Laura started him down that path?

      They defiantly have similar vibes but its so hard to say for sure because their voices often are the same people anyway. I do wish we could have a more solid confirmation on that one because we literally see his face so it SHOULD be clear if its him, but Aldous looks slightly different in many of his games so the art style isn't 100% consistent enough to know for sure if "grandpa" is Aldous. There is really solid arguments for and against them being the same but I cant find any way to feel confidant about it one way or another.

    Thank you for this video ! It helps so much indeed in terms of timeline but also in remembering or connecting details. I have no precise idea for a theory but I am sort of waiting for a "confrontation" between Laura and Dale at the lake which would be in reality a confrontation between William VdB on one side and Mr Crow and Owl on the other. After all, William died and had to be reborn through Laura to die again. Well, I don't know where I am going there, but I really enjoy the Laura/Dale dynamic. Thanks again !

    Hi! Nice to see you posting another video that fast (even though you had a setback). Like the previous time, I have a lot to say: some praises, some corrections, some theories for the future. 1) First of all, Harvey shouldn't be humanoid, all evidence considered. He is unlikely to change his form via rituals (since even Mr. Owl struggles to create new asuras) and he shouldn't be able to change his form on a whim, here's why: In the secret Birthday scene he legit died and was resurrected as a bird personally by Owl, as seen in a short moment before the light beam struck them. Since then we've never seen him as an asura again, in fact he was acting like an animal (albeit a magical and intelligent one): asking for food, defecating underneath, being stopped by a cage and more so by a simple cardboard box. There were several occasions when changing form would help with survival. And most importantly, samsara wheels in Theatre and The Cave deem him an animal too. For now it SEEMS that his form in UB is either another metaphorical part or a lore breaking retcon. Until I see Harvey stand tall in a more literal setting (TPW doesn't count since these are still UB teasers), I hope it's the former. 2) Speaking of Mr. Rabbit's motives, a good eye! Many miss the pistol part and think that Rabbit is future Dale that came to create himself as he was. 3) For some reason, I thought it was Rose who took Laura away from the lake. I know Laura remembers the place but still it occurred to me that an adult would be more mobile. Now as I think about it, Rose was taken to The Lab that belonged to Best Kept Memory at some point. Best Kept Memory advertised The White Door, Laura's mental health clinics. It all has to be geographically close. 4) And Laura's new city has to be far from the lake. Just remember Dale being unable to find it despite the police resources and Kirsten visiting the city to commemorate her father who lived there and then taking a plane to the lake. 5) Nice thoughts about Laura's school. Never reflected on that myself. 6) Again, my praise for noticing the year of 1966. So you know, the devs hinted at Gamescom 2023 that we'll revisit both 1966 and 1981 at some point. "There are secrets in [these 2 years]". 7) I agree that there were 2 meetings that we know of before Bob and Laura started dating because, yeah, they do recognize each other. And yeah, until further notice, I think the train station setting isn't to be taken literally under any circumstances. 8) It's more like Harvey was a simple observer in The Lab. Rose had everything to conduct the experiments herself and it were definitely her memory cube that was tested (and extracted before our own eyes). 9) Not a theory but some food for thought. The more we've been learning of Laura and Owl, the more the question was arising: why did Owl take Laura to The Lake in 1969? I really doubt it was a coincidence but all the hypotheses that could explain it become less plausible one by one. 10) And again, I commend you for noticing such minor details as the bits of the background visible through the box holes. 11) The devs actually confirmed at the aforementioned convention that the corrupted souls seen by Laura and Harvey in the cabin were the same creature. No idea how it works but still a fun fact: Harvey saw the wings because he was a bird. 12) Speaking of the endings of The Lake and Harvey's Box, I'm not entirely convinced but I would personally prioritize the fireflies over the light beam. The tree doesn't make much sense even by Rusty Lake standards while Dale finds the fly/firefly jar in Case 23. On another note, in case the tree is actually a thing, there's a different plausible theory. Since we've never seen the corrupted soul actually attack Laura, the blue gem ending could be canon with Harvey saving Laura afterwards. Basically using fireflies in HB ending. 13) I really doubt a new wallpaper in Seasons would mean a new accommodation for Laura. Many other things stay the same: the fireplace, the kitchen, the lamp, the window, the landscape behind it. You could doubt the reality of some of that but not altogether. 14) Rorschach patterns don't mean Ch4 of Case 23 and The Mill culmination taking place at the same time. It's not the lake that corrupts things, back in Paradise black cube offerings were actually a good thing. And so, it's just a similar sinister effect caused by 2 different corrupted souls in the games that came out 1 month apart. Actually, The Mill had to end before Mr. Crow took Dale to the cabin. Like Dale found the cubes and was teleported to the lake. Then Mr. Owl took his unconscious body to the chapel and gave Crow the storm. Crow used the wind energy to extract Laura's memories, accidentally corrupted her soul and confronted it. Only then Dale wakes up in the chapel and by the time he finds the exit, Crow has finished his other business and is waiting for him in a boat. 15) By the way, it's very likely that the corrupted soul with antlers is actually Mr. Deer before a redesign. The thing is, on the RL landscape poster (and its digital version in Samsara Room files) you can find additional characters including the corrupted guests. All 5 of them, only Deer uses his Case 23 design with legs probably to correspond Mr. Crow next to him. 16) Ok, to address your confusion about the period of Dale's investigation, you need to know that CE games lost some elements after being updated for the Collection bundle. Including some crucial date screens in Seasons, Case 23 and Theatre. They could be arguably retconned but for now I doubt that. At least they were all canon when Theatre came out and RL released the last official timeline map. So according to all that, Dale met Bob in Theatre back in 1971 while Bob's detention as well as the rest of Case 23 took place in summer 1972 (close to The White Door and Bob waking up in the street). That's one of the reasons why I don't think Dale was the one to arrest Bob. It's been about 10 months. Also, Dale didn't seem particularly interested in Bob's persona. According to the opening screen of The Office chapter, his mind was captivated by the lake. So I think, when promising Bob to find Laura, Dale seemingly means her body that really did disappear. The real mystery here is what happened to Bob between his suicide attempt and him being taken into custody. I don't know exactly but I assume he fell into schemes of Mr. Owl. He sent him a calling card with Sarah, his right hand handed him a pistol, his challenge for Dale concerning 2 cubes also involved Bob and after his escape from the police station Bob wakes up with no memory but with a convenient calling card of The White Door where he was already expected, as you pointed out (good job again). 17) By the way, I really recommend you playing the original Case 23 on Newgrounds or other Flash revival website if you still haven't. And don't rush the chapter 4, take your time to feel through it. All of it. 18) I think it was Sarah who was telling Bob to wake up in Dream 3. She stayed close to him when he did. I assume she had 2 nights to see how he was treated. Or maybe she had other plans for much longer. It's hard to organize such a huge breakout with escapees spreading across the globe with no resources and manpower at hand. But these are mere speculations for the time being. To be continued...

    • @nowherenest
      @nowherenest Před 23 dny

      19) Speaking of TWD endings, I'm sure that the one involving Sarah isn't called "The Alternative" for nothing. For one, the regular ending seems positive enough: Bob brings colors to his life, relearns Laura's lesson that nothing is gone and through that beats his depression. Thinking that Sarah's chapter follows that is causing a dissonance. As if these cool fits that Bob achieved were for nothing and he is still corrupted. That just doesn't feel right, I'd rather bet on different timelines or "what if" scenarios here, even though the book makes Sarah's ending canon in relation to Paradox. Oh and by the way, in that ending we see Sarah at Bob's place. Likely means a relationship. 20) Another praise for noticing James's elixir in the dog's feces. Many think it's just a weird elixir out of nothing. 21) Even though the blue cube depicts Laura's clock I don't think it actually belongs to her unlike the others that are explicitly linked to her picture on a scheme in the book. The blue cube comes out of nowhere there and thus I think that the clock is just a reference. 22) Just in case, the golden cube wasn't just a combinations of 3 other cubes. It required Laura's cubes specifically since they contained William's memories of the elixir, as shown in the book and on the mural. The golden cube itself is heavily implied to be tightly connected to the elixir if not already being one of its forms. 23) A little misconception. It's not fair to say that Rabbit turned into a tree. Rather dissolved into an existing one. 24) It's getting old but I'm really glad that you place Paradox before Birthday and Theatre. There are so many people thinking otherwise for no reason. 25) So yeah, I agree that Dale and maybe even Laura had journeys of their minds while connected to the machine. But I don't think for a second that Laura experienced Seasons then. Paradox is a dream or a mind palace that was deliberately looped. An artificial construct for the most part, only occasionally featuring real elements. I'd bet on Laura just sharing Paradox with Dale rather than going through Seasons for they are nothing like Paradox. They are much more like Birthday and Theatre, real memories of real locations and initially real events. Actual cubes probably floating in the lake. 26) And following that, even though I do connect Seasons with UB too, I wouldn't rush to draw lines between the normal UB ending and the elevator one. I get it, on the surface level it's very easy to connect them because, from our perspective, they take place in succession. But if you dig deeper the things start falling apart It's mostly about Laura's closing monologue : "My mother is here for me. I can live another life without sorrow". But that's not what's happening in the elevator. For one, we hear Laura asking "Where did she [Rose] go?" as if the conflict we've just resolved is suddenly rolled back. And even what's to follow isn't "a new life without sorrow". It's a deadly elixir lottery and Dale is more likely to win, considering all the clues from the games and Owl in particular. And while I absolutely agree that Rose and Harvey were helping with Seasons in one way or another. And I do agree that Harvey collecting cubes could represent his help with Laura's resurrection in 1972. There was just no place for Rose and her blossom back then. Whatever revived Laura in the great cube, it was planned by Owl. The problem is, Albert and Rose are very likely out of his scope. I don't think Owl would let Albert return if he knew it was going to happen, he's dangerous and unpredictable enough on his own. But now he also manifests knowledge and capabilities on a completely new level. He doesn't strive for elixir and false immortality, he breaks the realities and creates exits to The Lake like nobody's business. He enlightens Rose with no sacrifice whatsoever and does so like no one ever did. It's the first time in the series that enlightenment actually looks like nirvana. And if Owl doesn't know about Albert, then he doesn't know about Rose and thus can't plan accordingly. Even Seasons themselves look like Laura's personal endeavor, considering the lack of guidance on Owl's and Crow's behalf that Dale gets so much of (and no, it's not Crow calling Laura in Seasons, it's her corrupted future-self. Just in case). And I think 1981 has to be a real date. I do believe that "future memories" are possible but actual memories are simply much more probable and plausible. Besides, again, the devs promised to return to 1981. So I think Laura was somehow revived inside the cube in 1972 (due to Harvey's cubes or Dale drinking the green vial, not sure). Then she took the elevator and followed Dale to the hotel. There, after a ton of gameplay we'll see Laura lose to Dale in the elixir draw (at least in one of the endings) and die once again (or maybe she was never truly alive in the 1st place). Then, after 9 years of fighting stagnation and Harvey bringing the timepiece at some point, Laura finds her way to The Lake, to her cubes and to Rose in blossom. Then Seasons take place. Again according to the devs (this time at Gamescom 2021), they somehow make elixir and Laura is alive and happy in "one of her timelines", as UB synopsis said. And since Rose from 1926, Rose from 1984 and Laura from some year in between can all meet in The Lake, Harvey witnessing these events out of order is just as easily explained by The Past Within and its "time does not exist in The Lake". 27) I think it's not just to say that Albert and Rose merged the timelines in The Past Within. If anything, it looked like Roses entered their respective cubes like Dale did in Bday/Theatre only this time they did so simultaniously. The thing is, when you enter a cube, your mind is normally funneled into your past body inside it. But here, Roses have created an accelerating funnel loop sending minds into their other bodies as they are already sending minds into their other bodies. They are effectively swapping bodies until they merge and break out their cubes as one. 28) Really glad you didn't miss the ARG's. These are very cool bits of Lore. 29) I think it's safe to assume that Chad died in 2023. At least after late 2022 if we are evidence purists. For reference, there was a tape of a fictional VHS lottery winner Jimbo Fletcher. According to BKM documents, he ordered his memory tape in December 2022 when the lottery took place and left a review in May 2023 when the tapes arrived to their winners. By the same logic, the events of Distribution Center should also take place in May, when the secret level became available. Phew... That was a lot. Hope it's not too overwhelming. Would really appreciate your further thoughts. Looking forward to your other videos.

      Grateful for the write-up again, even when I agree with some points and disagree with others! Let me touch on these points. 1) Harvey is, in my opinion, one of the most mysterious aspects of the series. I rewatched that scene of his attack because I never noticed that Mr. Owl was calling on the white beam/power of the lake; you are so right! That minor detail completely changed how I looked at that scene, so thank you so much for pointing it out to me. And the point of the samsara wheels labelling him as an animal is also very important. That said, I hesitate to write him off as just an animal. He's just shown up as an important character too many times for me to completely accept that answer. And while his asura form in UB may not be literal, it still feels meaningful, like his soul is still not fully 'bird'. I call him humanoid in that era since, at face value, that's what we know. There is still room to find out more specific details about it as things progress. Another point of note; yes Mr.Owl/Jakob needs the Elixar again to go back and forth between human and Asure, but we have seen evidence of Mr.Crow being able to take the form of a Crow while he had his Asure form, so there is some precedence for the shift between Asure and animal to be easier. I have long suspected there is more to Harvey, and I have a couple of ideas, but I am not ready to rule out that he may genuinely have more power than even Mr.Owl. 2) Yes, I see how that happens because his outfit is pretty reminiscent of Dale's, I think I pointed it out when I was looking at it too. All together though I don't interpret Dale as having any relation to Mr.Rabbit (but mr. deer maybe?). I'd love to be able to theorize about different character's rebirths because while I don't think there is enough evidence for anything concrete there is some pretty interesting nuggets of details in there. 3) Was there something in the Lab that indicated BKM's involvement? I interpreted the Lab as her own thing but I may well have missed something, there are a lot of details and that is the newest location so I didn't have as much time to explore it repeatedly. 4) The problem is that Laura dies at the lake, and then is investigated/discovered by Dale yes? Unless...she was moved there? I know Kirsten flew to visit the lake but I didn't see anything saying she first visited his city and then the lake or where she was before flying there. And the fact that Dale didn't specifically know where it was didn't really preclude it being close to me: I live in northern Ontario and there are SO many lakes around me, you could name one and I would easily say I've never heard of it and it wind up being just a few hours away. Admittedly I do find the lake and the city location shaky so I am up to reexamining, but I don't think Dale not knowing it is necessarily a shut case, especially as the Lake itself has powers and its common for 'elder beings' and such things to have a sort of people can't easily stumble into it without being 'led' sort of thing. Thats all speculative though, I don't have a solid answer here. 6) I hope so I am eager to learn more about those moments and particularly anything to do with Harvey! 8) In UB we see Harvey visit the lab and give a cube. I don't think it went down exactly as the UB recreates it (she probably didn't just call him on a random payphone lol) but I still feel that unless I learn specifically otherwise, all scenes have at least something of truth in them. Otherwise, they wouldn't exist from a storytelling perspective. For me, it came down to just simply that Harvey definitely knew what Rose was up to. 11) Thats really neat! The main hole in my knowledge base is out-of-game info like def conversations. I guess I need to just sit down and read every old tweet and such I can find last some point lol. 12) Yeah I felt that they were more or less two sides of the same coin. Maybe Harvey just..saw it differently especially since we have confirmation that he saw the soul itself differently? In my head, they are just both canon unless something newer clarifies it more specifically. 13) To me its a question of purpose in game design, especially in the older simpler games. Them reusing assets like the phone makes things easier. But they went out of their way to change the asset of the wallpaper, and so I consider why they would go through that effort. In a setting with such few details, it felt like shorthand for a move or change in scenery. Now, it was just guesswork at that stage, but combined with the fact that we KNOW of two moves in Laura's life (once away from the lake, and once back) I see no reason not to use that detail to help shape the timeline. On its own it's just a smoking gun; but when we have to solve the timing of the move anyway and it lines up pretty well with when we know she leaves for the lake it feels solid to me. 14) I would concede your point on that if it weren't for one thing: we already know for sure that the events in Mill are not all at once like they first seem. Because we see the moment he answers the phone for Dale and we see the moment Dale is taken to the Chapel and Dale himself describes those as months apart. Since we know that both Rorschach moments are at the very least pretty close in time, I absolutely see it as indicative of it being simultanious, again unless something else comes along to say otherwise. 15) Yeah I suspected it was Mr. Deer, tho it didn't seem worth bringing up at the time. I didin't see that poster detail so that is excellent confirmation for me, thank you. 16) I'll look into those missing dates. I hesitate to use "cut-content" as it were, because I do think it might be a retcon since the re-release would have been when they were further in their plans about the story. Still its good information to have, at least until something newer comes along to debunk it outrite. Definatly my main confusion was simply where his shot took place, since there were a couple different ways to see it. As far as finding her body being the thing, I do like that explanation. Dale was at the very least still at the station and on the case when he was brought in, but now that you mention it Bob's dream/vision in the disco does seem to imply it was the other officer who actually brought him in. Seems Dale felt he was in the clear but the other guy didn't buy it. 17) I will absolutely look into that, though I will take whats in it with a grain of salt. When it comes to these complex stories over many years/games I tend to rule that most new is most true: if they've gone out of their way to change or remove something it might be for a reason. 18) yeah it seemed to be Sarah calling to him in that moment for sure.

      19) You know what...You are 100% right on this one. I just straight up forgot that the memory erasing ending was not inherently connected to the mass break-out ending. For some reason the way I had them written down made it seem like they were all one thing and since we know those cubes did make it out into the world in "our" timeline I just thought it had to be cannon too. I'm kind of glad actually; it really did seem like the true ending should have been with Laura drawing Paradise instead. I think I probably know the least about TWD, I've certainly replayed it the least except UB since that one is brand new. 20) lol my favourite part of doing that piece was when I decided to add the Dogs age like I do all the important characters. Its just so funny to me; what an old doggy. Thinking about it; that seems to be further proof that the elixir might be stronger in animals somehow; its still going strong enough in Dog that they other two can extract enough to regain power but they are all out of juice at that point. This might be further proof that Harvey really did start out as just a bird. Interesting, I'll have to think on that more. 21) That is a fair point actually, it probably just represented time itself within the lake, 22) I did clock that it was important that it was Laura's memories in the book. Those memories don't seem to connect to the Elixir tho so I wonder why they were the ones chosen. Plus we know that's not the only way to make a Gold Cube. TPW sort of threw a wrench in that. Bares more thinking. 23) another fair point. I guess what he actually did was cause an existing tree to blossom...or I guess to...leaf? (not as catchy sounding). Hmm. seems to me that meant that he met with the tree of his past life perhaps? (since it's so reminiscent of Rose meeting with herself.) Something along those lines? I think that's a train of thought worth following, I'll jot that down. 24) That one surprises me, it straight up shows him getting into the Paradise elevator at the end of Paradox, that one felt pretty cut and dry. 25) yeah this is more a matter of "my cannon until I have something better" I'm not super attached to it. For me where I land is that her last 'season' firmly takes place after her death and it has all those wires and machinery which felt to me like it could easily have been because that memory was formed while in the machine. I also felt that because Laura was a means to an end for Mr. Owl but Dale was the one he wanted to train up, that would be why he created Paradox for Dale while he might not have bothered for Laura. 26) yeah I connect them because seasons imply her coming back to life/changing her death, and then we see that happen in the lake. Certainly, there are some small holes in that one, was another matter of doing the best I could to get the information we currently have out there as a starting point. Agree with all that. Here's where I differ from your opinion; I think that Laura coming back was not part of Mr. Owl's plan. To me, it almost felt like Mr. Owl backing Dale and Mr.Crow backing Laura as the choice for successor. We see Mr. Owl interact with Dale time and time again, but other than using the power of her memories and the memories of her he doesn't seem to show much interest in Laura. As you said, Albert and Rose's actions seemed out of his scope. Add to that the fact that we get a date for Laura's final 'memory', the one of her life turning back, and that date is so much after, it feels deliberately separated from Dales's exit. It's almost like Dale and Mr. Owl move on and now Mr.Crow has the opportunity to try and save his kin? That may even be why we see Dale's elevator leave the white cube in UB. It's not that it happened RIGHT before she comes back (since we have proof otherwise, and UB is more symbolic than literal) but simply to re-emphasize that this is after they leave. 27) yeah I had to find a way to simplify what happened there because all TPW stuff is a tangle of itself and will need its own discussion videos for sure. 28) Love the ARGs :) 29) Those are excellent pieces of evidence and I wish I had pieced them together for the video lmao. Thank you for the write-up once again! I have the feeling that we will be debating things a lot ;)

      @@zefiewings 1. I never said he was just an animal, I said he was acting like one and I admitted him being magical and intellegent. After all, just a parrot wouldn't be able to defeat a corrupted soul. I even agree that he may even possess some powers beyond Owl but they never looked to be in that domain. I woud also really appreciate a solid precedent before attributing such an ability to Harvey but the evidence of Mr. Crow turning into a bird that I know is based either on unreliable narrators, on the period of his prime or just honest mistakes. What evidence do you mean, maybe I'm missing something? 3. There's no blunt sign of The Lab being BKM but there are several pieces of moderate solidity that convinced me when I combined them. - They are both dealing with memories; - They share the same general interior design; - The have tech of the same style; - They have almost identical blast doors; But most importantly, - Albert is hanging out at BKM from time to time, - BKM somehow has Rose's memories about The Lab on VHS, - The room from the lifestreams/the distribution center with its black cube looks like both The Lab and The Future. And it was even featured in TPW trailer. Even if BKM wasn't a thing in the 60s The Lab could eventually become one of its sites. 4. 1st of all, Laura didn't die at The Lake. Her suicide memory shown in The Cave featured the wallpaper from Seasons' kitchen consistent across all 4 levels. I tend to trust it more that any other depiction. It's the most down to earth, devoid from unreliable narrators as humanly possible. For 2, in Kirsten's instagram she revisited the place where she was waiting for her father after work as a child. That was before her flight. For 3, I can totally imagine civillians not knowing each and every lake in the proximity (btw there are whopping 7 Rusty Lakes in Canada), but that's Dale we're talking about. A staff police detective with access to the resources of the state. They simply have to know that stuff if it's in their country. I don't even think that magic would keep them away since we have several travellers visiting and even some newspaper articles. Besides, there is independent evidence for Dale, Laura and Bob living in the US and The Lake being located in Europe. Depending on what we take seriously, we can be as precise as New York and Great Brittain respectively. 8. We do see Harvey visiting The Lab but he didn't give any cubes to Rose. It was the other way around. She extracted The Past and gave it to him for a test drive. I do agree that there has to be some degree of truth but the general tone of Underground Blossom leaves me very skeptical. Also keep in mind that I'm speaking from an as objective point of view as possible no matter what I personally believe. I'm almost sure, first and foremost, the devs wanted to make a link between TPW and UB. To show what were Rose and Albert up to and the very extraction of The Past. It's technically possible that Harvey was simply the only avatar available for us in that game. But that aside, I actually believe that Harvey somehow did find The Lab and he at least witnessed the events in question (I'm still leaning towards him being a full time bird which would deem many actions we players perform debatable). 12. There are definitely ways to see all 3 endings of The Lake/Harvey's Box as canon. In any combination. 13. The biggest reason for me not to interpret that specific wallpaper change in that specific way is that the rest is pretty much the same. Basically there's more things that stayed unchanged, many more. Including the general room layout and even the wallpaper on the opposite wall. It's all so similar that it's easier to just slap an equal sign on than assume a mass reuse. We do that even to things with less visual similarities (like the Eilanders being the guests, 2 different Mr. Rabbits being the same person, and TWD manager being Owl despite a heavy redesign). Even the synopsis in the mobile stores seemingly implies that it's the same room slowly being twisted. The wallpaper isn't the only change, that's true, but I'm almost sure that, when there's no gameplay reasons, it's all to depict the passage of time. It's been 7 years between the 1st 2 seasons after all. 14. There's rarely strong evidence against something. For instance, you can't easily disprove a teapot allegedly orbiting the Earth. That's why people usually put the burden of proof on the claiming party. However I think I do have some evidence against, as well as alternative interpretations. As they say, absence of evidence is sometimes an evidence of absence and we've never seen The Lake being a cause for such changes especially when reacting to cubes. Meanwhile we see time and time again corrupted souls actually doing something similar: - Excessive blood in fall in Seasons; - Black void/overlay in The Lake; - Slightly black overlay in HB; - Bloody mirror in Roots; - Twisted dark room in Paradox; - Eternal night, unsettling food, mind-bending activities in TWD; - Darkness, blood and blue fire in TPW; - Darkness in Underground Blossom. The effects may vary but they are all caused by corrupted souls and so, I think, are the patterns that accompany the darkness and gore in Case 23/The Mill. Especially considering that such patterns appear in The Mill only when you come close to a dark soul and in Case 23 when Deer becomes more agitated (while The Lake, on the contrary, helps Dale and gives him another chance each time he dies). Speaking of the supposed time skip in The Mill, it's not that certain too. For instance, Laura's corpse would be kept there for months in that case. With no clear explanation how it didn't rot nor reasons to wait before cube extraction. Laura's corpse was abducted before Dale but her memories were taken after. Besides, Dale discovered a peculiar testimony that time stopped at The Lake when an old man in a hat was walking by the mill. That's crazy but even the numbers appearing over the waters don't look like gameplay that much anymore, considering that they do appear in The Mill too. 16. I have a strong suspition that the dates are not cut content but rather a little bit lazy port. Seasons make me think so. They lost 3 last date screeens too (just like Case 23) but the dates are still confirmed in the cube menu. It's not the only thing missing and that's why I recommended you to play the OG version of Case 23. Not for the lore but for the experience. 20. No, I don't think the dog proves animals and Harvey more capable. The elixir does leave its body and the immortality loss is a matter of time. I think the major reason why the lake stewards can still exploit the dog is that it drank the elixir 10 years after Aldous did and it didn't wear off yet. Could be overthinking but I also heard that dogs generally eat and sh*t less than humans. No idea if the devs considered that. 24. Some would say there were elevators in other games too. So another reason why Paradox came before them is the direction the elevator comes from. It's from above as if Paradox is the lowest froor. What's more, judging by early playthoughs on YT, it used to be the other way around and the devs actually found time to fix it as if it's something important. 25. What's fun, Laura's plan in Seasons seems to be worked through. Considering the blueprint that depicts the timeline if you look into it. When it comes to the machine, I recently started thinking that Rose could have helped with it. I can't wait for the devs to show us what truly happened in 1981. 26. Don't take me wrong, I do connect Seasons and Laura's Blossom. I just don't connect Seasons and the great cube/the elevator. I'm just inclined to believe that 1981 was initially a real event taking place long after Owl and Dale succeeded. Basically Laura created her own "timeline" with blackjack and... *Cough* And thus Harvey witnessing The Lake endings out of order. So far it seemed to me that Owl needed them both to eventually come to the hotel alive so they could both take part in the elixir ritual. Chances are, Dale took off alone 1st because he had a personal journey to go on. (I'd really hope to see the same for Laura but... yeah...) And it's actually believable that Crow would support Laura's candidacy. The question is, would he be able to do much? Would he really go against Owl? Would he bring in living Laura without his approval? Would he be able to keep Albert and Rose in secret? Would he himself know about them? Would he, on his part, let Albert return? So many uncertainty against Laura finding her own black train to The Lake with no conductor inside as well as inconsistencies between UB endings. With all that said, I thank you again for this discussion. I learnt much and now I have a few more things to look after as the story develops.

    In all of the FNAF theory content I’ve seen, I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone talk about Afton’s victimology. When people talk about why and how Afton kills it’s often put in very simplistic terms and people try to justify it. I think examining the victimology feels a lot more satisfying and thorough.

    Hey, wonderful video! Here are some personal notes and theories I believe Dale's grandfather was not present at the party since we don't see him in paradox, I think he was put there in cube escape birthday as a way for Dale to get to the ending where his parents are not dead For the part with theatre and the whole Bob memory, I believe that Dale saying that he will find her might reference the fact that Laura in case 23 disappears from the murder scene, I also believe that Bob shot himself at the same day and was taken for questioning, since trying to kill yourself when a detective comes to you might be quite suspicious Also, I think Dale's memories being altered do not change the timeline, just changing his memory, probably so he won't have any bad memories, not sure why tho, maybe it might damage the enlightenment ritual (pretty sure Laura gets rid of her corrupted soul for the same reason) Also, pretty sure that Dale's and Laura's minds are connected due to the machine in the white cube, this is why Dale is corrupted from time to time and also why we see Harvey in every game (letter from Harvey in cube escape birthday, him appearing in paradox, etc.) even tho Dale never met him in case 23 Also also, pretty sure the reason why Laura has the dreams of a corrupted soul and overall struggles with mental health are caused by the fact that she is a corrupted soul and was even before birth (since she is reborn William who was a corrupted soul (god I hate William so much)) ps, personal headcanon, I like to imagine that best kept memory is being led by either Albert or enlightened Dale/Laura

    • @zefiewings
      @zefiewings Před 24 dny

      Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I also don't think Dale's grandfather was there, but since this is a timeline video and not a theory video I didn't want to say definitively, I wanted to keep theory out of it as much as possible. But I wanted to bring up the possibility briefly. Finding her body is a really good thought! I like that, it really clears up a lot of my confusion if that's how it went down. It seemed that him shooting himself DID seem like it was most likely right before being taken in but I wanted to be upfront that I didn't really know for sure. I lean towards it changing his memory as well because if it changed the timeline itself it creates a whole mess of problems. But on the other hand, they do put a lot of emphasis on time being non-linear and being able to change your past in the series. Plus we see that Laura's blue cube DID manage to make a literal change since it brings her back to life. I don't know, and this is absolutely a topic I plan to make a full video on to talk about the different possibilities and information we have for it. Since it's a point of confusion in the timeline video maybe that's the one I should do next. Dale and Laura were definitely connected in that cube. That whole situation is so fascinating to me, I can't wait to do a deep dive talk about Paradox. Yeah, William's soul is probably messing up Laura for sure. Love that headcanon! I have a different headcanon/theory but yours is extra hilarious if it's Albert because that means when he 'fires' Chad he just goes there and murders him. And don't mistake that for me saying it doesn't make sense: that is absolutely something Albert would do.

The fact he can’t remember the bite makes me believe that the impact of the actual bite, made his brain forget automatically the incident to protect him psychologically. And William is trying to make him remember so he can kill him. However, maybe in future games, he’ll focus on the Freddy and Chica mask bullies too. My guess of why he targeted Cassie’s dad first was maybe he was Mike’s best friend and they both came up with the prank

    There's also Fitzgerald believed to be the Bite of 87 victim. Like ooftroop said in their timeline, "Bonnie, possessed by little Jeremy Fitzgerald, was merely a prophecy of more face trauma to come for that bloodline." They also called Bonnie Mask Jeremy Fitzgerald II, kinda crazy what HW2 makes of it. Comparing the PQ4 graves to the FFPS screen, i could somewhat see it saying Charlie as Chica, Jeremy as Foxy, Fritz as Freddy, Susie as Bonnie, Gabriel as Golden Freddy, and Cassidy as the Puppet. And yes, Barbadroid does great art.

      The idea of these character's 'bloodline' being their animatronic death trap rather than their human family line is hilarious to me. And accurate to the series. Yeah I used what I saw being the most commonly accepted interpretation of the graves in order for this theory. Unfortunately when it come to a series like FNAF we typically have to just pick what accepted theory cannons we are going to work with if we are going to come up with anything interesting. Its just important for us (me) to keep in mind that while that has been the most said and not 'corrected' in a future game, we can only use it as long as something else doesn't come along and make a compelling argument another way in the future.

    I'm amazed at how well you did all this! I've played all the games, and I only really understood about 60 percent of the lore. I'd looove to see a part two. I just finished Underground Blossom and would love to see all of Laura's life featured in the games put together.

      It's filmed and im working on the edit! It was just a bit delayed because I wanted to get the underground blossom stuff in there :) Thank you for the kind comment!
