Un gigante
🎶He would have had the opportunity to listen to Beethoven's piano concertos and either compete with him or compose one or two, together!
This is one of favorite pieces of music of all time. And I adore Dame Mistuko Uchida's performance of it.
I think I could make this view counts 580K from current 570K by myself.

😮
Dame Uchida is a musical blessing!
Brava!
I just played this for my recital a couple of weeks ago.
These 4 compositions are an absolute gem and a pleasure to perform as much as to be an audience! Beautifully interpred here! Wendy Louise Hall (Pianist, Composer a.o]
아픈 젊은 시절의 나를 미소짓게 만들던 독특하게 우아한 첼로 소리...

Fantastic. Never heard of him, and made me blame myself
I like travelling in Hansel’s London. 7:45
Very beautiful !! Love Mozart music !! ❤

He does a GREAT job with these. A "non-classical" guy outperforming the classical pianists who've recorded this rep.
10 numara Thanks❤
Gênio sublime. Obrigado às divindades celestiais por não sentirem-se constrangidas e enciumadas ao permitir a existência de Mozart
Easily one of the best versions, if not the best, of this partita (and the others as a matter of fact). The singing quality, the rhythmic precision, the clarity of the polyphony… On second thoughts, THE best interpretation
Lumineux !
genius
This was written in 1861. Despite its adherence to the formalism of, and inspiration by, some its magnificent predecessors of the form (Bach's "Goldberg" and Beethoven's "Diabelli" come to mind), I hear a harmonic adventurousness that not only seems right at home in the Late Romantic period, it actually seems to jump ahead of it, into Impressionism. In this recording (as well as in the one by Emanuel Ax) I am also floored by the range of tonal colors achieved by Perahia's playing. Two hands, one grand piano... and all those timbres!

I love Murray Perahia's Mozart
Моя любимая❤
Beautiful!
I'm watching the golf on the telly, while listening to this. It sounds incredible, but it is no substitute for the complete orchestra. Just my opinion.
Could Zimmerman or Lugansky give these Beethoven Liszt transcriptions a go ? Cziffra didn't, which disappoints me.
This is my favourite Beethoven symphony, and... his pastoral piano sonata is my favourite Beethoven piano composition. So Katsaris has done the world a huge favour by recording all these Liszts Beethoven symphonies for piano !
All the top pianists avoid playing this because they know that this is too hard. Even those who can dispatch the Liszt Sonata and Beethovens Hammerklavier with aplomb won't touch this, because they know it would ruin their career.
Wonderful wonderful performance. Perfection, truly!!
Don't forget ... the composer birthed most of these ideas on his keyboard in his musical laboratory. So to hear them in their "maternity ward" so to speak is a refreshing testament to the spark of new beginnings, and helps catalyze hopeful feelings for the future (even 'small scale' futures, such as the time it takes to listen to this piece).
i wept through the whole thing 01:50 onwards

Bach !!!!! I love youuuuuuuuuu
Thank you lady Maria Joao. You are a fantastic pianist. From Bellagio, Itaky. Near (50 metres ) Liszt hause (1838 )
The original composer of the 2nd movement, but young Mozart improves, especially considering for larger forces: czcams.com/video/ERrt8SLYb1w/video.html
La "pianista" per eccellenza...❤
Found a video of this if anyone wants to see his fingers. I think he looks a lot like Beethoven especially during the storm. czcams.com/video/mQFdntev-TE/video.htmlfeature=shared
👏
His notes sound like pearls in velvet.
Anyone else here because of Ripgroove?
I only started exploring Pires' recordings of Bach recently but I am immediately won over. The articulation, the dynamic contrast, so precise yet so expressive ... just a supreme sense of balance from start to finish. What else can I say? Some of the best Bach I've ever heard in my life.
Her wonderful and inspiritual and graceful performance is an authentic Schubert
