I primarily stream on Twitch, but I use my CZcams channel to upload highlight compilation videos recorded from my livestreams. I work full-time and stream Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays in the evening which doesn't leave me a ton of time to work on videos, but I'm hoping to upload at least one video a month. I also have all of my old Let's Play videos uploaded on here for old time's sake.

Imagine this kind of thing on modern consoles like say: Nintendo Switch. It makes it look like you went to the home menu and deleted all of your save data or closed the game.

I been playing this some myself, it’s pretty fun. I still prefer Texas Chainsaw Massacre though which I been playing on Gamepass, and just got on the steam sale to level up all over again. 😂
okay, is it just me being weird, or did this video use to be in higher quality? I can barely see anything going on, and i remember watching this compilation like 6-7 years ago and everything was perfectly clear
I think part of it might be that the default player size is a lot larger than it used to be, and since the video's resolution is pretty small at 360p, viewing it in a larger video player will make it look pretty rough
I am not sure if you know of this. It is possible to uninstall ship modules by pressing the button on the floor at the front of the modules. I have not played this game but from what I understand the community has said BRAIN turrets and shields are necessary. The Energy Gatling turret is considered sub-par. The Shuriken Carronade and beamcaster are considered better. I think the small ship works best with 2 brains, 1 turret (I say beamcaster for max power), 2 shields, Generators, and extensive use of power optimizer. The bigger ship has enough space for BRAIN full coverage.
Thank you for the helpful info! We did eventually get confirmation that we can move guns around, which was the part I was unsure about since I remember moving other modules around. Super helpful that all modules seem to be re-installable. Super good to know that the BRAIN turrets are always great though. I haven't used them as much when I have a full squad, but I can absolutely see how they're always at least helpful.

Found out you can light the Layek on fire with the flaming mallet splash damage to hear it use an unused audio track. and harm it.
Ooooh now that's interesting. Also I didn't realize that that creature was called the Layek. Since we're trying to find something called "Layek essence" to get past that X-ray doorway, it sounds like we'll need to get the essence from him somehow. Not sure if he can be killed necessarily, but knowing that the Layek essence likely involves him helps us out a lot. I might look to see if we have notes on him already from reading the emails in those terminals. Thank you for the info! Helps us out a lot since we were a little stuck when we wrapped up
@@SuperHobbit To be spoiler free. Go back to his containment cell when you first entered labs and read the terminals. they hold useful information on how to get essence. took me a while to figure it out myself too.
@@SuperHobbit also another "tip" because the game doesn't make it obvious. you should go back to the foggy hills portal and pick up a mail box. the red ones. it gives you a recipe for a storage crate that will greatly benefit you and the only way to find it is that way. you can go an entire game without ever finding it.

This is nowhere near all the sanity effects but thanks anyway, just wish you wouldn't mislead but hey 12 years later you got the views so it worked I guess. I just care about honesty
Apologies, I definitely didn't mean for the video to be misleading. Back when I first put out this video, this truly was all of the sanity effects that I thought were in the game, and at least at the time there was no definitive list of all of the possible effects. I've played through this game all the way through about 7-8 times over the years, and usually I like to go out of my way to keep a low sanity meter because I love seeing the sanity effects. There aren't any effects that I've experienced first-hand that weren't included in this video. That being said, I do know of at least one effect in the mansion that I've never seen. I think it's in the library, and several of the books will start floating in the shape of a ring around the bookshelves. I've never managed to see this one myself, which makes me think there probably are at least a few others I've missed over the years.

The Steam key giveaways that we do are done via raffles on my Discord server. We unlock giveaway keys by completing challenges through a site called Dare Drop. Unfortunately we haven't completed either of the challenges that we're currently working towards for this game yet, but I'm hoping to get back towards working on them when I get back in town next week

Why Nintendo hasn’t bother to remaster or even remake this underrated horror game is beyond me.
A lot of these are just really gimmicks rather then scares.
This game messed with me so hard I had to give it away because I got stuck on one of the mansion interlude levels and the atmosphere was so oppressive I just couldn't bear being defeated by lack of walkthrough at the time I could have easily looked up (d'oh) and also genuine fear because holy balls this game actually played with my mind at times. The time when my head fell off and I picked it up and it spoke Shakespeare to me... 💀

Eternal Darkness: This Can’t Be Happening!!
I think they need a remake for this game
This is 1 of the 1st games that ever broke the 4th wall and its still the coolest version of that to this day
If anyone makes a remake or sequel of Eternal Darkness on Nintendo Switch, a fake "This software was closed because an error ocurred" message, a fake Joy-Con Drift effect and a fake death screen with an anoying sawtooth noise must exist as sanity effects.
Don't forget this: The game exits to the home screen, opens the game menu and uninstalls. All by itself.
