I was an analyst and my wife Dianne Weber was a ditty-bop at Chicksands between 1974-1977 on Baker Flight (the Baker Boozers). She was also on the women’s basketball team and I was on the men’s tennis team. Great memories!

I was an X1 stationed at San Vito dei Normanni Air Station, Italy, from 1974 to 1977. I was in Baker and Yankee Flights. I was sent to Chicksands RAF for SSD training in the fall of 1975 for 7 weeks. I can relate to everything you have posted here. I guess it was the same at all the FLR-9 sites. I wouldn't trade those years for anything, but like you said, the Morse code intercept knowledge and experience never translated to anything I did on the outside. Oh, yeah, when anyone waiting for their tour to end, they always referred to looking forward to taking the Freedom Bird home. Thank you for the memories.

I am content with being a penniless loser with zero dollars in my savings, living check to check. Fuck student loan debt... Working 35ish hours a week gets me by, the alternative, at my current job is 40 plus, with occasional random hours and for what? 5 grand in my savings? (this is cliche but true >) I could get hit by a bus tomorrow and that's a wrap... Why would I basically donate my time to some greedy twat that doesn't give a fuck about me when I could instead, spend it with family that may or may not be here tomorrow? (they might get hit by a bus too) Or just donate my time to myself and do what makes me happy? My boss gets a dollar and I get a dime. Fuck that guy. I'm gonna enjoy life while I still have it because tomorrow is not guaranteed. My biggest advice for every worker out there is this: Poop on your bosses time! If they have shitty toilet paper bring your own.... Better yet, if you can afford it, bring your own portable bidet and a fuckin squatty potty. If you have an Amazon situation where they allocate your bathroom time, send them pictures of your shit and describe what you ate, right before you stage a walk out.
