    Beehive fans have pondered the ACT III album cover as well. The best prediction I've read is her riding on a Harley Davidson "Steel Horse" Motorcycle. That was the one I could easily picture aesthetically. It stays true to the horse theme of Act I & II and Act III predicted Rock album. And my prediction on music videos is that we are getting them for each act album. I've seen filming clips of her on social media. Also in the Im that Girl teaser video she showed all the MV clips in like 3 seconds, then in Act 1 tour the interlude visuals she gave us I think are a part of some of the music videos. I think once Act III is released she will release it midnight on Netflix with all the Act music videos just there when we wake up lol

    I agree w/ ur assessment of this amazing project this genius methodically well done work of art. Beyonce is very intentional in the way she moves. Like she said on Yaya "they can't f*ck w/ me b/ c I am a clever girl."

  • @bdhu2001
    @bdhu2001 Před měsícem

    Beyoncé uses her albums to tell a story. It’s like watching a movie. You wouldn’t want to come in 1/4 of the way through, leave and then come back to watch the end or have people to tell you the best part and then go in just to watch that part of the movie. It’s weird, because I didn’t realize that until I watched someone react to her entire Lemonade album recently. Having said all that, let me give you an overview of the movie that is Cowboy Carter: This whole album is in response to how she was treated at CMA. American Requiem is telling them about themselves. She researched and it took over 5 years for her to develop this album. The album is full of history and reclaiming music that black people/ slaves started, but were kicked out of once it became popular. Blackbird was written by Paul McCartny to give black women/girls hope during the Civil Rights movement . He saw how they were being treated. That’s why all the singers on the song are black women. The others are four black female country singers. Let’s just point out that Country radio has an issue with playing black artists so Beyoncé told everyone about her new venture during the Super Bowl then dropped two country songs. The Bey Hive activated and most country stations played her music. But to top it off, her album is presented as it’s own radio station with country legends presenting her music. This Album was meant to be Act I. This was Beyoncé’s response to how she was treated at the CMA. The requiem funeral procession was trying to let us know that Country Music was rooted and started by blacks. If you look into the history, it started by people putting on black face for minstrel music making fun of the slaves with their banjos. Then people who are credited with starting country, came to black street artists to learn their craft. Once it became big, black people were pushed aside and they started gate keeping the genre. Same thing happened with rock & roll, jazz, blues, and many of the genres that are considered to have been started in America. Thus, Beyoncé is reclaiming all of the music that we’ve been kicked out of that we helped create. It’s why this album delves into all those genres and ends with her buckin breaking down walls and asking if we can hear her now. Then she says that we are the ones who have to clean ourselves of our father’s sins to end the funeral procession .

It's great to hear the male perspective (whether a fan or not) with such thoughtfulness and acknowledgement of her talent and prowess. The intentionality of this album is beyond anything I could have anticipated, even as a fan. It's incredible to witness TRUE artistry but moreso I'm proud she is at the point of using her capital to change what needs to be changed, like she said she would. Keep up what you're doing! 👏🏽

    Episodes 6, 7 and 8 are methodical build up for Book 2 and Book 3 events. This is the advantage you have when you have a complete book series to adapt, you don't have pull an ending out of your own asses like GoT because GRRM won't and not going to finish the books. As a book reader (all 3 books), I can see all the huge foreshadowing and stuff planted in season 1. But for first time viewers like you guys, the payoff won't come later until season 2 and season 3.

    There are millions and millions of people who refuse to read or study. As a result, there is a very strong possibility that biopics like *Shirley,* *Origin,* and, *Selma* will ONLY be seen if they are turned into good movies. For that reason, there should never be a pause on EXCELLENTLY DONE biopics on Black people. We need the message to get out and get known. I can't tell you how many people of all races I've come across who had zero idea that Black Women were responsible for NASA making it to the moon until they saw *Hidden Figures.* It would be nice if there wasn't a need because people were smart and well read, but that doesn't exist in this country. Seeing the movies inspires people to research the person/event more, thereby gaining knowledge that they would otherwise never have. 🤗

    They misunderstood actually even the trope of the Magical Negro. The movie trope was a way of inserting black characters in a movie during a time when white audiences were uncomfortable with black characters in movies, yes, suitable for the "white gaze." Frankly, though, the magical Negro trope has lost the purity of its real meaning in recent years because blacks are more acceptable in many different character types today. As it was used for the benefit of the white gaze, the magical Negro was never in a movie to protect black people from "dangerous" white people because white people didn't see themselves that way. The magical Negro was used most often to help a feckless white person become more effective. This movie is inconsistent in what it wants "magical Negro" to mean. It starts out saying that the purpose of the Society is to protect black people from dangerous white people, but the white character here is actually the feckless white person of the typical magical Negro story and certainly not anyone that was ever going to become particularly dangerous to black people. Moreover, the movie _eliminates_ the Society at the end of the movie...so is it saying that white people are no longer the "most dangerous creature on the planet" and thus the Society is no longer needed? Or is the movie saying that Aaron's selfish behavior has unleased white hell upon hapless blacks in America and that Aaron is the true villain of the movie? I'm not accepting Aaron as the protagonist, either. _Why_ is he so uncomfortable around white people? His mother is white. Half his family tree is white. If he's still so excruciatingly uncomfortable around white people...what happened to him? _That_ would be a story in itself. Nor could I see any particular racial conflict in a half-white man competing with a white man for a half-white (and fully white-appearing) woman. As a biracial man, his problems are not the same as mine. His life was not the same as mine. His biracial life might have been something good for a movie, but it wasn't the same as mine. Here's an idea for a romcom: A biracial man who identifies as black wants to date a biracial woman who identifies as white...and she's a bigot. It's an updated version of "Imitation of Life" as a romcom.

I had intended to see it because I understand the Magical Negro trope (I LIVE it on a daily basis 😒), and I adore David Allan Grier, so I tend to support anything he does. But this one I could tell was missing the mark when I saw the extended trailer and could see they were soft soaping the subject so as not to offend mayonnaise americans. That's when they lost me. But I'm glad you mentioned *American Fiction,* which was phenomenal!!! 🤗

    I wish people would stop comparing Stars Wars to Dune. Dune is true science fiction, with somewhat of a basis in real life. Stars Wars is just pure science fantasy, not even sc ience, just plain silly fantasy. George Lucas couldn't have tackled Dune, if you gave him 5 years to do it.

    • @cambodianz
      @cambodianz Před 2 měsíci

      I don’t agree. I think both Dune and Star Wars are neither true sci-fi. You’re right about Star Wars being fantasy, but Dune also only used sci-fi as a setting mechanism, it’s much closer tales of ancient mythology than anything else. Herbert is writing a pro humanist story divorced from science and technology. He’s interesting in what people can do, not what their relationship with technology can do.

    • @coxmosia1
      @coxmosia1 Před měsícem

      @@cambodianz Your last statement is what makes it science fiction to me, much more so than Star Wars. Also, a possible metaphor for the spice in real life is oil, from which we derive our ability to travel, just on earth, though. 🙂

    Great video guys! Thank you! I hope Denis incorporates both Messiah and Children into one film, (3½ hours minimum), to finish Paul's story. As much as I love the first three books, the last three are problematic, to say the least. God Emperor is unfilmable not only because of Leto II's... appearance but also the gross baked-in homophobia. Heretics and Chapterhouse are seriously weird. I'm very much looking forward to the prequels happening on MAX.

I also like Eggers and Monteverde. I never thought I'd be into what they call arthouse. I thought indie was for snobs. They way they do it now, you see the colors, shades, symbols and they do a very good job and making it obvious by showing it in a frame, certain messages up for interpretation.

    The third act was VERY rushed. This movie would have been better served as a trilogy to give more impact to the the spice (which was glossed over), the importance of the Guild, fleshing out the Corinos and Harkonnens, and taking time to introduce Feyd and so on. Denis's movies aren't perfect but they done the best at showing the world of Dune in the visual sense. Lynch's film crammed 10 pounds movie into a two pound bag. Denis has done a hell of a job but as far as Dune he rate 7.5 out of 10 for bringing it to the screen. Which is great considering this story has long been deemed incapable of being brought to film. As a film by itself, Dune Pt 2 gets an 8.5.

      The third act of the book is even faster. Villeneuve made it last longer.

    Mea Culpa is a Good Movie, in My Opinion, it is no worse then any other Movie, Soap Opera, TV Show, Horror Movie ! The Title should be changed to Family Culpa !!! Because that Family was wild !!! Leave Tyler Perry alone let him express himself !!!
