I just finished the game and I am so underwhelmed. The story was very good..... sometimes. - But most of the time it went to nowhere. The best character died early on (Cid who always kind of reminded me of Butcher from the boys. And the sidequests..... 90% of them forcefully tried to give every character (smith, vendors etc) some meaning but it was so boring and added nothing to the main story. All it did, was unlocking some stuff. I was hyped for the game because I thought the combat would be brilliant but it was only OK. It was kind of like DMC mechanics but clunkier. Like I allways wanted to throw the enemies in the air with "Left stick backwards and swordhit". And ALL enemies were too easy. Only Ultima was kind of challenging because he went all over the place with his attacks. ( and I needed a few tries to figure out the pattern of the big dragon, but once done, it was so cheap and too predictable) And even when you die in a bossfight, they just let you, fully healed, full equipped with health drinks, restart in the middle of the fight. That was like a boss fight for toddlers. I think, it had some good potential. The story with the slaves, the plage and so on. But it turned out hm.... only mediocre. By the way, FF15 was awesome. It kind of did not have so much in it, but what was in there, was very good. The characters were all interesting, driving around, camping, fishing felt enyoable and the "end of the world" felt meaningfull and very depressing. I was devastated and empty when I finished FF15 ( I also played The last Guardian just before ff15 so I was double emptied. :D ) But FF16... yeah..... I now trie to find some sense in reviews.

Much better combo mad video clearly showcasing DMC player's skills, rather those FF16 videos "I played 400k hours watch me combo mad" and the whole screen suddenly fills up with mindless explosions, melting my eyes lmao.

They may not have been with us long, but in the end, they were true rockstars.

The fact that you had to use a mod to be good at this dismal game is kinda funny. Just proves how bad it is. DMC will always be a horrible franchise with boring ass gameplay.
