My first larp was Empire, and three years on I'm still going. 😃 I am in the UK though, and only a couple hours drive away. You're right about how involved you want to get - I get massive FOMO as I miss quite a lot of events due to the lovely lovely (not) British weather. PD make the events as accessible as possible, however the realities of being a wheelchair user at events which turn into The Muddening mean I can't really get round so it's not worth going. I'm currently praying to the larp gods that July's event is a) dry and b) not in a heatwave. 😂

Your outfit in this video inspired an outfit for my new character as the clothing you chose in this video is surprisingly effective as medieval fantasy male clothes as well. And this video is excellent English speaking international advertising for Burgschneider as it convinced me to give Burgschneider a chance. And I have not been disappointed. It also looks like you all had great fun. Nice to see you and the Skill Tree folks together. I love seeing connections grow in the larping community.

Another idea which I have used is to texture the “wood” handle part. Use a wire brush and create “grains” in your handle to resemble wood grains. Excellent job !
