How can the onboard being removed? Is there a possibility zu empty the tank for a longer absence? After a few days the water in the robot begins to stink awfully! Roborock soap doesn’t prevent it.

DO NOT BUY THIS. The product was working great until it was broken. The nightmare started when I had to claim the warranty. Mine died after 7 months of use. After sending the unit to the repair centre and waiting for three weeks, they sent me a $700 invoice because the damage was caused by dirt and cockroaches and this voids the warranty. Yep, you heard me right, the warranty can be voided for this cleaning machine while it’s cleaning dirt and cockroaches get into the machine, so you are out of luck. I was shocked by hearing this from manufacturers and it’s my fault instead of the product. They put these details on their website but I am pretty sure no one will ever know this until it happens. I bought this $2500 machine to clean the floor and the machine can get hot and wet, it will attract pests as it creates the perfect conditions for them. They finally declined my request of so I could stop others from buying this to going through the same process. You need to make sure that your intended space needs to be a clean, pest-controlled area so it doesn’t break itself. So if you are living where cockroaches can be present, do not buy this machine so you save your money. Finally, their warranty claim support is not helpful. They just repeat the policy and they don’t approach from the customer’s side. They are sending me the machine as not being repaired as I refuse to pay the invoice.

Your video doesn’t show the docking ramp when turned upside down to clean the auto-empty dock - are you supposed to remove that to clean? How?

Will the S8 dock filter fit the S7 MaxV Ultra dock? It seems to be a better design with two filter elements.

Do NOT buy this robot!! You are more than likely to have serious problems trying to connect it to the internet, and there is no support from the manufacturer to fix the problem. Few of them work, but I've returned two, and I'm now fighting with my third roborock S8!! Do yourself a favour and just don't buy it!

First time i used my new S8+ the dock worked.. but all the dust from the robot remained there.... absolutly discusting to have a 800euro product failing like that on first use

When I take the Roborock S8 downstairs and set it off, it starts drawing the map over the top of the upstairs map and messes it up. I had to restore the upstairs map and then it lost all my room separations I'd done. :/ How do you get different maps for both upstairs and downstairs?

This would be so helpful as I’m pregnant and know that I won’t be able to clean as often as I like to when bub arrives. I have two small dogs that lose hair like crazy every day so vacuuming is a very regular thing in our house. This would save my life when adjusting to being a new mum 🥺

How does this go with double coat breeds? I have a rough collie, an English springer spaniel, a med hair domestic cat… and then my hair 😂

A vacuum that is programmable to vacuum and wash? Amazing! Coming home after work to clean floors, and no dog hairs would be just the best. Definitely putting this on my wishlist
