When BMG Finally Adds Placement Matches - Brawlhalla Highlights

Infinite elo glitch discovered??
I'm super glad BMG finally added placement matches. This is feature that has been needed for years. It allows newer players to more quickly be placed among other players of their skill level. Since I started playing Brawlhalla, players are placed in Silver rank (1200 elo) which is way too high for someone new to the genre.
At diamond level though, this just makes getting to mid diamond SUPER fast now...

A little late here but try holding forward the whole combo until the recovery connects, then hold backwards to steer the recovery so the opponent doesn't fall out . I usually input the d-light with a down-forward so that I'm already holding forward before even starting the combo

Respect has been earned for the Reno pick! I main Reno for two’s and love the character, what level is your Reno? Mine is lvl 28!
Currently sitting at level 85! I've played mostly Reno ever since he came out around 2 years ago (can't believe it's been 2 years already) Nice, love to see the Reno in 2s. I find he pairs well with characters with high kill power since he has a lot of good setup moves, but can struggle with kill power on his own

I use the one here: github.com/univrsal/input-overlay A bit of a pain to customize and set up for your specific key layout, but it works nicely with OBS

D-air into s-air only works consistently at high damage (like in red, you d-air and then jump s-air). They changed the d-air angle a while back so it doesn't string into s-air very well at low health anymore!

The Blasters' side light > pivot nair string is something I've always wanted to learn, but Reno's Blasters dsig > dair combo is something I also want to learn now. I should see if you made guides on these, you seem so practiced with Reno. Would it sound childish if I said I look up to you? Good work, either way.
For s-light n-air, after hitting the s-light, chase dodge diagonal up/forward and n-air the opposite direction. Should be 1 dodge frame if you hit it frame perfect. D-sig d-air is kinda gimmicky but it can result in some unique clips haha. I appreciate the kind words! ☺

@@Nate-uw8wu I think you can still do this but you can't dodge cancel a triple skateboard then doing it again bcz it was possible before (infinite triple skateboard combo)

This video is just meant to highlight the importance of dodge jumping and how OP it is, not cover all tech
how do i know if i’m doing it correctly?
I would just compare it to a regular jump and notice the difference of momentum. For dodge jumping, as long as you jump sometime during the dodge (the window is pretty big) you should retain the momentum. Fast fall jumps are a little more subtle but if you compare it to a regular aerial double jump you should notice a difference in speed
