Thanks for stopping by! I love exploring creation, sometimes its just in the backyard seeking out little critters with the family or its trekking national parks or epic camping adventures - whatever it may be, I love all adventures - great and small... My channel is all about the adventures we have and the gear/equipment/vehicles that makes it happen. I want to help every day folks learn more and be better prepared to get out there and enjoy the outdoors!
Getting an extra 2+ gallons of gas in a Jeep Gladiator | Overland Build
Recently discovered on a 8k mile road trip in the gladiator that you can get 2-3.5 extra gallons of gas in the truck after you get the first “click” at the pump. This is achieved by slowly nursing it in and letting the bubbles evaporate, also you’ll need to rock the truck as well to help it settle….the gladiator gas tank is on the passengers side, but the fill port is on the drivers side leaving an usually large amount of dead space that can be filled with a little effort. I typically averaged about 3.5 gallons added, I stopped short in this video as I needed to get on the road.

Just picked this one up! Like you the color combo definitely caught my eye and convinced to me to finally get a bugout!🤘
Definitely love this color combo! Thinking of picking it up🤘
Awesome video! Such beautiful sights in God's creation. :)
Indeed! Psalm 19:1
I got one for 500 my my retailer they needed inventory space and sold it for me almost at whole sale price. I love it 😊
Magnets for running wires is brilliant. Great job organizing your gear 😊
I have a Coghlan's fero rod&striker and in my personal opinion the striker does not work I can get sparks off the rod with anything else but not the striker it comes with.
Hahaha I said the same thing I took a file to it but I just cut a hacksaw blade up and it always throws large abounds of spark
@@NOISlights I have a very cheap "Taiwan" folding lock blade and that throws sparks like crazy but not the striker that came with it. I took the file from my old leatherman to remove the "paint" and that was throwing a spark or two.
@@clarencesmith2305 I have a Leatherman sidekick that I did a plier delete on that file is killer for the farro rods that’s what my daughter uses as well it’s easier for her to hold than the hacksaw blade.
Love the setup and has given me some ideas on how to redo my kitchen. I've got a cabinet that I use in the back of my CRV but have been drooling over the Overland Kitchen for sometime now. I like that you sprayed it with the bedliner. I used bedliner spray on my roof basket. One question I have is I notice the slides on the kitchen drawers when you pulled them out, they looked black as well. Did you spray those too?
How is it better or different than the Bugout?
it isn’t a flimsy piece of shit like the bugout. you can’t bend/snap the griptillian in half. it’s also ten times more comfortable and just generally built more robustly. oh it’s also $40 cheaper too.
My wife and I love your set up ❤❤❤
Great damn near perfect
Can we get a link to the lighting
Is the clip adjustable?in case for side carry?
Just picked up a mini adamas and couldn't be happier with the stability and overall build quality.
What roof rack are the roam boxes sitting on?
Awesome setup. I have the same Roofnest condor xl roof top tent. Did you repainted it and change the lock for it? Would you make a video for the your roof top tent? What do you used to paint it? Thank you for advance 😊
Now that is the proverbial '20 lbs of stuff in a 10lb can'. Well done!
What are u going to use for a stove.?
Hey! I have a double burner stove that pulls out from the kitchen set-up - check my other videos and there's a long breakdown of the whole kitchen!
It's never easy or cheap. But a great build. Well done.
'Promosm'
Great setup. I would love a parts list of what you used.
Good review, what is the going price now for mini?
Nice setup, thanks for sharing.
Relax time. Good video
Thanks for the review! In theory, you are supposed to be able to thread it in reverse (I wonder if there is a small burr that you need to overcome) ...if you wanted to make the sheath into a larger purchase/handle for throwing sparks. And 100% agree with practicing your trade. In an emergency, most of the time, we do not rise to the occasion, but we do fall back to our training. Train well, play hard.
I like it!! Great review!!!
Thank you!
Absolutely love this variation of 940!!!!!
Me too…probably my favorite varient
Nice setup 🤜🤛
Thanks!
Great Set up, Looking forward to seeing you out exploring
Thanks!
what a great set up you have. So very nice!!
Thanks so much!
Dope setup 👍🏼
Thank you!
Great setup! Looks very thought out and organized! Have a great trip!
Thank you!
Is the belt clip removable for using exclusively as a neck knife?
It’s riveted on so I don’t think you could remove it unless you drilled it out…
How much does your rig weigh fully, loaded with fuel, water and people?
That’s a great question! I don’t know, but I’m planning to weigh it!
That’s a very efficient build. Looks great from the outside with a ton of storage inside. Good luck on your long upcoming adventure. There’s a lot of great places to camp out there.
Thanks so much! Excited to use it to its full potential…we’ll see how it goes!
Love your set up!
Thank you!
Thank you!
Wow, it is a nice set up. I could go (living in) with that all year around!😀
Thank you! We’ll see how it holds up, we may end up with a trailer halfway through lol
Awesome set up. I am certainly gonna take a look at your other videos. I am especially keen to see the details on the kitchen. Really interested to hear what you learn from your long trip. Have fun!
Thanks so much! I did a long video on the kitchen - check it out and let me know if you want to see anything else in particular!
well packed. Do you have any idea of the added weight of everything? You should have all you need for your adventure.
Thank you! Eh it’s pretty heavy, I’d estimate around 800-1000lbs before filling the water tanks. I added airbags and that got rid of the sag. Then did rancho shocks in the front and back, a heavy duty sway bar, and a better steering dampener…it’s still not great, but much better.
Looks like a great setup. Looking forward to following your long trip.
Thank you!
Great build i have a 2dr with rooftop tent condor from roofnest don't have a slide but I do have space for the stuff I need.
That’s great, sounds like a nice setup!
Price?
The orange one goes for around $200 and the OD for $270 I believe
Overpriced
Metal plates seem like a good idea, until you have to hold them while eating. I regret my enameled set.
LOL that’s what my wife said. I think I see plastic ones again in the near future
Reality is you won't know the best set up until you're on the trip but that'sa good start. Cheers fopr sharing.
Thanks and you’re totally right! We’ve done about 7 nights in it so far to test it and each one we walk away changing things…totally expecting to want to change all sorts of stuff once we get on the road
Added a set of flytanium crossfade titanium scales. Bought there CS 20CV with black hard ware. l never like the stock scales so they did not last long
That sounds cool!
I like it!
Thanks!
Thats nice and all, but I would've liked to seen some snow falling...
lol yeah…I fell asleep. I had aspirations of filming it, but then it didn’t start until like 1am and I gave up and went to sleep haha
looks a lot like the folts minimalist
Interesting! Hadn’t heard of that knife before, your definitely right!
Just like it
CRKT makes it, can be found at Walmart and Lowes, pretty good design. Fairly popular.
Nice knife, nice review! Suscribed for more.
Thanks so much!!
Thanks for sharing your experience! Beautiful spot to camp.. Are there any fish in that pond? What brand was that portable fire box/pit you had? Thanks again for sharing and putting the video together.
Thanks for your comment! I wish there was fish, that would be a fun place to fish for sure. The fire pit is a Ignik Firecan. They make a more powerful version that I’m considering getting.
Nice. Just got a smartcap on my gladiator. Gives me some ideas.
That’s great!
