STOP MOVING EVERYTHING CONSTANTLY. Your video is extremely hard to follow, because you can't stop moving everything around. You're faster than the autofocus on the camera, so nothing is in focus during your closeups. Video would be excellent if you could hold things still long enough to get through your explanations. As you're holding these tiny bits and talking, you're constantly bobbing your hands in and out of focus.

any idea how to take apart the film counter assembly? it seems like the spring on my model has weakened so it doesn’t go back to 0 after opening the back. This was still the case after taking the assembly out too.

Hi! Your videos have been the MOST helpful I've found so far. I'm having a hard time with an issue on my Pentax that has more to do with the the focus screen not being set right (due to a bad repair job by someone else). I cannot find anything online to fix this. Would you have any insight?

I've got a faulty 645NII body. Installing new batteries and switching on lights up the outer LCD. Mirror is half-way up. Nothing moves when I press the release button. Just discovered that the batteries are flat i a few days, wth th on/off swuitch in the off position. Is this the sign of a failing ground switch and/0r burned out "inductor"? How to check the inductor? Is it working as a fuse, so it should be closed circuit when OK?

Don`t sure if it is my case but my shutter is just moves a bit, but not full move to make photos. I also have red and green light, and using analog bats, by advise of chat gpt. I`ll try this manual hope it will fix my nimslo

Hi, your video is very useful!!! May I ask how can I access the rewind gearbox? My G1 makes a weird noise when rewind and it does not rewind the film.

Could this be why my 645n mirror sticks up in landscape, but not in portrait or if i hold the camera upside down?

I've got several Nimslos that need new light seal foam, but it's all so old and goopy now that I can't tell what the original thickness was. Have you replaced light seals in yours? If so, which foam thickness did you use?

14:10 - you could also put some kapton tape over the CPU to protect it and its plastic mounts from the soldering iron. Very good video though

Does anyone know anything about the lens on these? I'm curious about using the front element on a 3d printed mirrorless lens adapter (without having to tweak the model to hold the rear element too). Is the front element similar/potentially swappable with a normal plastic funsaver lens element?

Hey! Thank you for making this. I'm curious if you've ever had an issue with an endless power cycle issue. I just got a C1 and the battery was dead every morning. I finally just sat it on my desk to see if I noticed anything and after about 6 hours it beings an endless power cycle. seems like an odd issue!

I got a contax g1 on a deal because it occasionally will skip every other frame during shooting, any thoughts? Only happens every so often and sometimes turning camera off/on resets it. Where do you work doing these repairs?

hi, long shot, i recently acquired a second c645 body and it suffers from the well known issue where the metering fools around in spot metering(which isnt so bad as i usually dont use that mode) but secondly that the speed dial is off by one stop, meaning(in manual) i put it on 125 and in the viewfinder i see 250, not a biggy either, any idea how to fix this? my guess is someone did already try to repair it and put this dial back on wrongly, cheers

Hi! Thank you! It's the very helpful video for those who's in trouble with their RX100! I always appreciate such videos. I'm going to buy one used M6... Do you know how much folding cycles is this screen (cable) certified to? I'm in between choice about Lumix SZ100 (but will need to wait for it) or RX100 M6. Sony cameras are more accessible in our second hand market by some reason. Are they less loved or IDK... The price is on par with used SZ100 and it's a little wonder for a moment.

I know that the video is a little old but I have a hp42s which I used for my masters one side of the keyboard stops working. I would like to get it repaired but I don't do it myself because I don't want to destroy it.

I just picked up one of these UK models. I suspect that I have the same issue with the shutter being stuck. Is it possible to repair without new parts in any way? Can the old be serviced as I cant find spares here in the uk by the looks of it. Im yet to open it up as I want to test electrical function with batteries first. Many thanks

This is two years old with a lot of great info BUT ... I wish you would repeat it with more attention to keeping the calculator in the center of the screen. Also, there must be a jumper you cut for the calculator to know whether the RAM is 8K or 32K. Please show it closer and slower so we can see it. Thanks

Did your LCD screen power up but did not display any thing? Currently have this issue and just replaced the LCD screen too but still nothing. I am wondering perhaps its the LCD cable?

you can use a pencil eraser for the black piece on the back top right
