    Thank you, Mr. Weber, CMU, and Meta for partnering and studying this technology. I was one of ten disabled consultants at Meta earlier this year, helping with their designs to make gaming and the Quest headsets more accessible to those of us with limited hand mobility and dexterity. I have been a C5/6 quad (paralyzed from my chest, down) since 2010. I use two pencils to type with and a rollerball mouse. Without the use of my fingers, I am limited to what I can "play" and what apps I can use on my Quest 2 headset. ♿👍💯

    I knew Dr. Grossman (Ignacio Grossman Epper) while we were students (elementary, secondary en preparatory school) in Mexico City at Colegio del Tepeyac. He was one of the best students in that school ran by Benedictin monks (Ora et Labora). I lost contact with him sometime during preparatory school (High School). Now just by chance I step into this extraordinary achievement useful for dramatically reducing water consumption in industrial processes. I congratulate Dr. Grossman, who emigrated from Mexico to find a place where he could better develop his talents. I am sorry for my country which could nowadays (2024) could make good use of his knowledge in times of severe droughts. Cheers from Mexico Dr. Grossman....!

    After the cell has repaired itself what happens to the armor? Does the cell consume it do the nano rods break down on thier own, how do you dictate the life cycle of a nanorod? Is the nano rod biological? lots of Questions for a 2 minute presentation

    Homes with basements offer a unique opportunity to supplement heating and cooling systems. Basements have stable temperatures. This allows for a controlled basement warming system that is most ecconomical and consistent in cold regions. Summer heat can be managed with cool basement are being used to maintain living quarter temperatures ecconomically. The cost is only air handling with no additional cooling system energy needed. Static Geothermal systems should be investigated. Our basements are our resources. Lucky us.

    This is absolutely bonkers!! I'm beyond amazed! I am researching how to build a small walker with Raspberry pi boards, and I saw designs with 6-12 motors that have problems with RL. It is beyond amazing what you've been able to achieve! Congrats! How can I print this?? Please open source the stuff! The maker community is going to go wild, all we need is an stl file!

    Maybe good for the toy industry. But seems kind of usless to work so hard to create a bipedal robot that cannot go up and down stairs, or uneven surfaces.

      The real win is the use of a single motor. The kinematics of walking are very complex, and even a straight walk is hard to achieve with 4-6 motors. The use of mocap and center of gravity computations are super super awesome. Think about their end goal: they want to have a lego-sized walker. This robot is just a first step in that direction, and in many others.

    Can't join the chorus of praise. Scientists of the 21st century are more stupid than an ancient country child. He knew how a frog swam in a tadpole. But if we put the tadpole on the sand, we get the same movement that brilliant scientists recreated. Congratulations! P.S. Hint: make a waterproof model and you will know the possible movement cue of the living thing.
