I'm more of a landscape photographer but I've found the same thing with that genre too, everyone is looking for the same type of shot, nobody is really trying anything creative. Sure they might be good as a piece of corporate wall art but nothing more than that. Boring!

Pleasant and well done as usual, but the trend towards stating that content is more important than composition seems cliché too these days.... There are people like myself who are naturally drawn to geometry and "meaningless", "story less" compositions. I think that trying to devise a general rule is probably contributing to the mainstream thinking...

I really enjoyed this video. Thank you! I've often wanted to ask people if I can take their portrait, but haven't worked up enough courage yet. But this video was good for the confidence. I might start with the dogs as well. That seems like a good idea to start with. But I do have a question. Do you have a good system for remembering who wanted you to send a copy of the pictures on instragram and who that person was in order to send them the right photo?

I randomly found this in a pawn shop sometime in 2015, some how even to this day the 5n/5r is my favourite camera to this day. Something about the sensor produces such a warm nostalgic colour and the video mode is soft but in a pleasing way. If this had an audio input it wouldve been the perfect camera for a long time for video.

A cold shoe should protect the planet from global warming😂 This will be a good camera during the new years/christmas sales. And again, we demand from the camera the price that m4/3 or crop camera cost. It will definitely not become the main working camera, but as an addition to the s5ii it will be very ok

The other day I took some pictures with my E2100 and while I enjoy the look of the colors 2mp is just too low.

Advertising e-Bay casts some doubt on the un-biased-ness of the video. Ebay has long stopped being a good (even less a CHEAP) place for shopping: it is just a shopping mall where professional vendors offer street-priced gods adding shipping and VAT at checkout. You cand find the same prices visiting the maker's shops, not to speak of Amazon which often is not cheap but where customer services an garantees are on a different level. And speaking of camera bags, not all photographers use compact-sized Sony that fit in a wallet, and when a summer water-bomb soaks your China made cheap bag and the 2000$ reflex inside you will MISS the "elitist" quality of a Lowepro waterproof zip.

Are you going to offer any cheaper options to buy your presets? You have the free presets for signing up to your email list (which are great BTW!) and then the full membership but nothing in for all the people in between like me who don't have £35 to spend on Presets.

I had the NEX-6, but rapidely sold it to buy my first Fuji : the X100s. It’s day and night.

Comment section is like a get together of S9 haters. I think everybody wants it to have a viewfinder, hot shoe, limitless recording, a huge grip, more buttons... hold on. Thats the S5II.

I got one today (Fuji E510) shootting manual make photos so authentic, it really look like film (once edited especially) but in auto it lack the emotion, but I guess Its with every camera.

There is, I suppose, a reason for the omission of a hot shoe on the S9: they didn't want you trying to use a flash! What's the sync speed on this all-electronic shutter? Maybe 1/25s... if it supported sync, which is does not. You don't need a mechanical shutter, but you need a faster electronic shutter. It's really the "roll" speed that matters. The roll speed of a pro-grade mechanical shutter is usually around 1/250s. There are a few non-stacked electronic shutters on M43 that roll at 1/60s or so -- not bad -- but unless you have a stacked sensor, you want a mechanical shutter option. Even the Olympus OM-1, with about a 1/125s electronic shutter roll, has a mechanical shutter. The Nikon Z9 got to 1/270s on the electronic shutter and could rightly leave off the mechanical shutter.

Oly M10 mk 1 is my main camera. Try the Zuiko 20mm f1.4 Pro. It can mimic 35 or 50mm with feet zoom . I ended up selling my Lumix Leica 15mm f1.7 & 25mm f1.4, bought a Zuiko 45mm f1.8. I like the Oly natural colour preset, I shoot JPEG+raw. In fact Oly in-camera JPEGs are the main reason of using Oly cameras, great time-saver...

Wow. I'm gob smacked. Must have watched a dozen reviews of this camera and yours is the first that doesn't sugar coat all of the ludicrous omissions and short comings. Warms the heart to find a reviewer not willing to fellate a camera company in order to secure an all expenses paid trip to their next launch event. Camera companies take note. This man is potentially your greatest asset. If he tells me your camera is good I will actually believe him...unlike all the other shills that swallowed and didn't spill a drop in Japan. Subscribed.

Good advice here. I carry a Wandrd Prvke 31 as my airplane carryon as i can carry my laptop, camera(s), lenses, nc headphones, etc in one solution. On arriving at my destination though I shift to a daypack + sling solution. Right now these are the Osprey Daylight or Wandrd Veer + Wandrd Detour with inflatable camera cube. Superb solution allowing me to bring a body and a lens and, as is pointed out here, take more pictures.

Lumix fan - owner of three bodies ...that said if the s9 were water proof and the f8 fixed lens was welded to the body, it wouldn't even be a good action camera.

Hey buddy. I see you're using the stock 12-32 lens. If you don't need a filter, I've discovered that the OM SYSTEM OLYMPUS LC-37C Black Lens Cap is compatible with it and has been a game changer for me.

I have a gx9, a fp & fpL. I'm good. In fact I use a S5 as a backup and it's really a good camera. If only pana had chopped the S5ii like Sony did with the a7cii/cr I'd have considered it..

This camera reminds me of my Camp Snap cameras. Have you seen them? Pretty fun camera that I love and would recommend for fun.

I haven’t watched the entire video but the dangly flap door for the 3.5mm heaphone jack makes a lot of sense to me. It‘s gonna be open the whole time you have an external mic attached and so if it gets caught on something like a jacket, the hinge won’t just snap off.

The blue body should have a sensor made of blue pixels, then red and green body analogically ;) stack the photos from 3 bodies and you have a RGB image.

I just took a look at the L mount lenses and man they are all big. There is no single pancake or near pancake lens.

the question is: will you ever get a test camera from them again. it's a full frame gx800, comparing it to the gx80 is not that good, because it aims for a different costumer probably.

This is such a great video, saved me from going for an expensive compact camera bag pack when I already have a peak design cube which i can just toss into any good quality compact bag pack
