A gay vampire! Wow in the 60"s. Very adead of its time. The only really funny part of the movie . Espcially the dynamic between him and his father. Begrudingy accepting him.

Disagree. Very easy to follow. Editing could have been tighter and other characters should have been more likeable. Felt great chemistry between Ryan and Emily. Stunts were amazing. If you’re reviewing a movie with links to a previous series, you could easily have checked it out? Lee Majors little cameo at the end credits? Nice touch.

I LOVED it too! Loved every messy, complex minute of it. It was different - not a cookie cutter type of movie with a 'happy ending'. Again, LOVED it! IMO, Zendaya did a GREAT job in the movie. She was great and believable in her relationship with Art. She was great in her relationship with Patrick as well. That's why I believe her acting was so great...her character was not likeable. All 3 of them were wonderful at playing co-dependent individuals. Art needed Tashi and Patrick. Patrick needed Art and Tashi and Tashi needed Art, Patrick AND good f***ing tennis.

What I’m looking for in movie reviewers is less of critiques and more of their actual thoughts. I like reviewers who are clearly subjective and are just voicing their opinions, not acting like they’re the voice of cinema and truth. Which is why I really like Jeremy Jahns and Cosmonaut. They’re clearly passionate about movies and are just voicing their thoughts. Even when I disagree with them I’m not angry as I know it’s just their personal feelings. That’s also why I despise reviewers like Critical Drinker and Nerdrotic. Even moving past their anti-woke agenda, which is their biggest problem, these reviewers act like they are objectively correct and if you disagree, you’re part of the problem. They are conceited, dishonest and rarely talk about the actual movie and instead the politics surrounding it. Any reviewer that uses “Go Woke, Go Broke” or “M-SHE-U” arguments, I immediately ignore.

You've totally missed the point about the film. As someone who's watched the movie and read the short story the movie it's adapted from, I can tell you this film is brilliant. Miguel Ferrer is spot on in his performance as Richard Dees as Dees is meant to be that cocky arrogant A-hole journalist type. He has a lot of charisma and presence on screen as does his co stars. The film is scary, not in jump scares but more in atmospheric feel. For example even in the scenes where Dwight Renfield doesn't appear, because of the amount of times Dees and the other characters reference him you feel his presence is still lurking around.

I thought you gave it too many plus's when it was just so random, and you had to skip soooo much of it to even give it the plus's you did. Here's my take.... Totally not the urban legend I was hoping it would be, pretty much a let down to say the least. I'm 51 years old, and remember seeing friends watch this at a party decades ago and not really thinking much about it then, but I didn't sit there and really watch it. So.... I just thought the friends who sat there watching, just did too many drugs...lol And... Hehehehehehe I was right !!!!!!!! I'm home sick right now, and I FINALLY thought after all these years, I'm going to watch this, and see if the hype is right or Blaaa, and I'm going with Blaaaaaa for sure !!!! Hahahahahahaha Now....I guess I see why people (who are stoned) think it matches up, because in the beginning when the witch rides her bike the music picks up right on que, and the tornado part matches for a BRIEF time, but, then doesn't, and the munchkins dance in time for a FEW minutes then they dance to mellow music that's far off, but the rest, more or less, clashes, and I don't see any relations in between, and the only time after the munchkins scene is over half way through the movie, for a few minutes of Comfortably Numb with the Poppy field, but I think that wad the version I saw and put in there by whoever made the video. But pretty much all the in betweens make no sense at all and are way off. So maybe 20 to 30% of the first 1/4 of the movie actually matches up for a moment or so like 4-5 short times, and that's more or less it. Maybe if I took a hand full of Quaaludes shot up some heroin and munched a ton of acid and shrooms on top of ecstasy I'd totally think this was awesome, but definitely not sober and sick in bed....lol Sorry, not out to offend anyone, I had high hopes... I'm a musician that tours the last 30 years up and down the east coast. So sorry, I personally just don't see it, and I'm surprised about how well know this Floyd/Oz thing is. If you do think it's great, all the power to ya, enjoy !!!!! I hope you do ! Ps. I just figured I'd bitch, because that's what sick people do !!!!! Hahahahahahaha Have a great day !!!!! 👌😁👍

Critical Drinker is in a tier all to his own. Unlike Ben Shapiro, who's blatantly a right wing grifter/"go woke go broke" idiot, Drinker tries to present himself as not that when he so clearly is. All you need to look at is his Across the Spider-Verse review to see how much of a pathetic coward he truly is. He gave the film some dumb as hell "woke" criticisms, his right wing audience actually criticized him for them, and, instead of standing ground, he took down and edited his review to better cater to the audience.

I would have to say my favorite is probably Stitchetogetherpictures, or Andy the Maniacal Cinephile. I feel he's super underrated and always puts effort into his reviews. Plus I like his brand of humor too. As for Moviebob, he's a lolcow up there with the likes of Darksydephil and such. Seriously, it's a rabbithole. I'm not one to throw out any kind of "Oh this person is bad" because I've had people do the same thing to me - people are complicated, but his outside lifestyle interferes with his movie reviews in a negative way and he has an OBSESSION with feminism and Super Mario of all things, so I'd generally agree with your list but I'd put him down at F. Just me.

Red Letter Media is great. I watch a lot of horror movies, so We Watched a Movie is good for those. Comic Girl 19 has slowed down in recent years but she has a pretty balanced way of looking at things and the production value for her is great. She has some animatronics sidekicks that add to her videos, which is really fun. Deep Focus Lens is okay. I used to watch her but part of that was based on her looks. She is pretty articulate but she comes off as cold and sort of like she herself has thought so much about movies that it would take a lot to change her mind about something. Which is sort of an ego thing if valuing your own opinion so much.

Critical Drinker is the worst of the worst. Guy blatantly lies about the movies he watches. Also, the fake-drunk Scot act gets old _really_ fast. And I genuinely can't tell how much of this is all an act to maximize his profits. If he acted like this with his wife (he is married) or in public, he would come across as a complete asshole and even abusive, and end up in jail pretty quickly.

Here are some cool film critics I watch that I recommend checking out: Adam Does Movies: Adam is a really cool critic. He reviews a ton of different movies, both old and new, and he's not only really funny, but also unbiased, and expresses his points well. The Little Platoon: Platoon has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor, and his reviews are very long and in-depth. He also runs a podcast with the equally cool Movie Cynic called The Best Show In The Universe (Probably). Kyle Norty: Kyle Norty is honestly a fantastic critic. The dude is a great critic, able to express his opinions in a really understandable and clear way, and his comedic timing is on point. There are points in Kyle's reviews where I genuinely laugh out loud due to his comedic timing. He also has some really interesting review series': Kids Are Smarter Than This, where he reviews bad episodes of kids shows he likes, NDTV, where he reviews direct to video movies, and Film Exaggeration, where he reviews movies that are either known for being really good or being really bad, and sees if they're really as good or as bad as people say they are. Musical Hell: A series where a demon named Diva reviews bad musicals, judges their problems as sins, and decides on their punishments. Good Bad Or Bad Bad: 2 guys named Bryan Schilligo and Kyle Hinton review so bad it's good movies, and decide whether they're really so bad it's good, or just plain awful. Willie Muse: Willie makes really long reviews of various different movies, mostly Christian movies, that are really funny, well made, and entertaining. And he also has a cool knitting aesthetic.

Interesting video. Here are my thoughts on all the critics in this list: YourMovieSucks: I really enjoy YMS. He has a pretty good sense of humor, and I love his film festival videos. The Critical Drinker: Personally, I like Drinker, but I definitely understand why others don't. He's an acquired taste to be sure. John Campea: Haven't seen much of this guy, but from what little I have seen, not really a fan. Double Toasted: I've watched bits and pieces of Double Toasted. They're aight. RedLetterMedia: Mr. Plinkett is mid, but other than that, RLM is cool. Nostalgia Critic: Nostalgia Critic was pretty much my gateway into the movie reviewer sphere. I really enjoyed his content, and still do, but at the same time, I do think there's a lot to critisize him for. Chris Stuckmann: Eh, he's ok. Grace Randolph: Grace Randolph is basically if Hasan Piker was a woman, and talked about movies instead of politics. Jeremy Jahns: Don't watch a ton of his stuff, but I respect Jeremy Jahns. Mostly because we have the same name. Ralphthemoviemaker: I used to be really into Ralphthemoviemaker, but kinda stopped watching as he stopped making videos. Cosmonaut Variety Hour: Eh. I always thought Cosmonaut was kinda dull. Ryan Kinel: Yeah, I don't like Ryan Kinel either. The dude just has an abrasive personality and very surface level takes. 20:53 - Oliver Harper: Haven't watched. 21:19 - Kermode & Mayo: Haven't watched. 22:47 - Ben Shapiro: It's Ben Shapiro. What do you want me to say? 24:32 - Movie Bob: Eh. 24:59 - Deep Focus Lens: Haven't watched. 26:16 - Film Threat: Pretty cool. 30:00 - Sean Chandler. Not a huge Sean Chandler watcher, but he's pretty chill.
