Initially, it was simply their exterior design that appealed to me. As I got older, I learned that not only is the Town Car a great-looking car; it is also a very safe and reliable car. What are the model years of Town Cars your family owns?

@1996ChevroletImpalaSS No, I actually sold it in August 2022. But before I sold it, I bought another one to replace it, just like the last one. The newer one I have is the identical same color in much better condition with sunroof and leather seats.

@@TheCarHornMaster Oh, definitely! I got them put in the other car. That was the first thing that was done to the car before I sold it. I couldn't part without those horns!

That's awesome! At 115,000 miles, you're just breaking this car in. The engine's practically still a baby! As you may already know, these Town Cars will last you up to a million miles or more. Just regularly change the oil, and you'll be good to go! I'm on 161,000 now.

I wanted a 1989 as my first car because it came out first and I wanted to use my money to buy an car before it got more expensive as collector's. I wanted to get a newer 2011 Town Car but they were still pretty pricey for my budget at the time. The seat belt is tucked away in between the crevices of the middle seat.

Thank you! I didn't know Chicago had a beach either. It was one of my favorite places to relax in the city. Chicago is one of the most beautiful cities in the country to me. It's got a little bit of every thing to me. It's got the tall skyscrapers of NYC, beaches like the south Pacific, rivers through the city like Vienna, and the teal blue waters like a tropical country. It's a great place to stay in the city during the summer. I personally couldn't live there during the winter. It's too cold there.

You wouldn't know mine at least because all the buttons would be worn since all the numbers in my combination are pressed. Also even if a few of them were pressed, you still have to figure out which order the numbers are in.

I'd buy both. You should start off with a 1989 model. These are becoming harder to find and the few good ones are very expensive. I did just that. I bought a 1989 and 2011 Town Car. There will be plenty of 2011 models in good shape for now. This car lasted a long time. Unfortunately, I ultimately sold it last year in August. The transmission started going bad in 2018. But I still drove it until the transmission finally died in 2022. I did make an update video on both side-by-side before I sold it. I was able to make my last update video there. But happily, I found one like this in the same year and same color but with leather seats and sunroof. The mileage on my second 1989 Town Car was about 110,000, the same mileage I had on my first '89 when I sold it. These cars have great engines and overall reliability, but transmissions aren't the best. The car I found was in much better condition. So I'm taking much better care of it now. I don't drive my current '89 model as much as my last one.

@@CharlesSmith1 thanks so much for feed back I am definitely interested in the 95-97 might just do that. But like you said it may not be as practical. Parts might be an issue finding and do you find your self going to mechanic a lot for these type cars the older model years? That’s the only thing holding me back but I agree both would be ideal. Not a bad idea I might start with the 95 and upgrade later.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you like the color combo. Most people like it. I didn't like it at first. I always wanted an all-black Lincoln Town Car. The first year I got this car, I was even planning on getting it painted black and the top replaced with a black one. But since everyone talked me out of it, I learned to appreciate this color and it grew on me. I love the 1960s-70s Continentals, too! They are my absolute favorites. I would've bought one like your car but this 1989 was the moat affordable, classic box body Lincoln I could buy. I agree. There's nothing like these fine cars.

That Car is 79 inches wide, did you struggled to drive it as your first car? Because im thinking getting a 2010 town car for my first car
